- The Smithsonian invited me to Washington DC to build a mountain bike trail in front of the Washington Monument on the National Mall. Just a stones throw away from the Presidents backyard at the White House. This was really an honor to be apart of and I cant thank everyone enough who helped out with all this!

I’m a DC native and I can’t believe I somehow missed this! You did a wonderful job representing our favorite sport :)
Thanks a lot man! Sad you missed it! We had it open to the public to ride on the last day and we got like 2 random dudes who showed up 😂
Same, I can't believe I missed this too!
Same here, I knew about the festival but didn't know about this part. Sad to have missed it but very glad it happened! Hope you come here again soon 👍
Right across the river in Arlington for me. Never heard a lick about this event! Wish it was better advertised
Same I’m from Arlington
I don't really watch that many mountain biking youtube videos anymore. But I love coming back to your videos sometimes to see how far you've come. It's great to see Seth. Congrats on everything.
You’re the best dude. Thank you. I really dont either. We all go through phases. Thanks for always having my back since the start!
@@BackyardTrailBuilds 💪😉
Dude, this is nuts! Congrats for being recognized on the national stage for you talents!
Bentonville being the "mountain bike capital of the world" is VERY self proclaimed
Nah, come ride here and you’ll
Understand
@@nickyocom1699 from video alone you can tell. i feel like they'll need a lot more elevation than that to do all that proclamation
@@antgarce bro they didnt go to Bentonville in the video, and yeah there’s not much elevation, but trails within 5 mins from anywhere you are in Bentonville, sick downtown, and sick features
@@nickyocom1699 what i meant by video is footage from other channel's who've gone. sure its got great trails, but only as much as the terrain can allow, in my personal opinion. going in the whistler area for example youll notice how mind numbingly huge it is and how diverse the riding is over there.
@@nickyocom1699 Bentonville is no where near the "mountain bike capital of the world." There's a lot of places which are way better.
seth barely post much anymore, but when he does, it's an absolute BANGER!
Not really
@@MurderSkatez wrong
I remember when this channel had like 900 subs, which made no sense with how great the videos were. It's amazing to see how far you've come!! And yeah, I've been to DC a few times for raves and the Beast Coast parkour jams, and it's a seriously muggy, hot city which is draining in its own way, so not surprised you felt so exhausted by the end of all that!
Wow, thank you so much! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
It’s crazy how far you have came in the past few years. Your videos are amazing and I love watching them. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you so much!
“Entire bike trail” has me wondering, what is “half a bike trail”?
Great vid and great job with the limited space and time you had to work with👍
I was also there presenting at the festival. Each day I was shocked at your progress! Great job, I was able to catch one of your demos during down time
Dude! I love this channel so much. What a great story to tell!
Hell yea! Thanks, man. Means a lot!
Absolutely nailed it with the trail building AND the vlogging/storytelling for this video. Such a fun watch!
You should be VERY proud ! What a great honor, so nice to see you be recognized for all the good you do.
Been watching you for years now and happy to see you are well and thriving. Keep following your sails, you're doing great!.
Kudos on all your successes
Not only did you nail it, but you also made this whole experience interesting and fun to watch. What a legend!!!
Saw you at the folklife festival. Thanks for all your hard work and for having the coolest exhibit the folklife festival has ever seen.
Haha I dont know about all that, but it was cool as hell to be apart of! Thanks for checkin me out while you were there!
That is incredible Seth! 🤠 I bet it felt so surreal to build right in the National Mall. You deserve all the recognition for your incredible woodwork 🤜
I was there a few weeks ago. It was nice meeting you and seeing your trail demonstration. Since I got to see it live, it’s nice to see the behind the scene and how you got to that point. It was super hot but a nice event overall. I hope you enjoyed the fireworks on the Mall.
Lived in DC for several years and loved going to the FL Festival. This is a great video that makes me miss it quite a bit. Glad you got to experience it!
Hell ya man! You deserve this on your resume!!
Great job!!! We need more of this to inspire people and get them interested in trying mountain biking
Well done, man. Big ups to all the homies who showed up last minute (or 8 hour work day) to help finish. Thanks for sharing!
Always amazed at what you do and how you put everything together. Awesome job man.
Good for you Seth! This is awesome! Thanks for recognizing our local parks-Howler, Fellows, Two Rivers-and repping the Ozarks with style! I've been following your stuff ever since you came to Howler. Glad to see your progress man!
-Blue Dj rider out at opening weekend for Howler
It's so rad to see how far you have not only brought your channel but your skills as well , building riding . Kudos job well done , but I do miss the videos of you building in your backyard. Keep up the awesome progression.
Can you please make more than 1 video every 5 months. That would be greatly appreciated! Your skills need to be captured way more on this platform. 50k views in a day, would be triple that if you posted more! I promise me and all your fans will watch
Dude! I cannot believe the road you've been down these past couple years. Would never have guessed where it would go back when I stumbled on your little channel what? 3 years ago or so. So stoked for you!!
So wild man from watching your original video till now what a wild journey! Im so happy for you!
Seth this is amazing! Well done! I get so excited when I see you’ve dropped another video. You do some of the most unique things and are just a joy to watch.
That's amazing !
Congratulations on having been selected to do that project, and achieving it !
what an unbelievable oppurtunity! amazing work. as always, love the construction jorts.
Always love your videos. Thank you.
Such an awesome opportunity, Man! They definitely found the right person to pull off this feat!
Stoked and proud to have you represent the show me state and our mountain biking !
This is so cool, I'm from DC and used to be a camp consular for the Smithsonian on the mall, but I'm currently in Seattle for college and God damn it, I wish I was home for this
This is so cool, really well done. Stoked for you!!
That was so cool. Congrats on the honor - don't let it go to your head LOL.
Too late. Im out of control.
Man what an insane oppotunity! So much planning must have gone into this. Legend.
Cutlaps!!!
@@CorbinOutdoors of course I watch the GOAT!
You did an amazing job!thanks for sharing and keep it up!
Phenomenal job on this video and on the trail you built on the National Mall for the 2023 Smithsonian Folklife Festival featuring the Ozarks. Really enjoyed getting to know you during the time we were there. What a ride!
SO COOOOOOL!! Glad they didn’t make you move the sandbags back😮😅
Holy Cow. Congratulations dude. What an honor. I'm from the Ozarks in Arkansas. I was born in Des Peres, Missouri. Most of my family lives in and around STL. I live a bit south of Bentonville, Arkansas. Just wanted to say, congratulations, dude.
So cool!! Glad your back
I went to this show a few months ago and this video just popped up on my fyp it was awesome!
Incredible pressure you were under!! Great job with the build!! Great channel keep it up!!!
Cool video and project. I was so amped to my bike, the Pole Voima, in the video.
What an amazing opportunity. So cool, and you must feel so proud of the outcome!
Congratulations! I'm so sorry I missed this - I'm about 25 miles from The Mall and completely forgot about Folklife this year. Would have been cool to see you and your trail.
Massive inspiration ! Am a fellow trail builder from the UK. Love watching ur video. Keep it up man. Epic build, shame it was so short....
I know I’m a late but I was just wandering where you build trails in the uk?
Seth my dude, it was clear back in 2019 that you were going to do some really incredible things - it must be so incredibly surreal to take a step back and see how much you've done and how far you've come. So stoked for you man! Thank you as always for sharing, feel so privileged to be along for the journey.
Now perhaps you should reward your accomplishment with another hand tool creek bridge video... strictly for you, definitely not for us... 👀
It was awesome seeing your exhibit on the national mall! Great work!
Awesome opportunity and sick little shred.. keep up the great work..
Hey Seth! Man it was great getting to be up there with you guys! I got to watch you run the trail a couple times, that thing was awesome man! Hopefully we get the chance to do something like that again in the future! Absolutely loved the people, the atmosphere, and all the new friends! Great video buddy! New subscriber as of now! Keep it up !!
This is so cool! So many MTB videos out there but this is one that I never expected to see!
Great showing and good choice jumping onto it w/o too much hesitation
Fantastic build and video! Love the pacing of your build and storytelling. Made me want to go hit a trail

