I can't get it to sew zigzag and other stitches, it's stuck on straight stitch. I turn the selection dial, but it doesn't do anything. How do i fix it?
Yes, it does! It works beautifully. Do about 3 straight stitches to get the fabric started then do the same as this video. Hope this helps😊 Also hold your. Threads at the beginning stitches to keep fabric from bunching behind the needle, just until you get it started.

That looks so easy. How do you prevent the fabric from coming out of the curve?
You should use your hands to keep that in place and notice one thing that machine already has that curvy thing

I wonder if this foot, with the fabric laid flat and not rolled, would work for cording in between layers of fabric to get that nice close 1mm finish.
I'd think it would work!
You'd have more luck with a right side zipper foot. Cord on left, narrow foot part on the right.

Can one do one side at a time. Easier to fold and sew about 3 or four inches manually, then fold fabric into the machine.....

It does take practice. Try on scraps first.
