    If you put some.short metal.rods at the bottom of the shower curtain it would still allow you to roll up the material but it would help it hang straight.

      I agree. We thought about it after our Alaska trip but never got back to adding them.

    Your final product is just great. Really functional, and looks good too.
    Have been looking for a way to add an exterior privacy cubical, now that public restrooms are so questionable. Between you and Shawnee Hills Workshop, this problem is looking more solvable at a reasonable price. Thanks for posting.

    Nice job...
    I've seen both videos using the gun case and fold out frame , which has given me guidance on my shower build...
    I'm using the gun case and drop down curtain/tent aswell but going with a tubular slide out rail setup mounted under my roof rack...
    Thanks 😎👍

    A think dowel or anything straight on each side at the bottom will keep it nice and square and less able to blow around at the base.

    This is fantastic and exactly what I'm looking for. Planning to use this inside my Camper Van, with the components stored inside a small upper cabinet! Where did you get that shower head holder? It clips perfectly on the rails!

      Awesome. The shower head and holder came with the propane hot water on demand system. Company ecotemp.

    Hi, great idea & video. Question: is the structure a square or did you have to go with a trapeze shape to make the crossbar fold back on itself? Are the two arms rage same length?

    • @TheSASurvival
      @TheSASurvival  Před rokem +1

      It is just off of a square, the arms that attach to the trailer all the same size and the one in front is slightly longer, this just gives us lots of room to be able to have a shower without being entangled with them tarp, I cut the U bracket in a shape that it enables it to push over itself to be folded. It’s kind of hard to explain and it doesn’t show very well in the video but that’s what creates that shape when you push it to one side, push one of the arms inwards and then bring the other side back over itself. I hope that makes sense.

      Thank you so much. I’ve really been struggling to get the arms to fold back onto themselves, as the crossbar seems to want to push back when at the near 180 degrees angle & before the arms can turn back onto themselves. Trial & error is the process it seems!

    What exactly is it that you used to hold each end of the aluminum bar together? I see it allows it to fold in and out but what is the piece that you drilled through the aluminum bar

    • @TheSASurvival
      @TheSASurvival  Před 2 lety

      I cut a piece out of the aluminum so it could fold but then had it secured to each other by a nylock nut and bolt
