The rollout shelves between the washer and dryer are great with the extra storage and the convenience of the rollers!
I'm not loving the dark color, it seems to stick out like a sore thumb IMHO. Not trying to offend but I think it would look better with a white finish or even a softer color.☺️
The drop-down folding table is another great idea! But so few laundry rooms have the space for it. For me, I'd rather see something for hanging up the clothes.
A lot of laundry rooms don't have adequate air flow and people take the laundry to the couch or bed to fold it.
I'd almost prefer to see something that fits over the washer and dryer. Something with henges that can be lifted out of the way and can be locked in place when not being used. Then you can release it and it rests on the washer or dryer (or both).
That would give you more width and not stick out into the priceless space of the laundry room.
Too many laundry rooms have such limited space! I've seen very few that have an empty wall for something like the folding table. Utilizing what you already have there and building around, below or above the fixed items is what people are looking for. The rolling shelves are a good example of working within a space!
I actually agree with going with a different color. Painting it would have also been a good idea.
I liked both projects. But, in the first one, I think it would have looked better painted rather than that dark stain. It looked out of place somehow.

Exactly what I was thinking! I think I would have preferred a coat of white paint and it would match the washer and dryer. 😘 Or even a softer color that blends in better.
The dark color stood out and looked kind of like it was just randomly placed there.
That being said, I love the pullout shelves on rollers! Great idea for the storage and utilizing empty space!👍
Agreed. An aged stain, like the grayish one would have looked better than the walnut stain.
Agrees. A lot of men seem to gravitate towards staining wood.

I loved the storage especially the thought of creating the ability to be able to pull up the top storage space perfect for smaller items and not having to pull it out. The brad nails was ALSO a great idea deleting the need of having to fill in and sand.
Love the storage for the the laundry room. I love the stain, much better than paint.
I like these instructional, step by step videos best. Altho' I don't have the fancy tools.

I'm not sure about the stain.
I’ve seen similar narrow storage shelving and this project was great, but why would you stain the wood and not paint it white to match the W&D?
Since you can't use the top of the rolling shelf anyway, why didn't you make it taller, to maximize storage?
I didn't want it to be taller than the machines. That way it also keep items from falling in between the washer and dryer.
When he started making the shelves for between the washer and dryer, I thought how are you going to get to them?

Please never cut a board like that like you did in 5:10. You can seriously hurt yourself from kickback on the circular saw.

I think the same as a lot of people said, they are both lovely projects but the first one would have looked better if the wood had been painted a different colour,l would have painted it white myself but that’s just my opinion.
Yall l. Please DO NOT install project 2 with just plastic anchors cause that thing is going to fall in due time... find the studs and hang it appropriately...

Nice, but too much work! They do have ready made shelving for gaps between the refrigerator and wall and between washer and dryer’s too, or wherever one wants to put it. I love the second idea too; however that’s a lot of work too, I wish I had the wall space for that particular one.
