Today, 25 years ago in april 1996, I stood outside that house and suddenly Philomena came out and invited us to her Philo museum. We had an unforgettable afternoon in her house with many fabulous stories about her beloved son. One of my highlights.

Phylis told me funny story.. She said 2 oriental young chaps came up to her door.. She opened the door and said come in, come in. One of them handed her a piece of paper with something written on it? She ushered them into the Philo room, gold discs and portraits on every wall plus philos jukebox in the corner.. Phylis then looked at the piece of paper! Then she cracked out laughing as she told me... She said they were only coming to ask if I wanted my windows cleaning.. She said they had never fookin heard of Philip!!! 😂🤣🤔🤪 She was an amazing woman. X❤️X

Still sorely missed. Lucky enough to meet him once. He rocked and had charisma in every pore.

My wife and I went to white horses in 2005 with friends of phylis and we became friends with her..we accompanied her on a few charity events in England and had some fab times in her company..she was kind, loving, generous, funny, and honest..she insisted on comming to our house in chesterfield and having a cup of tea on one occasion. ..she loved and missed Philip desperately. I just pray that they are reunited again now.❤♠🎸RIP PHILO AND PHILOMENA XX

I knew Phil and his mother from my childhood. They lived around the corner from my Grandparents house in Dublin, Crumlin. Such a lovely woman and very modest She would let everyone in the house if you were bold enough to knock on the door.

@@kevinbergin2833 I left school in 76..i hated the place! Suddenly I was working, earning money, drinking, smoking and chasing after girls.. I felt like my life had finally begun.. I bought the jailbreak album, and it blew my socks off.. I followed Lizzys every move and bought the whole back catalogue of albums.. I met a girl through the music and we married in 83..we are still together and happy with 2 kids and 5 grown up grand children. I owe so much to Philo and the boys.. I cried openiy for Phil ang also for Gary.. I have been blessed in my life and I will be forever grateful for the music.. X❤️X ♠️🎶🎸

I visited Mrs Lynott and her fiance Dennis, back in 1997. She invited me and my girlfriend in for tea, and she showed me Phils room, like in this video, I saw all this stuff from Lizzys career, It was and still is the highlight of my musical life. Philomena was so kind and helpful, we talked for hours about our lives, about Phil and Thin Lizzy of course, it was really a very special moment in my life. I still have a video (VHS) from that moment. RIP Philomena and Phil. Say hi to Gary Moore from me. God Bless you!

I met Mrs Lynott in a Youth Reach in inner city Dublin back in about 2002. She'd go around talking to kids about Phil & how drugs killed him when he had it all. I had to explain to the kids who Phil was & about Thin Lizzy etc... Sound woman
