The first woman 'assumed' 'not hearing' from the property owner that they were working with her for not paying her rent. Lesson learned.
The court sided with her and dismissed the company's claim.
The property manament who I work for does things a bit different, when a tenants lease is about to expire they given 90 days notice to renew or leave. If any repaires need to be done by a tenant we ask them to put those needed repairs in writting and in as much detail as they can. The tenant is always told within 3 days when said repair/s will be done, our management company does that this way so both side are happy with the other. Because of this way tenants always stay a lot longer, since I have been there we have only had two evictions throughout the whole properties around 750 tenants in all. Treat your tenants with respect and they will stay a lot longer.
They put her through all that just to raise her rent fron $975 to $1400 a month.
They just wanted to get her out so they can raised the rents -- 😠
Two words. Home ownership!
Most Americans live paycheck to paycheck, they can't afford an emergency. So suggesting buying a home during the worst time to buy anything is misleading. You need money for the costs associated for getting into a home, movers, taxes, insurance, HOA, lawn service, home repairs, and so on. Yes she can do things to lower those expenses, but you need at least a year of savings just to breathe in between the issues that come up. Eventually rent will get too high and landlords or companies will eat each other. Then local government will magically find solutions to a problem that existed since the 90s; if not longer.
so 3 months later she never got a cashiers check?
Confused on the first girl. She would not get a paycheck for 30 days so she told her rental. 3 months later she was notified about the missing payment? After 3 months you just assumed the month was forgiven? Why didn’t you pay it back after 3 months. I think she is in the wrong.
She needs to move to California where nobody pays rent 😅
Please investigate all these apartments complex something is going on here also with the mail people are not getting mail.
"Newport News"
What a stupid name for a town. A newspaper, maybe. A town: No.
Why do so many people hold keys to your apartment
Owens:I bet she wanted to be paid on time
She should try to get Section 8 assistance that they don't tell you about for things like this there's a lot of things Section 8 don't tell people it's called emergency housing voucher
They wont help white people.
That is why people need to save up 6 months emergency fund if they can't find a job.
True, work three jobs if you must but have that nest egg available.
@@UncleDavesKitchen 3 jobs? no thanks, I retired last year 2023.
@@ryanretirement6662 Of course we're talking about that young woman not paying her rent because SHE didn't have an emergency fund in place.
@ryanretirement6662: how you build up an emergency fund when your wages are eaten up by rent, utilties and the cost of food, and what does a '6 months emergency fund' actually look like?
If the police are corrupt you have no rights.
Nothing but GREED...
The first lady, you should always have an emergency fund, so if something like this ever happens again you would at least have a roof over your head. You should have 3-6 months of your monthly expenses put into a savings account, and don’t touch it only for an emergency ( such as what you’re going through). The first bill that you should pay would be your rent, then pay for food, then utilities. Credit card bills are the least important. Always take care of home first, so you can live to fight another day.
She should have also ensured to request a response within 24, 48, or 72 hours in addition to sending the email with a sent and read receipt. If she didn't hear from anyone, contact them certified or send the same correspondence to the office in person. While it's easy to tell someone to save, AND they should, not everyone can so I simply offered other options she should have done as well.
After being evicted myself and now have my own shout out to the private landlords who gave this old girl a chance.....I pay rent, utilities, car insurance first then I eat....damn food 😂😂😂 don't worry someone will feed you but give you shelter heck no....PAY rent 1st after the 5th day my landlords will knock lol lol they have every right to do so and I have an emergency fund put back for car repair or rent I don't make much but I don't go out spending either on unnecessary things.....homelessness will change you❤
My name is Daniel Cherry I may have to get the news also. My landlord Richard Seibert he owns where I live at 4 Highland Park Batavia New York I asked him to fix the porch he said we're going to have to part ways then he said he's selling the house and now he's terminating my lease and not only that there is a person at Section 8 trying to take my section 8 her name is Becky h o k e it is called PathStone... if I don't find a place by April 30th I get shut off PathStone and nobody will talk to me except the person Becky who shot my children and me off for filming a long time ago she says I can't have any other worker she gets their messages before they do now and I know the end for me is coming and nobody believes me.. nobody on my Facebook even cares they're not going to be homeless and destitute living in a storage locker I got one leg I'm 62 years old I raised my children I just want to be happy and I can't find a place that easily where I can put my e-bike and my ebike is my wheelchair
Section 8 will tell you you can move if you don't like it they look the other way they do not inspect and if they didn't I'd be homeless in this place is a 1000 times worse than that at 4 Highland Park Batavia New York 14020 I will get Justice cuz I'm going to be living outside with one leg nobody cares and lose is scared blah blah
