Jen, I had a good giggle over your tea recipe. As a Midwife/Nurse I am happy just to get a cup of tea and time to drink it. I always say “white tea please” I do not fuss over how it is made. However, when making for myself that is a different story. Australia 🇦🇺

That looks like the perfect embarkation day to me! I couldn't agree more with you on the importance of tea preparation - we just spent 2 weeks in the UK, where they really know how to make tea, and on our return stayed at an American hotel where their idea of tea was a Lipton tea bag in lukewarm water! 😜

Also, I put a thin magnet on one of my old Disney Rewards cards and use that as my backup card for the stateroom lights and I just stick that card on the back of the door so its convenient!

Loved your private sail away party.! I hope to reach a stage where I’ve sailed often enough to not feel like I’m missing out by skipping it.
The first time I skipped it I felt that just a smidge but honestly the peace of just sailing away sipping our wine was . . . awfully nice. I feel Mickey and Minnie understand?
I'm definitely one that unpacks. After Christmas, I traveled with friends and had to stay in 1 hotel room. Oh how I hated living out of my suitcase!

Just found your video. I was looking for recent Dream videos. I will be on the Dream this November NYC to Bermuda, Tortolla and disembarking in San Juan. I have not been on the Dream since 2014. I love your take on things. I too do not do the Sail Away anymore. I am definitely stoping by Pink for that cocktail. You two look like you had a blast! 👍🏻🚢💫✨

I was on the Wonder a couple weeks ago and missed the sail a wave party, I had brought my Mickey gloves...for nothing. I was putting magnets on my door. I went back in my room and saw we were moving.
I like to completely un pack everything and make myself at home.
Strange they don’t do the muster drill on the app like most cruises do now…you just go and zap your muster station log in after completing the app muster section..
I so want to cruise Disney. Your view before you left port and leaving port was pretty cool….
I’m a tea snob ( as my daughter calls it) I have to have my tea done correctly!!
Shame you didn’t have connecting cabin…your friend could of let you in…

I loved this video! After just getting off the Wish, I miss the older ships so much--especially the adults-only areas. And Cove Cafe on the Fantasy/Dream is SO much better than on the Wish! Did Cove Cafe still have the case with the little free snacks? I really missed them on the Wish. Sometimes you just need a little something with your coffee.

We go on the Dream for the first time in about 30 days! I can’t find pricing for the length of stay pass for the Rainforest Room. Do you mind sharing? We have a couple’s hideaway massage already booked and I can’t wait!
We paid $174 with tax and tip and the scrubs (which are optional). That was for a 5 night sailing and I think the price depends on the length of the cruise? Hope that. helps!

Is Cove Cafe different on the Dream than the Fantasy?
They are sister ships so I’m guessing no? But I’ve never been on the fantasy so not sure!
Talk to me about carrying your luggage onto the ship. You just have to hang onto it until you can get into the room? If you have an early-ish boarding time, can you get into the rooms early-ish?
They generally have the rooms ready by 2pm sometimes earlier and yes you’ll need to carry your bags with you until then. The porters at the curb take any bigger bags you have and they’ll deliver those to your stateroom.
@@JenLefforge Thank you! We went on our first cruise last fall. Did carry on only, but left the bags with the porters. Our boarding time was like 1:30pm, so we probably could have just kept our bags if I’d realized that was an option. I’ll keep it in mine for next time!

Lucky you can have your own cabin. I thought you’d room with your friend and save money. Disney cruises are so expensive. I hate the double passenger charge.
We love each other but we both also like and need our space! I got a very good deal on this cruise so it worked.

Was your room ready at your arrival time?
Rooms are usually ready sometime between 1:30 and 2 so no it wasn’t
Two questions....can you buy the Rainforest Room length of stay pass before the cruise? AND, just curious, was anyone still wearing a mask anywhere? I think someone here would have concern about peopling....I need to gather all the informations because I'm really trying here...LOL
There were a few people wearing masks for sure! And nope, you can only get the length of stay pass once you're on board the ship. Great questions!
I recently sailed on the Magic. Some people were wearing a mask, but not many. Most sailings have a Facebook group and afterwards some people were posting that they came home with covid. I managed to avoid it and didn't mask. OTOH, cruising has always been a situation where you're likely to come with some bug or other: cold, flu, norovirus, etc.
I was on the Wonder two weeks ago out of San Diego, and I’d say like 10-15% of people were masked in general areas of the ship. More masked in the theaters
Did you buy the rainforest pass at the time you did the tour? Or did you go much earlier? How quick does that sell out?
@@lisamccartin2940 Great question: I bought it during the tour and I think they do frequently sell out so if you want the length of stay pass, buy it as soon as you get on the ship (they aren't available to purchase in advance)
I am surprised you go on disney cruises, you seem to like cruising more than you like Disney.
Luckily we don’t have to choose!
