I live in the suburbs of Montreal and I often have my car wash during winter time even if its -20 ! They I'm crazy but i like a clean car....my Volvo is a white Xc70 2004 super clean. Keep up the good work your videos are perfect !

Enjoying your stuff brother.....Just read that using the sprays on windows for example, can leave a film/sheen after cleaning....Advised to spray the cleaner directly onto the cloth, then apply to windows etc. Guess they are talking of over application....have tried this method, seem to get more control of the areas I am cleaning....B T W....liked your idea of the rubber strip on the tailgate to fend off water penetration.....I have an 04 XC70, going to check if it has that rubber strip...if not...going to follow your lead....Thanks for these videos...

Would suggest you using your own washing glove instead resorting to that in-house broom, it has abundance of sand, filth in it... I'm aware that it acts as foam dispenser in this case, since maybe it's better to arrive with own bucket+shampoo+glove set... Trust me, these car wash brushes do more of harm than good lol

Your car looks fantastic. Really nice video breaking down each part of the process. Shame you had someone behind you when leaving Blondies. The steam made it look super dramatic. Next time maybe bring your camera down a touch so it's on axis with the headlights - as the car passes you get 2 very nice flashes as it goes past.

Thankfully you've no Fibromyalgia/Arthritis! Unfortunately I do at a young age and I couldn't give it the same elbow grease as you Uri, I wish I could like I used to. Luckily I have a great fully manned car wash that won't scratch your car and do a really good job.
I'm in Europe and get mine in 2-3 days which is great, but I'm baffled why a steering wheel (even if it's a fancy Volvo one), costs £380 or $628 CAD. It just doesn't make sense, they're made in either Portugal or Spain all EU countries with a big $$$ Sting! A wooden central console I'm told is $1332 CAD or £800. I can't see how that's possible for ?graphite wooden moulded plastic.

Even put it in the middle of the road? 😱 I do the same with my XC70 D5 at times but I have the option so select "dry only" at the carwash. You have R design caps, ever thought about R design brake/accel? Also nice. Thx for the vid. Like how you spray the brush before using. Considered buying a microfiber wash cloth and shampooo?
Was a bit of camera work, yes. I know about R Design pedals. Maybe will get it. Summer time I wash only at home and I do have microfibre cloth and shampoo.
Did you say that if it's busy they won't let you dry the car indoors. You don't want to have to dry the car off outside if it's freezing out. I pay 15 dollars for a regular wash where they wash it for me in NY.
@@volvosweden take with u a wash mit and bucket with warm water and some quality car soap and be ready with it when you wash your car, it isnt so hard :)

It's just me but I will never let anyone wash my Volvo :)
Leave the bay but if they let you dry the car while indoors is ok.

What do you use these days for the black cladding?
Autoglym number and trim gel. Or Meguiars vinyl and rubber conditioner
u dont use the brushes on your car, cause it is full of debri and small stones that can cause scratches on your paint so dont use it.
That is why I rinse it as much as I can. There is no other way to wash the car in winter here which is 5 months long
