- The GAC Emkoo is a compact crossover, about the size of a Ford Territory. With a price tag that ranges between 1,298,000 and 1,498,000 it also directly challenges the Ford Territory in terms of pricing here in the Philippines. Impressive review. Really love the demonstration of the adaptive cruise / adas systems. I think youre the only one who does it. This makes it really above and beyond the others who just reads the spec sheet.
As for the car, im hoping that the next wave of chinese cars would be ev cars. The ice suv / crossover market is getting saturated to the point that it would need a thorough review like this one to differentiate it from others.

Many local reviewers (and car owners) don't care about the tech and safety features. Good thing jaywalkur is consistent on this. ADAS should be standard nowadays and not an optional feature.

Nice review sir. Buti nireview nyo ung adas ng emkoo para maging aware na yung mga tao sa kayang gawin ng adas. Para dun sa ibang nag iisip bumili ng emkoo vs next gen ford territory titanium x , mas mganda adas nito kesa sa next gen ford territory titanium x ko. Minsan bumibitaw sa sharp curve ung lane keep assist ng next gen ftx tapos kakahilo ung lane keep assist nya unlike this one. Ganda nung matagal nka engage adaptive cruise ng emkoo unlike sa 3 seconds disengage ng ftx. Slight mas malakas din ftx sa gas average @12km/l. Dun sa mga bibili ng emkoo over ftx dahil sa mas mgndang adas at itsura. go! 😊
wow, got the GL Trim of Emkoo. had a great choice then. my brother has the titanium variant, compared the ride medyo stiff side emkoo vs territory. but overall it was nice having the emkoo especially daily driven on long rides! ADAS is superb

@jaywalkur, sir alex you said 9 km per liter, my emkoo only gets 6-7 km/L, maybe I just drive in bad traffic. But i do notice over time the DCT becomes smoother and less aggressive( wanting to creep aggressively). Now seems to know how to go to lower gear. Yeah at first the DCT felt a little aggressive and rough bec it always at wrong gear at times. Over time it seems to adapt. You mention you dont seem no notice lag bec you gotten used to it. I think its the car, adjusting. Specially pag bago pa. Over all performance comfort is there, so i kinda accepted it, if gas mileage isnt so great. Hopefully gets better.
Hope you could make a review on DongFeng Aeolus Mage and Dongfeng Aelus Huge Hybrid. Also for the Emkoo Hybrid.

Is there a DRL for GL vs GE? Any major differencr
DRLs for GE are minimal (only the vertical LED that subs as turning signal), GE also has minimal ambient light inside, 4 speakers instead of 6 in the GL, rearview camera vs the 360 surround view of the GL, 18" rim vs 19" in the GL, no power tailgate and no glassroof.
The same lang din po experience ninyo for the adas of empow and emkoom?
I think the ADAS of the Emkoo is a bit better tuned although the ADAS of the Empow isn't bad at all

Isn't the GL price of P1.498m a bit pricey considering that its sibling the top spec Emzoom is priced only @P1.198m with just a little less space, same engine and also gets ADAS?
The price of the GL is a bit on the steep side that's why I said that the base model GE, at 1,298,000 is the sweet spot in the lineup. The Emzoom has very similar features and the same engine but it is also significantly smaller.
The Emzoom is much much smaller, with less advanced rear suspension (torsion beam), did I mention it’s much smaller?
@@jaywalkur I watched the review of Autoindustriya for both cars and it looked like that the advantage of Emkoo in terms of space is on the cargo side but very minimal on the passenger side. The width of the car is almost identical. The rear passenger space is almost identical when Vince tried both cars. Or maybe I am wrong as I haven't sat on both
@Kenshinrss im driving the emzoom right now and the cabin is noticeably smaller. Although it's not really cramped inside. Cargo space is significantly smaller though on the emzoo.
