Durability is definitely a good thing overall! And with TOTK and the ability to fuse / essentially repair weapons, I’m really glad they kept it in.
I like durability but when I get a new weapon that IM happy about and it breaks 10 minutes later its kinda annoying.
I actually agree with all of these.
Let's goooo
I completely agree with all of these takes. Especially the last one. The only games I played before BOTW were the 1st 2 games on my dad's NES, so complete openendedness of progression is one of the only facets of the game series I ever experienced, and thus, was able to get attached to.
Durability is kinda good
Your right about the boss fights I remeber ocarina of time being kinda hard but interesting I always had to pay attention. Dark beast Ganon the game does it for you. Love the content btw 👌 ❤
Thanks bro 🙂
You said you'll listen to your viewers when we got you to do that perfect windbomb... Everybody wanted you to retry the challenge... 😭
Lol whoops... xD my bad
Agree with all of these, and I LOVE koroks so glad they’re back
I agree with all your hot takes. Therefore I have subbed. Great vid!
Thanks 👍
Durability is fine BUT repairing weapons would have been better instead of them disappearing. And crafting arrows was needed.
I do think that would be cool
yeah more arrows/ crafting would be needed.
i dont care about weapon break tho.
i literally had to throw away weapons all the time i found so many new so quickly.
I think durability works until you beat 3 or 4 a silver or gold lynel or a major test of strength. At that point, if you aren't in hyrule Castle, you will almost always be getting a worse weapon than the one you used. This is when weapon hording starts because fighting new enemies now downgrades your weapons Instead of upgrading them.
I agree this makes sense. However I still find it a minor issue as I would just occasionally just go around and wipe out all the lynels
@The Real Balto ture, but when going for lynels, you actually have a chance of getting a rare modifier. There isn't really a point of fighting lower leave enmey. This didn't really affect me personally.I would kill an enmey camp for fun and then reload the save after but it not all people want to have to undo there progress because the enmey they just killed was a wast of durability. I think totk will fix this because there won't be one "best weapon" because of the fuse mechanic.
@@thegombagamer0224 yeah the fuse mechanic is going to improve the situation alot that way we get a good compromise.
People who liked durability get too keep in and the fuse system just adds more creativity.
And the people who didn't like it get more durability
I agree with all of these and I’m tired of pretending I don’t!
I really enjoy it when my only half decent weapon breaks at the start of a fight.
Durability is great!
Durability is a cool philosophy, sort of the “learning to let go” angle, but it’s annoying in practice. Everything in this game feels so ephemeral and lacks meaning. I think that at a certain point in the game you should be getting weapons that don’t necessarily BREAK, but just become dull and need sharpened au la Monster Hunter, and energy weapons that need to be recharged or re-enchanted. Perhaps weapons that all still break but only if you’ve used them too much while dull.
The cheap wooden weapons and shields should break though. That makes more sense.
I agree with all of these hot takes
agree w these takes 🤝
I agree with all of these.
lets go u wanna fight lets go
and actually i agree with the open world thing
hi again iron I was able to watch because I couldn’t find you
I think this is about right
Bro… Weapon Durability is good, because it makes it feel like you have to use a new weapon and it brings the StampyLongHead newbie vibes 🗿🗿🗿🗿.
Ok aside from takes stampylonghead is a nostalgic great youtuber like you.
Thanks bro! Dude stampy was so good
Potato!
omg yeah when u get overpowered and then do the divine beasts & ganon it's lowkey underwhelming 😭😭
spread love for durability
I agreed with everything
I agree
Not sure why that's a spicy take. BotW is the highest selling Zelda game of all time. I'd have to agree, open world is the best thing to happen to the zelda franchise.
Durability almost made me not play the game through. It's terrible for entry to the game. However it gets better throughout playing the game once you learn how and where to find more weapons. It's really no different than a repair system and remembering where you can repair a weapon only in BOTW you just find out where that weapon you like spawns and go get some of them honestly it could have been done better and would be nice to be able to see the durability of the weapon. Really makes me wonder if all the weapons in this kingdom were made out of glass though. Open world is great it's just a little empty I can run in one direction for far to long sometimes without running into anything other than scenery. Story wise it's very lacking. I didn't mind the Divine Beasts I do however think 900 korok seeds and 120 shrines made the game pretty boring and repetitive. 1/3 of the shrines with much larger puzzles and maybe more variety of guardians/mini bosses to fight would have done wonders to the game. It honestly got to the point where I'd see a new cool landmark and be like oh another shrines on that somewhere maybe even two and like 10 seeds woopy let's go see what errands I got to run to get it to pop out the ground. Don't get me wrong I liked the game and this teams first stab at open world was a great one. I just hope they learn from some of this stuff and give us more quality over quantity in some situations and a bit more variety when it comes to collecting things. At a point you start to say do I really care if I can carry more stuff or have more hearts.
Oh what about the open world
the game would be so garbage without the durability system, i cannot imagine botw without it
First of all durability is the worst second of all...that's it
Hello, I am here to fight you in the comments
All man what about the open world your the worst your mom! :D
Lol
