Ohmigosh....Elle! I did it. I bought the Laura Geller weekender pallettes (very simple) and am wearing eyeshadow! I haven't worn eyeshadow in probably 30 years (I am 54). I used the "Saturday" pallette (it seemed appropriate..lol) and followed your instructions. IF I do say so myself - it looks pretty good. I forgot how much it makes my eyes pop. I have deep steel bblue eyes. They are small but I took the shadow crease out to the end of my eyebrows, blended and highlighted the inner eye....thank you, thank you, thank you!! I am lucky to have a wonderful man who loves me - make-up or no make-up - but to quote, "i feel pretty" . I hope you understand what a good teacher you are - it takes real ability to explain it all so well.

This series has been excellent, Elle, and so helpful! I've always loved makeup, but when I was younger, it was easy: a handful of products, 5 minutes, and done! Now that I'm in my 50s, I find that I need more involved techniques, better quality products, more thoughtful consideration of color and placement...so YT and people like you have been heaven-sent. Thank you for sharing your expertise with all of us. I really don't mind or hate aging (so many people don't get the luxury to live long at all!) but it has certainly come with challenges and changes one has to learn to adapt to. Generous people like you have made that "adapting" feel like a time for exploration and new discoveries and not like a curse.

Thanks so much. I had many 'a-ha!' moments throughout your video. I have small almond-shaped eyes, slightly hooded and a lot of real estate between my lid and brows. I'm in my mid-fourties and thought I just sucked at putting on eyeshadow for d.e.c.a.d.e.s. This last month I've been playing with shadow application and learned the hard way some of your tips. My fav lazy-girl go-to technique is to dab my blush brush on my closed eyes, focusing on the outer 2/3rds. (Love my pink and peach blushes on my eyes and it ties my face together.) Your video helped me understand that this makes use of the 'real estate' as well as making my eyes appear bigger and more open. I'm looking forward to playing with eye makeup again in the morning using this tutorial, if I can wait that long... ❤

You're such a sweetheart, Elle. I'm into the dramatic look myself. I have small dark eyes, so they look even smaller, but with same basic application, they appear mid size. I do use Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour about 2/3rds of my lid however, following with a gold shadow, which really pops for me.

Great video of useful tips. I recreated the look and loved it. I have the eyeliners you used but not the palette. I used ABH Modern Renaissance and it worked perfectly. I also brightened my inner corner. Loved it. Thank you.

Hi Elle, I think this has been my favorite of the one pallet four looks. You have done an amazing job with creating beautiful looks and oh my goodness the things that I have learned! I have taken notes, I have saved the videos and I have been practicing! I love this look! I too love to wear pinks, I also enjoy wearing purples. I guess maybe I'm giving my age away LOL. Those were my shades! I was never one for blue eyeshadow. Thank you for helping me to be able to apply everything so maybe I won't be so self-conscious about my lifelong issues with my eye shape and the difference in my eyes. Thank you Elle! These things are so much fun, but I know you work very hard on them. These tips and these looks that you create really do help us to feel a bit better about things we are so insecure about. I Love everything you do! I only discovered you this evening while I was supposed to be researching needle sizes for my sewing machine!
