People who are warm hearted and generous are often taken advantage of and then because they are taken advantage of and yes, even abused, they end up having low self esteem. Then other people think they can also treat that person badly. Many people like to be cruel and even thrive on it. Then when the abused person finally stands up for themselves, people label them as the difficult one. I recognize this so strongly. People love to kick someone when they are down and what the abusers don't realize is that THEY are primarily the cause of why that person is down in the first place.
And people may think it is a huge advantage to be good looking, and in many ways it is; however, people need to realize that because others are often jealous of someone else's looks, they think they can be cruel to that person. And there is that old stereotype that good looking people have to be dumb or they aren't taken seriously. Good looking people often have to prove their intelligence; whereas, average looking people don't have to do that to nearly as great an extent. And having to prove yourself constantly, also adds to the person's low self esteem.
All the fat women in my family took it personally when the producers and cast of Designing Women and the tabloids and comedians attacked Delta for gaining weight. My first thought regarding Delta versus Dixie on this matter is that Dixie felt she didn't have quite the repertoire or scope that Delta did. So she refused to speak up about the Designing Women producers and she played it safe. But Delta Burke's world was bigger and she wasn't as afraid of what one group of producers could do to her. Delta was Brave to speak up and her producers we're just more arrogant, control freak, rich kid egomaniacs. They were truly delusional about how important they were and about what they could actually get away with without everyone looking and laughing at their babyish antics. Pathetic. Go burke.

She's so beautiful. I wish she knew and her eyes were so stunning.
She's a great woman.............met her on a flight in first class from New Orleans to Denver...........had cocktails with her in Denver....met Gerald........great guy
She's my favorite character. Always had a spunky humor about her that was fun to watch. Even if I was in the middle of something with DW in the background, I'd always looks up when she came on as to not miss anything funny.
She was the one of the women that she was beautiful and then and still is
These yrs later they are still in love 💙🥰

Thank-you Delta I too went from being small All my life to getting fat 😩 and then I got my dream job where I had to dress in business attire. This stressed me out at my size I hated shopping 🛍️ and then I found the Delta Burke clothing line 😍 for women of all sizes what an amazing line, it made me feel like a million dollars and gave me the conference to succeed 🌹 what a Fanomal lady and beautiful from the inside out 😍💖M.G.🇨🇦
I miss Barbara Walters and her great interview 's 🤔🤔 Luv you babs 😃
Delta is amazing, they all are.
At 6:35, she talks about her Beauty Contests and sounds like Suzanne. She is so precious and cute.
I remembering watching filthy rich ...... Loved that show
I liked filthy rich too
Loved these women when Delta and Jean left it was not the same
Delta burke, Dixie Carter, Annie potts and Jean Smart were the fantastic four of designing women.
@@harperstacey9604 some people only see the outside of people when actually there is really so much more
Hello how're you doing?
@@harperstacey9604 except Burke was the star
I didnt like Threes Company as much after Suzanne Sommers got fired

So true, every word
She was ALWAYS My favorite!!! 👍👊💙zane
I love watching designing women!
Love Delta. Wish l could meet her ❤️❤️ If you are reading this delta know you are a beautiful woman
All the fat women in my family took it personally when the producers and cast of Designing Women and the tabloids and comedians attacked Delta for gaining weight. Even my mother (who loved Julia and didn't like Suzanne on the show) was pissed at Dixy Carter for selling out Delta Burke. We were SO PROUD of Delta for speaking out and standing up for herself. She stood up for the rest of us fat women when she stood up for herself.
I ❤ Delta Burke.
Thank you. She's my role model since I was a girl.
WOW! That's so wonderful to hear.👍Those judges at The Miss America Pageant in 1974 must have to been DRUNK😡Delta didn't make the Top-10..Whaaat?🤔 I had a huge L❤VE CRUSH on Delta..MERCY..MERCY..she was nice sized (BBW) and Hotter Than A Burning Stump🔥 Thank You for understanding my Texas Slang.😂🤠🇨🇱
Hello how're you doing?
@@anthonyjolly6689 yeah but her Anne Boleyn with the southern accent was more funny than tragic
That high school reunion episode of Designing Women was so good.
The two things that would strike me would be how incredibly beautiful she is. And how sweet and humble she is.
Such a pretty lady, she looks similar to Linda Carter ❤️
The writing for Suzanne was fantastic & Delta soared it over the moon
I love delta Burke eyes so captivating and her head of thick curly hair greetings from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
ABSOLUTELY MAC IS THE DEFINITION OF GOODNESS!
Luv designing Women Tv show and Delta Burke was just fabulous and great on that show 👍👍 and met the love of her life Gerald 😍 and living her life to the fullest 🤗
I freaking ADORE Delta!!!! Hollywood did her so dirty. She deserved a much more prolific career than she got. If you've never watched Sordid Lives, she was so awesome in that! I hope she and Mac are happy! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘

Just like Suzanne..lol 😆 well with out the southern accent...lol keep doing wat your doing like I said we all love you. I will always support you Delta...always.. Ralphie B...
I loved the episodes with delta Burke after that it wasn’t the same loved her 🥰🥰
My first thought regarding Delta versus Dixie on this matter is that Dixie felt she didn't have quite the repertoire or scope that Delta did. Pathetic. Go burke.
