It strikes me now how parallel Bobby and Kathryn's lives are to the real Peter and Alice - that is, Alice Liddell and Peter Davies, the real-life children who inspired the characters. Like the real Alice, Kathryn moved on but was happy to be remembered, but like the real Peter, Bobby's life ended in tragedy.

Kathryn Beaumont is absolutely adorable as Alice! I would love to see more live action footage of her acting out the role. And I wish we could have gotten a live-action/animated hybrid as was planned at one point of live-action Alice interacting with animated Wonderland characters. That would have been amazing!
Sometimes I wonder, if Walt had really gotten into live-action films at that time, might Kathryn have been given a deal like Hayley Mills got in the early 60’s. I could imagine Kathryn being in a number of live-action films.
