- Though I've flown this bird a while, I've been diving deeper into the AG weapon systems and trying to familiarize myself with the bird a bit more. Kamsa and I went to the Flashpoint Levant server to test out the bombing and get more acquainted with the bird.

That takeoff and climbout was a thing of beauty.
Really? The takeoff physics are poor, if you rotate before 200kts it springs off the ground and oscillates like mad, in this takeoff he is much higher than the lead, even though he oversped the tyres trying to do a smooth takeoff, the nose still bounced after lift off. The physics need improved.

@@Tingleton11 It did, but the takeoff physics need some work, it's been highlighted in the forum so hopefully some updates soon.

After watching Kamsa struggle with air to air refuelling I'm feeling a little less self conscious about how bad my AAR skills are lol.

if you set A-lase for 0:20 you generaly get more reliability out of GBU10/12 bomb seekers

Mudhennery at its finest (or at least, most entertaining). A small tip - lowering your visor cuts out a lot of the glare, making seeing the HUD & spotting things easier.
By the time Ralfi finishes the A-10 tutorials it will be retired and we'll be using the F-35.
Just something I picked up...somewhere...who the he** knows where...if you box the "EXP" you get an additional level of digital zoom...it can help make things out a bit easier...You probably know that, but it's helped me as I work through the SE.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I don't think I've ever stayed connected for more than about 15 secs, and I've collided with the tanker twice, due to getting more and more frustrated. It would help if the tanker lights were visible...
I think what happened was that you designated something earlier but then moved the TGP thinking the designated target was the one you moved the TGP to.
The problem with that is that the bomb line will be aiming at that earlier point instead of the new target. It has happened to me multiple times so a good practice is to redesignate every time you move the TGP (case by case basis)

@@ralfidude The bombs landing way long is a known bug atm, it was in the “known issues” section of the release notes. It advises using CCIP or diving instead. Only happens with wings level release. Only seems to happen once you’ve forgotten about it too :).

@@ralfidude yeah, it’s really annoying :). You didn’t do anything wrong, it’s just a bug with the Auto mode at the moment. Will hopefully be fixed in the next patch.
You can box “CDES” for continuous designation, i.e. it follows your pod.
I want to get into this game so bad... to bad I have a laptop that, while it is okay, will shit itself if it tries to run this game and has no space for it.
Oh well. Ill keep watching your vids in the mean time!
Put 250-300$ away every month, once you have about 3000 $, spend it on a RTX 3080 / i7-10700K (or similar) PC + good 1440P monitor and buy yourself TrackIR 5 + Warthog HOTAS + TM Pedals with the remaining money.
Remember to go for the good stuff right away, otherwise you'll end up spending much more over time, having to upgrade each time to a better rig.

Hey Ralfi, I've been having the same problem with GBU's. 12s and 10s both just randomly miss and sometimes hit, but 24s are always accurate. I use GBU-10B's and 12C's.
I have the bug where bombs always miss. Always. Razbam knows about it and says in the known issues it’s a bug where “bombs drop long in auto with wings level” so their solution is “try diving for increased accuracy” but for me it’s literally no matter what. No matter what angle no matter what altitude. I literally have not been able to use LGB since it released. I guarantee they have no idea why it’s happening and have no intention of fixing it this year. Yet people refuse to believe it and think it’s my fault and/or I can’t blame Razbam for it.
@SPFLDAngler A couple things, I was lofting my bombs FAR, about 10° nose up, but wings level increased my good bomb rate considerably. Diving will probably help more.
Couple things: Make sure your code is set correctly, 1688 default, make sure you have ALAS or MLAS and use the multifunction switch to lase. Currently I don't think we can change bomb codes, but check them on the first Kneeboard page as maybe some multi-player servers change them in the mission editor, and make sure they match your TGP.
If this stuff is 100% verified, your weapon setup is good on the armt. page, then reinstall the module through the module manager. It is common for bugs to happen in early access that need a quick reinstall through the module manager. If that doesn't work, upload a video and we'll check it over and try to help.

I think the reason why your GBU initially missed was because someone else was lasing on 1688 or ALAS.
I've always used GBU-10M's in PACS and never had an issue.
ALAS CONT is continuous lase and the bomb could've fallen short. The LANTIRN also cannot fire the laser above 25,000ft.

I'm think of getting in to dcs and I don't have a hotas and I wondering what you would recommend for a starter for me.
For now, is there some real use for RIO with F-15E? I mean is there somekind of "jester" who does things for you, or how does that work here? Btw, what is this map. Seems beatiful (I own only one bought map PG :P) Maby I should by new computer, while looking this...
The f15 does t have a rio that’s a navy thing and everything the wso can do can be done upfront

Looks like you have the same bug I have. Bombs drop long in auto “all the time”. Razbam knows about it and in the known issues they say “bombs drop long in auto with wings level” and their solution to it is “try diving for increased accuracy” which to me means they have absolutely no idea why it’s happening and can’t fix it. I have not been able to use LGB since it released and it really broke me on DCS and convinced me to never purchase anything from it again. My first Full Fidelity module after a year of playing and I can’t use it for what it’s meant for. All I can do with it is Single Player BVR(because of an IFF bug in MP that makes friendly and enemy show up wrong on radar can’t play MP PvP)

You can pull it off on your own, but if you had to fly and do the air to ground radar at the same time as trying to update your INS positions on preplanned positions and then scanning and refining the AG image then life would be extremely difficult for you alone. But doable for sure.

I wish mine wasn't bugged... I have the Auto drops long bug, but it also affects CDIP too. So I literally can't drop bombs. I was really looking forward to this module and I want to like it so badly. I just can't. Because of the bugs I have I can't use it for anything except BVR and it makes me really mad and upset.. I had to record multiple bombing runs just to show what I mean.
9:40 LIKE THAT. Every time I drop LGB it does that. Goes long of the target. Only reason it worked there is because the size of the bomb and the radius of damage allowed you to get the kill.
I cannot hit a target with Auto because of this issue. I tried cheating the system and designated in front of the target to try and compensate for the bomb going long but that didn't really help lol. But yeah it's just really fkn frustrating not being able to do what the thing is literally meant to do. A bomber that can't bomb, what a friggin joke...
First, take a deep breath. Second, this is known and will be patched out hopefully by next week. Razbam has already provided a VERY long list of fixes so it's all good. For now, try diving on the target instead a bit like you're dropping in CCIP even if it's an AUTO drop, supposedly this helps a lot till the fix comes out. Cheers.

I really do love the clarity with track IR. Is it hard to track when trying to look behind you though?? Seems like it would be.
You don't look behind you IRL with trackIR. You look like 10 degrees left IRL and it will turn your head 180 degrees in game. It exagerates the movement the further out you go from the center.

If you are already in a steep ish turn and deploy flaps and you have asymmetric flap failure then you risk creating a situation where the plane will want to roll over on you and it might be unrecoverable, especially at that low altitude.

I wish this server didnt absolutely demolish my RAM, makes it unplayable at 98% RAM usage. Need to go to 64GB i think.
A good pagefile on an SSD will help you without needing to go to 64GB. Set your pagefile to have only ONE pagefile to your SSD, no system managed, no anything else. Custom size to 32GB (but in MB) of pagefile for both INITIAL and MAXIMUM, then click SET, APPLY, OK, restart PC for changes to take effect. Should help with the RAM issue.
