That's a good pace for a 16km workout run. Nicely done! Trail biking and running on the same day is rough on your knees though, please be careful :)
Be bold! Start cold! I always opt for a bit less in layers when conditions are on the edge.
Carbon Yt izzo or ripley af. Pretty reasonable pricing ( also on sale), and both have their advantages. Weight with the izzo and the ripley doesn't hang up on anything. Both descend super well. Can't go wrong.

I’m definitely grateful that all the trails around me are old moto trails that are already absolutely shredded haha. I think it’s finally time for me to upgrade from my 1998 hardtail so I’m getting a polygon xtrada 7 from MEC on sale for like $875
I ride an Ican s3 XC bike 100/100 but can be 110/110 or 120/110 it’s 520 mm reach in xl, 66.5 degree HTA and 78 STA it’s a rocket ship, and can still be very comfortable pointed downhill at Wentworth.
I really need to get in better shape so I can enjoy those kind of trails more. Everything around here wrecks me

Granted, he's talking 18,000 CAD...but that's still $13,300-ish USD. Which is SO much more than I'd dream of spending on a bike.
In the meantime I'm trying to justify getting a new tire, a tubeless setup, and a chain cleaner. I'm more frugal than I am smart sometimes.
