Same, as i am watching this I was like. This feels like a legit lesson that I am taking right now this is amazing.
Wow. Roger's story truly shows what a singular focus and complete MASTERY of one subject can accomplish.
tyler! he literally sounds just like you at 06:07! hilarious! love u bro
WTF :D Just sounded like him :D
Primitive Spongebob yo I was just listening like "was that Owen?"
Dude.... that freaked me the fuck out watching him do that. I guess one major advantage to being a professional voice coach is the ability to mimic your clients voices.... so cool!
hahaha omfg! i can't stop rewatching it
OMFG that was so funny and also impresssive. Ah that piano looks amazing.
i've been thinking a voice coaching for owen would be very helpful and necessary for a long time. happy to see him taking a lesson. great present. spread the love - spongebob
3 minutes in and its the best vid I've ever seen.
Rogers impression of Owen is hilarious and so spot on. Great content.
Its nice to see the script flipped and the guru becomes the student. xD always remain teachable

You just killed Jeffye´s new program!
Mitchel Hernández I'm sure there's way more to learn
Fuck 😂😂
much of what this guy is saying is bro science tho, so i wouldn't say he killed his program : P
lol id still take lessons from roger love rather than jeffy when it comes to voice, you do know that roger love has helped famous artists / singers around the world right? lol
Mitchel Hernández Why? What does jeffy say in his program?
Been watching rsd forever, this is definitely a new insight, "a new way of watching rsd" so to speak.
My voice is a lot like Owen's, this is a lot of value for me thank god for this video.
You can tell Roger is the real deal. Love seeing Tyler interact in this kind of way in the video. Feels very podcast-like.
This is insane jist what i needed !
In the presence of greatness! Wow!
This makes me want to get coaching for something haha
this man is awesome , great vibing with owen
great post, thanks!
this is pretty eye opening
this is GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great vid. Thanks for uploading (:
So much value out of one Video! Thanks everybody
This really hit home for me, especially since I'm introverted.
This is life changing , maybe the voice is something related to the bible when they say first there was the "word of god" and we are "made in his image". What if that concept really means we can vibrate/speak/resonate influnce on our reality. And were all little gods of our reality who can speak/vibrate our word or our will into exsistance. Voice and sounds may be the key to advanced ways of living in ballance maybe one day?
Roger is amazing!
Amazing!
Such a grat education right here Thanks Owen for sharing this
this is amazing
That imitation hahaha, spot on!
06:06
OH MY FUCKING GOD
THAT WAS REALLY ON POINT
BEST IMPRESSION EVER
Great to see those two together ! I learned to sing with roger exercise too, and pick up with owen XD
Epic this was so funny & awesome!
Amazing video! Owen did a good job!
INSANE CONTENT! Thanks!
I'll tell u what. This is very good for Owen. I don't think he needs it but others do because I noticed on Khan Academy that one problem is Sal's voice is so good, that it is hard for other teachers to compete and it's Khan's voice that really comes thru
Great video really got a lot out of this
Amazing Person!!!!
Damn owen is so awesome
Tyler: -_-
Papa: :D
You guys are great. You can see how professional Roger is. I Don't think I've ever heard of him prior to this. I feel very ignorant for that. You guys are fun to watch, as you listen.
Yeah I'm definitely using this turkey gravy thing
keep these up Owen. A day in the life with Owen is great to connect with your audience more. :) bring us into your world man!
Nick this video is phenomenal! this type of content is value! keep up the approach you are doing with the company. Smart move to incorporate this while making it more personal to owen. captivating.
Great comment. Totally agree with you, great stuff.
This guy is animated in a high level
Wow this video is hella helpful
Good video!
Within a split second of entering his room I was like DAMN that is some high-end equipment. Recognized Avalon right off the bat.
cheers boys
Very entertaining! Lol great lesson
Dude i was like it's such a long vid... so I added it to watch later but I couldn't stop watching... something must be right about what he's teaching xD
I wrote this somewhere else but then stupidly deleted it..weird inner struggles >.>
But someone mentioned how he had trouble transitioning between octaves, and what I essentially said is this;
I stress diaphragmatic breathing (breating from the deh belly) soo much because it's something that permeates in ALL areas of your life. It's notably visible in voice, especially singing. This person was a singer so that's kinda what I was focusing on.
But essentially, the gist is to think of it as breathing by using the stomach as a breathing apparatus; when you're having an inbreath/inhaling air, you push your belly out. When you're having an outbreath/pushing dead air out, you suck your belly in.
A check to know if you're doing this well is; if your shoulders are rising up-and-down, what some of deh guys in green chuckingly, in teasing, refer by "bobbing" up and down, you're doing it wrong. NO OTHER PART OF YOUR BODY BUT your belly should be moving as you breathing. Also, if, upon implementing this at first, you experience this sensation of chocking, or being asphyxiated, you're doing it right! Don't be alarmed, that is simply the feeling/sensation of your ENTIRE BODY BREATHING, most notably your intestines (has its the organs that oft get left behind, and die slowly), both intestines I tell you, working in unison and receiving 100% of the air and oxygen that they have the volume and capacity of taking in.
In other words, because of a society that no longer focuses on higher living principles and $wagg modes of efficient operation (on all levels), we've forgotten how to do the most basic, YET MOST IMPORTANT, things like breathing, right. Thus, we're, LITERALLY, working at like 1%, of our actual Infinite Potential. Don't want to get into a tangent, but my point, in this case, was that 99% of our body is not receiving air and oxygen, is not breathing/contributing to the "Breathing As One" function that all parts of the body do, and thus, consequently, dying, in one way or the other. LITERALLY, some of the weirddd lung, liver, cancer, or other diseases we are plagued with nowadays are due to oxygen deprivation.
So, if you feel this sensation of asphyxiation or of choking, you're breathing right, you're successfully implementing diaphragmatic breathing perfectly. And if the sensation is too much to bare, all you need to do is force out a HUGE laugh, and it'll go away in no time. Again, when the intestines are breathing, the game changes for your body completely. Recall Alex's idea of "having the lowest center of gravity possible". But I digress.
Something else I wanted to mention is how effortless it makes life; public speaking in a way that you're clearly heard, voice-energy modulation through different social situations.
When you're breathing from the diaphraghm, what you're essentially doing is a creating a scenario where you're able to ride on the momentum and energy created by the first sound, by the first in-breath, by the first "DOooo".
Think of it like this; in an environment devoid of friction or resistance, a vibration (created from the first Dooo uttered) is free to LITERALLY BOUNCE back-and-forth across the body, permeating through ALL parts of the body. Thus, it's no longer this game of "how hard can I scream" (which is the cause of any "hoarse throat" or other ailments where it feels like you've strained your physical instrument)/"how can I increase the magnitude of my voice's energy".
Rather, it's more a game of playing with air. Think of air like, the silly putty or clay to an artist. And how much volume (square foot per PHYSICAL area) that creation is going to take will DIRECTLY dictate how much silly putty or clay is needed. And the same with singing.
The octave and tone you're currently at will DIRECTLY dictate how much air you need to bring into the system to go to a higher tone or octave/vibrate at a higher frequency, or go to a lower tone or octave/vibrate at a lower frequency. And it's LITERALLY all just a game of sucking in or pushing out deh belly/breathing in or pushing out air USING THE ENTIRE BODY AS A VESSEL (because of the use of the diaphragm, because you're BEING, FROM THE CORE ;)) and manipulating how much air is being allowed into the system.
And the BEST PART, like your 6 steps to Pickup, is it's ALL. MOMENTUM-ORIENTED=0 ENERGY BEING USED....You're LITERALLY RIDING AN ENERGY WAVE, not to sound sooo fucking cheesy lololololol
The key is to just remember the diaphragm. It'll help you EXACTLY pinpoint what it feels like to "ease" those words, and thus create/output, 100% OF THE TIME, that harmonious property you experience when someone "speaks well", as opposed to FORCING or PUSHING out those words through brute force. And the best part is being close to that being engaged THROUGH THAT diaphragm, will automatically handle figuring out just how much air you need to do anything optimally :)
What's interesting to note is as you read the words mentioned above, you can actually multidimensionally feel the difference in BEING, when you're easing out air vs when you're pushing out air.
Hope this makes sense!
Oh, here's a visual representation if it helps!

