      @elidrissilahcen5897 Před 3 lety +3

      Victoria Rodriguez no need to be rude. There is not a universal “technique”. The first step is the prononciation, watch videos and and practicing pronouncing each letter ( I usually don’t practice prononciation as Arabic has a wide range of phonetics which makes it easier to grasp new sounds at first try). Next would be the vocabulary, I always rely on newspapers for new vocabulary and memorize each word by heart, others may have different methods. Third is grammar which I started with before jumping to vocabulary when I started learning German ( which is unusual for some), that way I know the differences and similaires of the language to the languages I speak. French is similar to Spanish in terms of sentence construction, but more emphasized on details ( genders, number, subordination...), English is similar to German in term of vocabulary, the grammar is way more complex and surpasses French in terms of cases and exceptions but it has logic to it. So what I want to say, choose a language based on the ones you speak already ( indogermanic, Romance languages...), try to understand the structure of the language rather than relying on direct translations ( which won’t be correct most of the time) and practice using basic sentences, an online translator and a dictionary. Last is your motivation, no matter how frustrating it gets, don’t give up and juste take a break, let your mind rest and compile whatever you have learned already, get back to learning only when you’re feeling relax and able to receive new imput. I hope I answered your question. Good luck!

    this was very inspirational! i grew up in a bilingual household and french was my first language, but after my parents separated and i lived in america, i lost the need to speak french so i lost my ability to be fluent.
    i recently enthusiastically picked up the desire to learn korean, and that’s been SO fun and rewarding, and i think that once i have a better handle on that i’ll work towards fluency in french alongside korean!
    my goal is to be fluent in korean and french by the time my 20th birthday rolls around in july 2021, so wish me luck 🤞🏻 merci ikenna!

      How the F do you just forget your native language? I mean you don’t mean completely right? I’m sure you can understand more than you can speak I’m thinking.

      No real technique as of yet. At the moment I've just been using an app called Memrise to learn words and phrases. It's quite a nice app to use. Been on a social app called Tandem (which is for language learning) and have tried to converse a little bit and learn from the people I meet there. It's been very slow goings. How's your process been like?

    Bravo pour ta progression ! je sais que c'est difficile d'apprendre le français ! I'm french and english was easy to learn for me, since the beginning, but for example, when my grandma came in France, even she studied french at school, she was not good, and it was very difficult for her, but just before I was born, she became fluent in french and she even took the french accent ! Now, she says some words that I don't even know (bc they're difficult) !
    J'encourage toute ceux qui veulent apprendre une langue, à faire comme toi ! (même moi pour les futures langues que j'apprendrais) ! c'est vraiment génial ! et avec ton livre tu vas en aider plus d'un !