I met you in person there and I was so stoked!!!! I wish I could have seen the demo and chatted more. You rock!

Hat’s really Crazy you can be really proud of what you have acieved
Such memories of doing BMX shows at our big national fair in South Africa
That's rad! What an honor to be part of that.
This is awesome! What an opportunity of a lifetime and I think you crushed it with all the restrictions there were. Keep it up.
Such a cool video! Wish I could have rode it. Awesome video
I grew up in the Ozarks, but I've lived in another part of the world for 10 years now. Didn't start mountain biking until I got to where I am now. Makes me proud to see the Ozarks represented in such a huge way.
So deserved! Congrats man!
Wow. What an honor. Impressive. Great job. Way to step out of your comfort zone. Spectacular.
Truly the most awesome trail build of all time!
Unreal. Glad to see your art getting national recognition!!
This was a satisfying watch, a simple story well told.
This is so awesome! What an achievement! I'll never forget when I got to pick out the plants my mentor was going to put into their exhibit in the Smithsonian and I was hardly even involved lol
So happy you got this opportunity and crushed it!!
Man!!! What a cool honorable opportunity!! I love that you were able to have this spotlight, and as always, such enjoyable content man. Proud of you, hope i can get you out to St. Charles for some building this year ;)
Hell yeah man, what an honor. You crushed it.
Awesome video Seth! If you are new here and like mountain biking, woodworking, nature, and great music . His channel is dope. And you got a good backlog to see.
Unreal. What a cool story! Awesome job all around. 🫡
Great video! Love the jorts and overalls
Awesome Video!!!!Awesome Creation!!!!
This is amazing! A while back you came and worked on some of my local trails, and they came out amazing. Can’t wait to brag to all my mtb buddies that they were worked on by the same guy who built trail in the “presidential backyard”!
That's insane, congrats! 🎉
YAYYYY!!!!! You're BACK! Missed you Seth!

Huuuge Respect man!! 🔥💪🏻
Great video can’t wait to see more😊
Great job. Pretty neat and fascinating project. Missouri native
Great job man, you deserve it.
Excellent work, very well done!
Love your energy Seth :)! Keep up the good work.
Awesome job !!! You're insane to get a job like this... and get it done ! Congratulations ! You may consider a skinny and/or a teeter totter for the next year ? I think it's "breathtaking" features for the audience and maybe less work (for the structures) for you ? Just a thought... Anyway, congrats again !!! You nail it !
Seth!!!!! You did good.
Wild. Way to go!
I was there and this was one of my favorite parts of the festival!
I was just in DC and I saw this and thought it was so cool, and now I'm seeing this and I'm freacking out
