I took a pic across the bay 4 - 5 miles away on my 14 ultra and you could make out the curtains in a hotel window, zoom is incredible

The iphone pro is so much more class, like comparing a Mercedes with a Toyota... The phones are in Sweden at the same price, so it's no-brainer which phone to buy. Also this video was prejudice towards the Xiaomi, which becomes obvious when looking at the photos.
Yaa, this was more of a promotion than an actual comparison.
Have you tried out the variable aperture? I'm quite excited for what that means for video smoothness, but I haven't really seen it tested yet. Can you use it to keep the shutter speed at 1/120s in 60 fps video?

I pre-ordered 14 Ultra, upgrading from 13 Ultra. Maybe differences are small, but I wanted to get global version (14 Ultra) instead of chinese rom (13 Ultra). 13 Ultra wasn't available where I live, so I had to import it.

It's going by himself use on video 4k with charger in and with sim tray out 20-30 minutes few days and is fine after I done it on mine if you want to overheat more run some geekbench as well

The Xiaomi 14 ultra I think has better rear cameras overall. The portrait photos are a weakness though imo. There's a bit too much beauty effect on the portraits compared to the iPhone and especially compared to other Chinese flagships like the Oppo Find x7 ultra

Toll gemacht. Meiner subjektiven Meinung und Beobachtung nach, gewinnt das iPhone in Video und Porträts und dem 48 Mp ProRaw Modus, alles andere ist Xiaomi besser ❤Xiaomi hat auch extra DC DIMMING. iPhone liegt bei 480Hz.
I'm on the 13 ultra with the photography kit and it still puts the iphone to shame.
Xiaomi looks nice, just shame it overexpose every portrait, this disqualify it as a photo phone for me.

Xiaomi is better, but it’s honestly not that far ahead. It’s mainly its telephoto performance that crushes the iPhone. Everything else comes down to preference imo
It seems like the dynamic range is better on iPhone.. a lot of blown out parts in the Xiaomi

Does iPhone purposefully put sharpness/grain/noise in their picture? This results to sharper uploads due to the platform compression alg detecting that there's less need to compress the picture since so much was happening in it. Same with YT.
Don't like the darker shadows or contrast of the Xiaomi. I know it's preference but like the iphone more

There's an ongoing fogging issue with the 14, may I ask if you ever encountered this issue with the ultra?
Not yet. Even in this super hot weather in Malaysia, I didn’t notice any fog
I think the fogging would only happen in colder weather, especially going from a warm indoor environment to a cold outdoor one. Have heard it's an issue on the Xiaomi 14 but haven't seen if this happens on the ultra model

Xiaomi still blowing out highlights which makes its night time video and photos hardware advantage diminish. This is software so hopefully they will fix, but I wouldn’t guarantee based on the past.
The iPhone did well being last year’s second-best camera phone so I expect the iPhone 16PM to compete well with the best of Xiaomi 2024.
Of course, most of us would be happy with either of these and what will be far more important are the OS and regional support. The Xiaomi for example does not sell in the US and in Europe is very expensive; £300 more than the base iPhone 15Pro before discounts on the iPhone.
By then,..xiaomi will get a better update to smash the 16promax. Thanks for it 1" sensor

Dynamic range is superior, and sharpness for portrait is better.
Stop these ridiculous comparisons, iPHONES still produce the better quality pictures. Colors are subjective so no picture can be distinguished as PERFECT
