Thank you for sharing your pricing and all the information! I am learning so much from you. I always watch everything you post! I go back and watch your how to video's all the time. I am new to amigurumi and your experiences have been so helpful! I have found several peope that I have pick and choose from but you have the BEST content for my liking đ. Your amazing. I like how straightforward and to the point you are as you present your information! I never feel like I need to fast forward through.... but I do rewind to get every detail ingrained đ. Thank you for sharing your business expertise and being so kind! Love youâ€
Aw thank you so much for your sweet comment!! It means so much to be to hear that my videos are helpful and that you are enjoying them! Thank you so much for being here and for watching! Much love to you too! đ„°â€ïž
You are so sweet and such an inspiration for us old fogies trying to figure all this craft fair stuff out.
Awe Katie your Crochet items are adorable, you go girl, I am 65, and crochet since I was 17, and yes it takes time to crochet items,
Love your market breakdown videos, thank you for sharing! Congratulations on your end of season sales.
Oh my goodness, all of your items are so beautifully made. So impressive.
I always enjoy these videos, and it inspires me to keep crocheting! You're doing great!!
Thank you! Iâm so happy to hear that! đ
My mom and grandma want to keep everything I look knit and crochet. I manly make blanket, hat's and scarfs which I make when I can for my family
So awesome you stand up for yourself because you are so right about your prices being good for youâ€đ
Thank you so much!! đ„°â€ïž
Thank you for your market breakdowns. It has inspired me to start preparing myself to do a market. Iâm nervous though đ
I love your market videos! I think your items are priced perfectly! I sell items the same size for around the same price, and no one has ever complained. So all the haters should just leave.
Thank you so much!! Iâm lucky that I never get many complaints and when I do they are almost always on videos. I like to try to keep my comment section positive so thatâs why I make the disclaimer at the beginning on the video đ„°
Love seeing your videos pop up! From a fellow Central Floridian! Also, admire the younger entrepreneurs out there!
Aw thank you so much! And so glad you enjoy enjoy my videos! â€ïž
Love your videos, your items are adorable. I finally have my first show in August in Indiana.
I think it really depends on where you are selling your items. For me, your prices are high but I know itâs worth it. I sell at a farmers market each Saturday and my items I know from experience would not sell as high as yours.
You are doing a great job!
Oh my goodness, The watermelon Bag is to cute, I Would make more of them they should sell easily
That's sad people hate on small business videos. I had no idea. Maybe it's jealousy. FYI, for the bulky plushy yarn you use, purchased eyes & marketing materials, I think your pricing is right on point. You totally rock this. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! Iâve been lucky and only ever had a few people say negative things but I always like to mention it in videos like this because I want my comment section to be positive place! đ„°
Ok I was so happy to meet you. I live my taco and peach drawstring bag. I use it to keep my quarters in for a game I play.
Your a doll. Love your energy.
Lora
Yay Iâm so glad to hear you love what you got! Thank you again for coming out! It was great to meet you! đ„°

Thank you so much! â€ïž
I love you and your videos Im learning how to own crochet business
Iâm so happy to hear that!! đ„°
The Key Chains are adorable,
I looked for the grogu pattern in your google doc and I didnât see it. I love the actual look of the one you used. Most look awkward. Also I will be in Tampa this weekend. Maybe I will run into you.
That would be awesome!! I hope you enjoy your time here in Tampa! The pattern is listed under âyodaâ so maybe thatâs why you didnât see it
You should try making water bottle holders for your market and see how they sell!
That is cool how you do those animals And bugs And other items I would love to learn how to do those items For fun and Sale them
Wow! What a great market! đ
Thank you!! đ„°
I love these videos! Iâm always curious what folks charge.
Iâm so glad you enjoy these! Itâs always helpful to know!
I love the things you make their so beautiful also please do how to on the Yoda plushie
Thank you so much! The yoda pattern is a free one and itâs linked below! :)
I was curious if you have a video on your earnings from your best/ most profitable market? Great video as always!
Thank you so much! That was my last market breakdown video, from April! Itâs linked in the description of this video! :)
Yes please I would love your signs!
Good luck for the giveaway! â€ïž
Your Baymax and Yoda plushies are so cute! Is it acceptable/legal to sell them since theyâre copyrighted characters? Iâm a beginner crocheter and havenât gotten to the point where my stuff is good enough to sell so idk how it works. Do certain companies not care? I heard Disney has been cracking down on people selling stuff from their IPs without permission, so just wanted to point it out to make sure youâre being safe and not putting your small business at risk!
Thatâs quite the stock! How many hours a day do you crochet?
Can you share where you found the honeycomb you use for display? Thanks â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
Yes, they are from Amazon! I have them linked in the description of my last video! â€ïžâ€ïž
Video idea you should make a video showing your favorite free crochet patterns
Great video idea!
dang you did soooooooooooo welll good job
Thank you!! đ„°
I love the dragon! đđ Can I ask what yarn you used for it?
Thank you so much!! I made it with big twist cuddle yarn! đ„°
Hey Katie! Would you be interested in trying out my first crochet pattern? (It's a chunky cow lol) I'd love to talk to you more about it!
Love you!!!
Love you!! Thanks for watching! đ„°â€ïž
Katie, I donât need the signs, but I have a question, I am disabled so I canât do the festivals and things, but I do want to start an Etsy shop, do you think you sell enough on Etsy to make it worth it?
