I had this big ass metal belt and long story short, got into a fight at lunch in front of everyone and the dude punched directly in the center of my belt and busted up his hand. Everybody thought I did some kind of martial arts trick to stop him. I was the hero that day

I loved this video, really reminded me of my times in middle school during the early 2010s! I have a similar story, but instead of being protag-kun, I was Sakura on the sidelines worried about my friend and needed explaining on what was happening.

Middle and high school kids just have a penchant for ridiculous ways of embarrassing themselves but in the moment it can really feel like you’re the protagonist in an anime. I only ever got into two school fights that I remember and there was a similar feeling of fighting against some shounen villain lol

Damn for what was probably a quick dumb little middle school fight you made it extremely entertaining lmao.
I had my first fight in 8th grade and while it was not as epic of a tale as yours it still felt like some anime shit. Long story short there was this kid who was kind of new to school and I had actually made friends with and we even hung out after school sometimes.
I can't remember what started it but one day we were eating lunch and I must have said something to piss him off because he started just repeating the line "you're mom is dead" over and over and she was in fact dead. Needless to say that did not make me a very happy camper and as we were walking out of the lunchroom I'm not gonna lie I was pretty heated and I was looking for pretty much any excuse to hurt this dude.
At one point he walks past me and slightly bumps me with his elbow and at that point I literally just saw red and shoved him into the stage as hard as I possibly could. Then he just looked at me like a deer in headlights for a few seconds and didn't do anything so me and my other friend just started walking away again.
Once we started walking away is when he finally got some balls and ran up behind me and started punching me in the back of the head. He probably punched me in the head about five or six times but little did he know every punch was just adding to my anger and after about the sixth punch I turned around and One Punch Manned his ass so hard his glasses literally went flying across the room and fell backwards on his ass and would not get up as I just stood over him staring him down.
Not only did I hit him hard as fuck but like I said this was right after lunch so like half of the 8th grade class was right behind us watching all of this happen and literally did the loudest OHHHHHHH ever. After that the principal came and was dragging us away and he was still pissed and he kept trying to punch me as we were walking away but I was so content with what happened I didn't even care and he didn't even get close to me anyway and got in even more trouble because of that.
And to top it all off this girl that I had a huge crush on for so long came into the office to get something as I was sitting there waiting for my punishment and just said "nice job champ" and left and that was literally the highlight of my year.

Ive never thrown a punch (intentionally anyway) at anyone but back in 3rd grade, the cool kid who was in the soccer team, which was pretty hardcore, gave me a lot of shit and I'd had enough and I yelled at him something like "so what! What are you gonna do about it!"

My first school fight was kinda anime as well. It happened when I was just transferred to the 9th grade. My old class was disbanded due to a lack of people and I was transferred to a new one with already established community. I was a loner (and anime enjoyer as well) so it caused the local tough guys to pick on me. One day the toughest guy came to me and told me that I am a gae because I watch anime and started talking trash about me right in the middle of a classroom. This dude was a big deal he was one of this chill out smart ass popular bastards and he did martial arts as well. I did not have an intention to provoke him, but I just was not able to listen all of his shit so I trashed him back a little and one of my words hit him so hard that he rushed at me with a series of lightning fast punches. I am not good at fighting and my reaction is pretty slow so the only thing I could think of was maintaining the distance, but it was not a very good idea because I was right next to the wall. So he cornered me in no time, my defense sucked and I was not able to throw a single punch and then I saw his leg movement like he was aiming for the right side of my body so I raised my right knee to block this kick, but I was too fast, the distance was too close and accidentally kicked his balls with my knee. For a moment everything become silent. Every one who watched this fight was shocked including me and that guy. Just by looking at his I was able to see how horrible that hit was. And I was like: man I did not meant to... And he was like: I admit defeat. And the funniest part about this story is that after this fight we became really close friends with him and other tough guys. A couple of month later this dude had a really tough time and ignored all of his friends for a while (nobody saw him for a while and he ignored all of the calls and messages), but when I asked him to hang out he agreed. And then he told me his sad story and how he changed his view on things and he thinks that I am his best friend, but all others are fake and have nothing to do with him. And I thought: Man we Know each others for a couple of month and didn't even hang out that much, but you have known others for centuries wtf is wrong with you.
So that's the story.
Edit: the next day he came to me and instead of taking shit about anime he told me that he was a huge naruto fan. And in the end it turned out that all of these «tough guys» were anime fans.
Mans went through a redemption arc almost immediately lol

My first fight wasn't nearly as anime as yours haha it was much more dramatic. I was in third grade moved mid year to a new school and a gang of vicious fourth graders picked on the new kid with glasses(me). After about two weeks of this it started getting physical. I got pushed against the wall by Jose and they started punching me. My response was headbutt his nose, breaking both his nose and my eye bone and getting us suspended for like a month haha. Never got picked on again though!

That was a wild anime episode. Kinda wish I'd have learned that lesson at the end myself in school. Alas, I didn't. Got bullied for 2,5 years straight (for liking Pokemon a bit too long after it fell out of fashion in our class and generally being a quiet nerd) and ultimately landed in hospital, chewing gum in my hair and leg broken, because the main bully tripped me up and I fell weird. Not quite as anime, sadly, but hey.

That was great. My first school fight was also kinda anime, lmao. Like IDK it was against my cousin but I think it still counts bc we were going to the same school and she was bullying me. She was the "Popular Girl" but not bc of anything she actually did, she was just pretty and constantly shitting on me for not being as pretty and telling ppl all kinds of personal stuff about me. Keep in mind, I was basically disabled as a kid. I was sick constantly, I was paralyzed from the neck down for a while once, I almost died a few times. One time this messed up chick actually told everyone at school that I HAD died, and I shit you not, some sweet boy I barely even knew came to my parent's house to give them flowers thinking I had really died, only for this poor kid to freak the fuck out when I answered the door. XD;;; So yeah, I say all this so you hopefully know, this bitch definitely deserved it. So one day, she's talking mad shit about me. She tells everybody that I've been having nasty rotten egg smelling burps. Turns out later I had an ulcer. Gee, wonder what stressed me out so much to cause that... XD;;; ANYWAYS THO, so I'm done with her, that was way too personal, she had no reason to shame me like that, it was just entertainment for her at my expense, and I'm done with it. She tries to walk away thinking I won't do anything but bitch about it like usual... Instead, I grabbed the bitch by the handle on the back of her backpack...
And I start SPIIIIIINNING~~~~~
I took her on a ride at least 4-5 times around before I finally let her ass go FLYING. Don't care that she got hurt, I wish she had gotten hurt worse, then maybe she coulda known what it was like to be disabled for a while. One of the most satisfying moments of my life. She still messed with me after that, but better believe she picked her battles much more carefully after she knew I could actually battle her ass back.
