- This video takes you into the lives of some Vietnamese Danish and Danish people in Denmark. Besides the high taxes, life in Denmark for medical and school expenses are relatively free. Plus, there's also very good Vietnamese food there.. That's why it's great to me. However when Nina's parents first moved to Denmark, things were a lot different. This video takes into the real lives of real people.

For those of us from Southern California or from Vietnam, we never have to really think about the lack of Vietnamese food or veggies. But hearing stories of how difficult it was and to a lesser degree now, for Nina's parents to buy veggies to cook some of t heir Vietnamese foods is really inspiring and fascinating. It's something that is quite unimaginable for many Viet kieu abroad now, but at the same time, there are many of us who are still without produce readily available. Just some food for thought. Thanks for watching. Come back in the next series because it's a whole new country and yes, there are Vietnamese people there too!
Kyle Le Dot Net to be perfectly honest your videos outside of Vietnam are so much less interesting than the videos you make in Vietnam. The bulk of your subscribers are living outside Vietnam and want to see videos from Vietnam. There is nothing “inspiring and fascinating” about having to find veggies to make Vietnamese food when you’re outside of Vietnam. It’s just called going to the Asian grocery food store that’s about 15 minutes from where most of your subscribers live. What you’re documenting is what most of us already experience on a day to day basis. I like your channel and I want it to succeed but you’re not doing yourself any favor by making these pseudo travel videos.
Kyle Le Dot Net do live in Westminster?
+Thy Nguyen i agree that some of my best work was filmed in Vietnam but I've filmed plenty of content from there throughout the years. Especially in the last two years. What you're seeing now is the natural progression of my life as I took time to edit some of those long documentaries you saw the past few weeks and months. I would love to do documentaries and unite families in every video but some people enjoy seeing simple vlogs too. Also, I make videos for myself and my friends as well. Just because this doesn't interest you doesnt mean others wont appreciate and enjoy variety. I know I certainly do. As for the veggie thing, it's not fascinating to you which is fine but Again it's all about perspective. I know Vietnamese people in Vietnam who enjoy seeing viet life abroad or many viet Americans appreciate seeing their European counter parts. You're lucky you have an Asian grocery store nearby. Not everyone has that luxury... like these people in Denmark. As I mentioned before I no longer live in VN and doing and pursuing other project and work outside of CZcams so videos will be different moving on. Therr will be some documentaries and some vlogs. I don't expect everyone to like it but some will and some wont. Wish i could release epic docs all the time but it's just not possible. Thanks for your feedback and concern though.
+Honda 97 no. But I'll be there soon
Kyle Le Dot Net this is my first video on your channel. Are you an American of Vietnamese descent? You have an American accent! :) This video was really interesting!! I love love love Vietnamese cuisine!!! Thanks for posting!
Thanks alot for these videos Kyle. I am half Vietnamese half Danish so these videos make me very happy seeing both of my cultures and people's.
Tak Tim. Vi Danskere skulle måske skrue lidt ned for selvfedmen

+Tulan Katyl having your own CZcams channel is easier said than done .... but one day we will all reunite in Vietnam
Great video as usual, love ya vids! Nina is awesome does she have a youtube channel?
They had a great time. good
What the name of the first restaurant in this video, serving traditional Danish food?
that baby is so cute!! :)
For the Danish locals, what kind of car is this, to the right of the screen --> 2:24 ?
No, mì quãng does not require water from a specific well. It’s the other dish called cao lầu which is ubiquitous mainly in Hoi An that does.
+Thanh Nguyen thank you for the clarification.
Where in Denmark is this?
Nina is so cool and nice!
Baby looks so cute!
Did you notice the head on that kid? It was huge! Definitely a C-section baby.
Kevin P 😜

