- You know that power move where someone you’ve already met introduces themselves again like they have no idea who you are? Russell Westbrook basically did that to Reggie Jackson, but times 1,000.
Reggie Jackson was Russell Westbrook’s back up for 3.5 years. Yet, a little over half a year after they parted ways, Westbrook was asked about Jackson and simply responded, “Who?”
I can think of no colder response.
Now, that’s not to say Reggie Jackson was totally innocent in this beef. While teammates, he found ways to prod Westbrook. As opponents, he prodded even harder in the form of gratuitous celebrating.
The beef between Russell Westbrook and Reggie Jackson stemmed from the classic friction between a starter and his back up-- only it escalated quickly because both players have a unique variety of aggressive confidence.

This is my favorite beef because I feel like I was in it. You missed an important day 1/5/2015. I only remember because I recorded it at the game. But the Thunder got stomped by the Warriors. And although the Warriors were in control the whole game, and KD finished with 14pts the heat kept being directed to Reggie. I was about 20 rows up with perfect view to the Warrior bench. At some point Reggie got pissed and started literally arguing with KD at a timeout. The get back on the court and Warriors are shooting free throws they’re stilling back and forth. And then Reggie was subs and started with other guys on the team. I remember saying he’s gonna be gone then I looked at my phone and saw Waiters was traded to the Thunder. Idk if Waiters deal went through before the game and Reggie was asking out because of it or if them getting stomped was the final straw and the Thunder accepted that night. But that was wild one!

I’d love to see motorsport and (more) soccer content, but I think they might need some writers and personalities that are invested in those sports. The few soccer videos haven’t had nearly the same passion behind them as something like this video, and I wouldn’t want motorsport vids to get produced in a similar way. I’d be all for Nico vs. Lewis or Materazzi/Zidane for beef history, rewinders, or whatever- but it’s gotta have the same passion as their videos for “traditional American” sports. Hell, F1 is basically a sport of teams figuring out how to legally break rules and then have rules specifically patched in to counter team cleverness- I’m sure there’s a ton of content just in that to explore.

Reggie was okay with Detroit but he's doing really well for the Clips rn. I remember back when he was the backup for Westbrook, I had no idea they actually had any beef.
