I have this one, and love the teal colored second hand, date wheel, leather strap, and the dial brushing that looks like an airplane prop spinning. That said, the Zodiac/Hodinkee version has lumed Arabics-but the dials on that model are just standard field watch color-1 green, 1 beige. In addition to lume, has nice railroad minute track too with syringe hands. I prefer this model with regard to looks. The Hodinkee for functionality. They need to have a baby.
almost grand seiko levels of reflection with the hands and indices....no lume(i was as surprised as you that there was nothing)but...when you dimmed the studio lights, it was surprisingly readable in low light.....dial is a banger ...and the case shape is a welcome departure...2mm wider and id get one!
After my recent experience with zodiac/fossil retail and return process I'd avoid at all costs. The warranty department sends you on a website loop to a dead page and at this time I am still waiting for a refund 14 days after the confirmed return of the broken super sea wolf they sent me. Bad service.
@@johnrb9397 update- today I was refunded , took a couple of calls to confirm and seems odd it takes 14 days to process. A long time to hold the money when they are in receipt of the returned goods. Glad it's finally resolved.
I can't speak for returns but a few months ago the crown on my astrographic broke I called to inquire about getting one it was like $100 which I was willing to pay but was clearly expensive for a tiny crown and stem. The next day I called to place the order they just told me it's on the house and sent it to me in the mail. I didn't even take out my credit card. I guess I got lucky.
I had this one until very recently. I really wanted to like it, but the poor legibility was an issue. If Zodiac updates it, I hope they take steps to improve legibility. It's a fantastic watch otherwise.
Too Bad they are owned by Fossil now , if you have any issues with your fossil products they have always been known for treating their customers like garbage . So make sure your watches are running well because you will get F'd if you need to warranty or a return/exchange .
I wish zodiac still made watches. Cool names and cool designs in the old days. These are just overpriced fossil watches. Fossil is like GM, and swatch is Chrysler group.

I have this, it's gorgeous in person. I'd only get if you can find it at a nice price.

I own this one and nothing is wrong with the legibility and trust me my eyes are bad

Im not a fan of zodiac, for no real reason other than there typical design language doesn’t really do it for me. This one however I really like.
