- Carp fishing on the rivers is something that I do every year to break away from the crowds and fish for the unknown. But in this case, I knew that there was a very special fish that lived in this built up area of London and I needed to go and check out the stretch before I started to introduce bait and fish it properly. It's not often you can say you caught the biggun on a reccy that's for sure, I hope you all enjoy it and you get some inspiration to go and check out your local rivers. Thanks for watching.

Brilliant capture. This will ruffle a few feathers. All the usual suspects been trying to keep this stretch secret for years. It is one of London's worse kept secrets though so I wouldn't worry. The most notable capture of this fish was Billy's a few years ago, witnessed the capture. Truely stunning fish. Was caught twice that I know of last season further down river. These fish have been hammered so much but only a handful know what they are doing.
You summed it up. Anglers there bivvy'd up fishing on the deck while all the fish are on top. Keep mobile mate and very best of luck. There is one secret left to be unlocked there which nobody seems to be able to catch. I guess you are done with it there now though. It's gonna see a fair few others there now after this. Wow, I hadn’t realised that when they drained redmire pool a few years ago, that the fish had been transferred to a river in London . What an amazing carp and hats off to the friend of your dreams going in for you.
Maybe this reply put over 400 in the Tottenham stretch 30 years ago and some caught many years ago at a few pounds and then alf and others caught at 30lbs 👍

Why is June 16th so special?
It's the opening day of the river season. The rivers close to coarse fishing in march for the fish to spawn in peace.