They so cute
Kyle please do a documentary on the Muong people and the ethnic minorities of Vietnam who speak an ethnic language from Vietnam like the Muong language!!!
How cute is Nina?
Nina seems so bloody nice ....
👍🏼😘
They don't have heater in their house Kyle? Is that why they store firewood?
+mathscience2 it was a joke...
Huh? I'm asking why they store firewood inside like that?
That looks like decoration, dude.
It's either just decoration or just because they find a fireplace cozy. A lot of Danish homes have a fireplace but it's not how they heat the home at all, it's just because people like them. Sitting in front of the fire during a dark winter evening is always nice. :P
mình thích phong cách làm việc của bạn
This gonna be a long comment. I'm born and raised in Vietnam but have been in US for 4 years as international student. I don't miss Vietnam, because all I can remember is my mom had to take me back from school and then we would have to go bribe a police just to leave my mom alone with her business. I hate the life of having to worry people try to make money on you illegally for no particular reason. I don't miss Vietnam..
Don’t you have to go back when you’re done with school? Maybe you can apply for DACA
I am w/ you.
I try to not think about Vietnam because I have too many painful experience in Vietnam!
@Mai Ly Good, a traitor will not be missed.
Org he is so cute😍
hello Kyle
how are you doing...can i joying with you just one (1) trip.....any where.........
San Diego meet and eat and greet coming up soon. follow me on social media for more info.
first!!!! I did it!
Ummmmmmm ! Vietnamese food is very tasty ! I like asia very much and i was there 2 month last year, i hope i will visit Vietnam.
People are speaking a lot about the beauty of Japanese or koreans women but women from Viêtnam are very beautiful. Hi from France.
Where is Nina originally from? She seems very American.
+Kevin P born in Denmark. She's never been to usa
More like it's easier to speak a general American accent than it is to speak any other, especially British ones.
80s Guy she lives in a scandinavian country, the nordic countries all are heavily influenced by american culture through tv, music and pop culture. I'm viet-swedish and i've never been to the states but i speak With a standard american accent. The schools in scandinavia introduce english st a very young age and nothing is dubbed here.
80's guy You're wrong about the native tongue thing. In my english class we were push into trying adopting a english accent of some sort. Most choose american because that's the one most heard and therefore the easiest to use
Yeah the kids good at english succeed the not so good kids didn't. But tbh I think it's a question of use. If you talk a lot in english your accent(danish one) slowly disappears. But also talent
I love them cheap cheeseburgers too
Your friends she so cute
You seriously need a gimbal for your vlogging kyle. Something to balance all the bumpy footage
+Kenny Pham I bought a gimbal for my main camera but I returned it because it was too bulky to carry around and it was not possible to get other shots Beyond just walking. Also putting it on and off the gimbal took too much time. These are just vlogs they are supposed to be somewhat shaky because they are filmed without much interference to real life
Look so yummy guys
Vietnamese people are gorgeous
Nina baby so gorgeous , video so good .
Danemark it s top country to live. First gini. Chỗ ong so 1 thế giới
Tak 🥰
So 1 thế giới để sống. has a very high gini note. 1er pays à y vivre. Plus que les Usa. Loin derrière.
Umm, I feel like you missed a bit if historical aspect of why and how them immigrated to Denmark. Like pre 75, pre 54? Like in your Morraco video you briefly mentioned French colonialism, small info about why and when they immigrated over. Having splashes of informative fact will help your videos a bit more. I already seen other Morracoian documentaries of French expats and on YSL. However a country like Denmark is quite unknown to me and you didn't get to interview the parents in their story.
+pressefr already made a viet in Denmark video. Please search
Oops I spoke too soon *searching* I still love your vids!
such a typical Danish mindset "I dont even know" We are not afriad to say "Dude, I have no idea what it is called to be honest, but it tastes good and its in front of me. Don't ask questions. food now, talk later."
how does Vietnamese in France /Italy/Denmark learn to speak english so well..??
Everyone in Denmark (And I assume France and Italy are similar..) start learning English in school when they're like 7 years old or something. Then they'll have several English classes every week until they're done with school.
So someone like Nina probably has something like 10+ years of English classes.
Because Denmark is a small country, Danes also tend to visit other countries a lot so they get to use the English language on vacations and stuff.
Things like video games etc. are also in English here in Denmark, very few of them (the ones for kids basically) are translated to Danish. So kids playing Counter Strike, Diablo, Warcraft, Call of Duty or whatever are used to reading and understanding everything in English.
We don't "dub" our movies here in Denmark either unless they're for small children. Things like Shrek, Toy Story etc. are available with Danish voices but the English versions are also on the discs and are what I and everyone I know prefer.
It doesn't really matter if they're Vietnamese or not, the education system and society is the same way for everyone growing up in Denmark. Someone like Nina will go through the same schooling system, will watch the same TV channels etc. as someone like me (Random white guy from Denmark.). Her being from a Vietnamese family really doesn't change anything. :)
I go for sushi sake and departure denmark
Oh, she is married and had baby already. Wow.
+D Le not her baby just a joke in the beginning
Danske folk, vær venlige venner✨😊🇯🇵
Kyle man, time to find a girl. Tina seems like a sweet girl !
What a beautiful family.the husband is so cool.he knows he is blessed.viet girls are loyal and that is more beautiful than others.not because we r better but.they are very down to earth
Thích xem chanel của a lắm mà mù tiếng anh...😴😴😴
4.58 any VIETNAMESE understand the language got burst in laughing fall of the chair "cà cái dê" what the hell he explain 😂 😂 😂
I'm vietnamese, but we never call cà dái dê, we call it "cà tím" or "cà tím dài" i never hear anyone saying "cà dái dê" where he from though
Interesting to see how the guy had a cold, unfriendly look when talking to Kyle at 4:03 (I get couple of reasons why he didn't look happy is because of personal stuff, that and the camera being there and recording him and them talking to him about money, but still can't help and feel the coldness).
Den lille barn ser ud som om far er Dansker eller Norsk!
She is done, and that's her trophy.
wow was she born in Danish or what... english so fluent and hardly hearing no accent when spoke; even no danish accent as well
What a Gorgeous Baby!!!!!!! I Love Him with Such Cute eyes and Golden Hair, and beautiful Cheeks.
Jennifer Lorence that’s not her baby.
Is that All Vietnamese Do in Denmark all Day, Eat Eat Eat >?????
Please while you are enjoying all this luxury foods , think of all the starving poor children around the world 😎😁.. cheer
The foods doesn’t 👀 goood at all!
So how the racism in Denmark? Who is the biggest minority group and which minority group gets a lot of crap? Sadly, every country has a scapegoat to kick around during tough times! 😕
Todd Le
Prolly the new Muslim refugees
you know how Caucasians say they get a lot of stares when they're walking in Vietnam? I guess it happens to Asians in Denmark too.
Only if they are filming. Danes are private people.
Not really, i dont care where other people origin are from. Fairly sure most dont care infact, we have people with origins from all over the world here. But sure like all countries we do have "haters" aswell.
And honestly i would proberly ignore you if i hade no reason to talk to you hehe. You do your thing, i'll do mine :)
Cute baby. Does not look Asian.
BRUCE JEANDUC that’s not her baby apparently. They were just joking about the baby being hers
she should come back to vietnam , she can have good life there by teaching english
“It should be free” yeah of course he believes that. For one there is no such thing as free and it doesn’t magically exist. Nor does it mean better
Kartofler not to Irish
Your video days are over...sad...
