B-Brazy had a crazy flow too
Is it me or does Redrum sound a LOT different on the track? LMAO In Piru Love this nigga voice was DEEP.
Yo Omar so "true" damn that was "OG" Redrum with the hat, spitting on the last verse. Man that's crazy and what was your initial reaction when u saw it was "Bloody Mary" spittin that first verse. Even when I 👀👀her, I still couldn't believe it.
Darrin The Baron word God. I told my homie about it...and he didn't believe me when I told him it was a girl spittin' that first verse.
Devin Turner real shit. Looks like she was lip lync'n some dude's verse
Darrin The Baron word God. Just like the homie Redrum, her speaking voice is way different than her rapping voice.
Omar Moodie Yea his voice was deeper on Piru Love
Bangin on wax was a classic good to see some OG'S like Redrum, c note, Sin Loc, and Redd ragged still here R.I.P AWOL, Bloody Mary, Green Eyez, B BRAZY, AND Spyder

@@a_realman7775 spot on Brody same thing they did with the black panthers. Infiltrated from within and told on all them niggas. So cold. It would be hard to bring every SINGLE Gang together when they recruit mutha fuccas that purely hate the other side. They would have to get rid of the fakes and Jakes from within then come together with the REAL BIG HOMIES with voices and power. Blacks against blacks goes all the way back to slavery. A the mother fuccinh Op would be right next to you listening to your advice or get away plan and tell they master... Popo. Dea, CIA, pinkertons(they are real!!!)

Awesome. Glad that Red Rum is still alive and kicking and also giving us some scoop on the whole Bangin On Wax deal. Much love and well wishes to this ghetto treasure. Long life, Red Rum.
Thanks for making all the videos Alex, you're one of the few people who can get interviews like these.

Redrum was right. Ice T was the 1st. In his song Squeeze The Trigger from his Rhyme Pays Album (1987) he shouted out LA Gang hoods on wax. He said "Miami Vice is small time, LA's the big leagues From the Rollin 60s to the Nickerson G's, Pueblos, Grape Street this is what I see. The Jungles, the 30s, the V.N.G, life in LA ain't no cup of tea."
RIP RedRum!!!!! 💯💯💯
Ice T mentioned 60's, Nickersons, Pueblos, Grape, Jungle, 30's and the VNGs on Squeeze The Trigger. That dropped in 86-87
Much respect for knowing our hip hop history. Ice T put the west on the map in a real way for hip hop kids back then.

My cousin AWOL was the best rapper from Bangin On Wax. What is he talking about? -__-
Jerry Calloway brazy and suga buga was gas
B Brazy was the Best Then Lil Hawk Then Big Wy
brazy Montana took the words right outta my muthafuckin mouf add AWOL in there tho
Awol b brazy sin loc lil hawk my opinion
No lie from the C-Side (Awol,Troll Loc,Freeze,GBone) was rippin shit from the B-Side (Lil Hawk,B Brazy, Yank, Pimp D, SugaBuga/Dog, Lil Stretch sometimes and Redrum sometimes. Everybody was good in thier own way whenever they had a chance to be on a song but if Awol did get sign by a label like Ruthless or Death Row between 93-95 Im sure he wouldve had a platinum plaque he was raw plus in those songs he was in his late teens ripping shit like that

honestly bro reminds me of kurupt when he speaks
OG RedRum, don't care what anyone says about him, he was on the original shit... Piru Love was such a prominent track and really put the light on these kind of rappers. I am from Europe, I don't claim anything here but when you've done a lot of research into the whole subject, you come to see that the whole Bangin on Wax/B&C's were *raw* hip hop, and made a big impact on the scene... even if their lyrics were violent, people just don't understand the whole concept man.. rap is rap, you can say whatever you like in it because it's -just- rap. The thing that frustrated me the most was the fact that every gang didn't like come together and form a huge Black Panthers-type movement, you see... the Black Panthers got shut down for a reason, and we all know why that is... I ain't in favour of any race, I don't associate with labels such as race, gender, nationality and shit. No doubt there were FBI/CIA/Other agents instigating violence ALL the time to just add fuel to the fire, while making it seem like it was *always* a rival gang thing... If you don't believe shit I say, that's fine.. but at least stop and think to yourself who's runnin the world as all this shit's kicking off? the old white men sitting back counting stacks and printing money.
Redrum like thank you for that drop now get out my ibterview in the most humblest way 😂 only rum
RIP big homie.
That's Way old school folks thats the shit we delt wit from back in the day .booya tribe .funky nation

I wouldn't call him a groupie, he's more like the reporter for the gang culture. Alex puts himself in a great deal of danger even getting REAL gangsta's voices heard. Respect to Alex.

Real dude
actually Suicidal Tendencies self titled album from back in 1982 was the first album cover to have gang tie images.. peek the behind the albulm cover.. Amery smith is wearing a V13 flipped up hat
i knew it i feel like in a way they influenced group like cypress hill body count ice cube late 90s album etc. just look at the way they dressed
+OnAComeUpChea nice thanks for the info i knew they weren't the first look like that but in terms of music well Idk bout that. do you know any group bands or artist that had that look before suicidal?
Eli covarrubias
Naw musically Suicidal Tendencies was the first in the scene to come out with that look but they didn't dress like that when they started until 82.. people who weren't tied to gangs started to dress like that & started their Suicidal punk gangs all around LA.. ST kinda gave wave to the Venice Punk scene & the Venice punk cholo look that "Dogtown & Z-Boys" started a decade ago with skateboarding in Southern Cali.. I recommend you to watch that documentary guaranteed you'll like it.. Mike Muir's brother was part of that movement.
+OnAComeUpChea woah man you know your shit but there is one think i would change on what you said. even tho those band had strong punk/hardcore influenced back in that time they called it crossover thrash or thrash cuz they add thrash influence as well bands like Beowulf, excel, uncle slam, no mercy ,infectious groves etc
Eli covarrubias
well all those bands came out of Suicidal Tendencies one way or another lol.. I'm actually younger than what I'm speaking about but being a fan & being from LA I know a thing or two
Did his voice get higher the older he got?
He now looks like a light skinned Eddy Griffin
There is a book from the early 90, They interview a bunch of rappers including ice-t. In the book ice-t quotes rhymes he claims he wrote in the late 70s where he rhymes about shooting Brims. the rhymes would proabbly simlar to one he did on 'soul on ice" But if were talking about references of gangs Mc fosty and the wrold class wreking cru both made quick mentions of bloods and crips in the early 80s.