Etsy can definitely be worth it but it is harder to get customers to find your shop. Promoting outside of Etsy, like with social media, I think is super important to actually get traffic to your shop. It can be difficult but it works differently for everyone so you could always give it a try! :)
when you started selling your crochet items did you begin selling online like on etsy or at markets first?
I started on Etsy first, I had only gotten a few sales from Etsy so thatâs why I decided to try markets and now I love them!
Love your eggsđâ€
Thank you so much! Theyâre one of my favorites! đ â€ïž
Aw so cute
Thank you!!
I'm seeing this late, but I have a question.....is that a birthday cake on the shelve behind you ?
Hi! I just found your channel! Iâm a fellow Floridian fiber artist! That said, have you ever considered a yarn swap?
You could also give away some patterns/yarns!
In general are you selling more smaller items or bigger items?
Typically smaller items sell more often since they are normally cheaper, but every market is different :)
What yarn do you use and hook size?
I think she mostly uses Bernat Blanket yarn and sweet snuggles!
so cute
Thank you!!
Where do u get your claw machine from? If u donât mind me asking. I do sell too. And I think thatâs a cool idea. and your prices are your prices. I was doing a pop-up shop just last week. Somebody came and complain that my prices were to high and that they will never pay $10 for a crochet item. And I asked her if she had the time to set down, so I can show her something. I ended up show how much I have to spend to get the material that I use. Long story short, she ended up buying 3 of my stuff.
Wow that is awesome lol! The claw machine is from Amazon! I have it linked in the description of my last video, the market vlog! :)
@@katiebeingcreative a thank you. Sometimes people just need to be educated on stuff.
@@hermicemeiyan991 totally!
I sew and also crochet scrunchies. I feel sad whenever I see crocheters sell their scrunchies waaaayyyy too low in comparison to the handmakers who sew theirs. Crocheting takes time and you can actually injure yourself.
It's just fair to price your items, considering your time/skill, materials, overhead expenses (we use electric for the lights. Yes? Gas to go purchase materials or go to market?), and of course TAX.
Totally! Those are all things that a lot of people donât consider when it comes to pricing handmade items. Weâre not crazy, our prices are actually reasonable when you break it all down!
@@katiebeingcreative Yes. People tend to compare the prices from offshore made items, which is totally unfair. There's a huge difference in your currency. You guys use dollars. Most workers from these offshore countries will be lucky if they earn $100 a month, with a family to feed. Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think Americans will be able to live for a month with just that.
I'm from a 3rd world country in Asia, but consumers from my country still prefer those from China, 'coz they're still way cheaper, even though they have to cross vast sea to get here. đ„
Keychains donât sell well for me either!
Good to know itâs not just me!
đđđ
the people who make silly comments about hand made items are totally clueless about craft, you can never compare a hand crafted products to mass produced products. It's unfair to expect crafters to price their items ridiculously low that they don't even recover the money invested in making the product...if you feel the price is high you're simply not the target market so just keep scrolling for cheapies
I love your videos, and I appreciate you sharing your prices so I can get an idea of what to price to price my crochet things. But if you are going to post a public video, expect people to say rude things. There are always going to be nay sayers, and that is good, who wants every one to agree on everything? But deleting peopleâs comments is stupid, Iâm sorry, but it is. They have the right to comment on your video however they want. Itâs called free speech, and I canât believe our generation are being taught that saying what you think is bad
Trust me I expect the rude comments and have gotten my fair share of them in my time making videos. And yes people have the right to their own opinion. However, just because they have an opinion that does not mean they have to share it. Just like if youâre having a conversation with someone in person and they all of a sudden called you ugly, you arenât going to like that, but that may be their opinion. And just because they have that opinion it doesnât mean they need to share that, please itâs a rude thing to say. I specifically make that disclaimer in any video where Iâm sharing prices because the last thing I want is for another business owner to be reading through my comments and to see a comment saying my prices are bad and now they think their prices are bad too. Because thereâs no such thing as a right or wrong price! Everyone crochets at different speeds, pays different amounts for materials, lives different places, etc etc. So yes, everyone can have an opinion Iâm just asking that everyone be nice when sharing theirs, and if they arenât I wonât hesitate to delete comments because I donât have my comment section to become a negative space for anyone watching my videos
@@katiebeingcreative I agree that people donât need to share their rude comments, but if they want to I believe it is their right to. Freedom is being taken away slowly but surely in this country, and I would hope you arenât wanting to contribute to that. Like how Elon Musk bought Twitter and has finally brought a free speech platform back into existence; Iâd hope you would want the same. But deleting peopleâs comment tells me otherwise. And although I love your videos, I donât want to support anyone who is contributing (even in a small) way to everything that is bringing our country downhill
Well then please donât support me if thatâs what you believe Iâm doing. This doesnât need to get political. This is just crochet. I think I explained myself thoroughly and I have the right to control comments that are on my own videos. Again, it is not to limit anyoneâs freedom of speech but it is to create a safe and positive environment on my channel
@@katiebeingcreative you made it political by limiting what people can say. Saying you are creating a âsafe placeâ Is just lying to yourself to justify limiting what should be a free speech platform. They shouldnât even have the capability on CZcams to delete peopleâs comments. And itâs not just crochet, you are influencing anyone watching your videos, and thatâs why itâs frustrating to me. Iâve seen people limiting comments more and more. So I had to say something, itâs not against you in particular, and Iâd hope you would consider that maybe itâs not right to limit peopleâs âspeechâ on a public platform
Youâre obviously not understanding where Iâm coming from, so please letâs just end this here. You can choose not to support me if thatâs what you want to do. But thereâs no reason for both of us being upset over this so letâs just end this now