$waggouttt ;)
The information here is great. For what is here. Most of the vital info is left out. Which is understandable, as Roger needs to get paid just like everyone else. Which is why I won't elaborate. Still what is here is great.
Damn he sounded exactly like Owen when he showed him how he speaks oO
Based on what I see here, Roger is a phenomenal teacher.
YESSS
What makes Owen a good teacher you may ask? He's a good student.
dope
I love Owen
Holy fuck this guy does an amazing Owen impression hahahah
Two of my teachers, cool!

Fuck. This Roger Love guy is a boss. It took me until 30 minutes in to realize the that this dude is a master
who else realised how many times he changed his voice while explaining to owen and nick?
Lerning is a lifelong process ! Well done !
Holy fuck, he sounded juss like Tyler.. fuckin wizard!! Haha
hello... this is owen from sosial dynamics!!!.... and to day we are gonna talk about ....
Funny how he said you were a steam roller...reminds me of the time you were telling Neil Strauss how you just plough through 'set' resistance...
So funny when he impersonates Owen xD
Tyler should do some cold approaches with this guy and his animated voices.. would be interesting to see!! Lol
the bio😂
BZ hahahaha not what I would have gone with but no shit
19:21 Best
6:07 Hahahaha! - totally Tyler!
I love owen so much
Who was Roger Loves voice teacher he mentioned?
Really wonder what Owen is taking to remain so uber focused.
Wout Eeckhout
Homeboys on the street are calling it " presence" . Owen takes that shit to the vein.
Wout Eeckhout meditation
reishi mushrooms and being present
Basically, I think he's just a great learner. When someone with more experience is teaching him, he gets out of their way, lets them do the talking and absorbs as much info as possible. Very smart thing to do.
an intelligent leader must know how to be an intelligent follower as well and vice versa
owen loves those jeans
speaking of such look at the buddhist monks they make certain sounds, seems they have known it for a while
pitch master......
What Roger says is so true! I like watching Tyler but I always thought his voice is so grating and hard to listen to.
Wow Nick looks like a kid in front of Santa Claus XD
They just met? Tyler's referred to Roger love as his vocal coach in the past.
This video is from the distant past -Tyler
I love how he takes off Owens voice. Classic..
