  • Snow has fallen and my snowblower is not on my John Deere 3046R Cab tractor. I scramble in the mud and roll around on my wet garage floor to get this tractor ready for snowblowing. Please check out my book, "Mind Kill, Rise of The Marauder" at Amazon and Kindle. Tractor in Peace

    Oh Pete you had me LMAO !!!!
    I just saw your #97 in the cab during blizzard blowing snow 2-28-20
    I lost it on your “paper clip” suggestion !!!!!
    Lol !
    Yeah we all knew it was a clothes pin and we knew what you was talking about !
    Your a hoot keep up the Awesome videos you do a great job explaining in detail and just letting all of us ride around in your heated cab with you while you’re snowblowing is so cool !
    In fact I got all fired up and went out and ordered me a brand new 2022 3039R with deluxe cab and a 320R loader with a heavy duty bucket also got the Balis box with the 9 inch extension apparently it adds 200 or 300 pounds on top the 850 so that should add at least a 1000 pounds of ballast Weight !
    I also am waiting for Black Friday to get my bora 4 inch wheel spacers also and a 72 inch drive over mower deck I went with the frontier 3 point imatch hitch attachment it’s a SB1164 with the hydraulic chute and deflector attachments .
    This way I can keep my loader on during the winter and use the loader if I need to pile up or push snow in places.
    My John Deere dealer
    (AG PRO )that I have here in Mount Vernon Ohio told me they ordered a new 3039R loaded back in November of 2020 !
    Apparently AG PRO has sold over 50 new 2022 3 and 4 series tractors but none of them have a promise date of delivery ?
    This is only for the state of Ohio by the way and just AG Pro .
    The only reason I’m getting mine is because my dealer ordered it back in 2020 of November over a year ago and they ordered it with all the bells and whistle‘s and I even added the fender extensions and the front wheel fenders and instead of the R4 tires I went with the same size tires that you have but I ordered it with the R14T it’s a Goodyear Titan tire ! Check them out !!
    Get them while you can you might not be able too the way things are going in this country ????
    So they just got a promise date or delivery date no later than February !
    But I keep hoping I’ll have a new tractor for Christmas I’m very excited !!!!
    Of course with 10,000 employees being on strike at the moment with John Deere I’m sure I’ll be grateful for the February delivery date my salesman says as it is now a lot of these people that have ordered Tractor‘s won’t be seeing them until mid summer or even next fall !!
    I was wondering how well your book is selling you say it’s a good read ?
    I might have to pick it up !
    Again thanks for the great videos you seem like my kind of people for sure !!
    I live down by the Cardinal Center Marengo,Ohio right off of State Route 61 right off of interstate 71 by Columbus Ohio if you’re into trap shooting or shooting sporting clays it’s an absolute blast it’s another one of my hobbies !
    I also build & fly RC air planes and if you got the September issue of AMA magazine the AMA president Rich Hanson reached out to me and wanted to put an article that I sent him in the September issue it is under the presidents perspective !
    Take care !!
    Happy Holidays !!
    And never be ashamed of saying Merry Christmas and God bless You and Yours !!
    I’m David Curt Carter Ziems !
    Always fly high and hope you have a tail wind both ways !!
    If you’re shooting always keep that breach open and empty until your up !!
    PULL !!
    Lol.

      Nothing I could write could equal your comment...you're just amazing. I hope you get your tractor soon...please email me a picture. We had to wait 4 months for the loader for our 5090M and 6 months for it's snow pusher. I'm excellent with a pistol...not so good with clays but I'm sure I could improve. Clays are quite the sports many of my good friends shoot clays. I haven't flown RC planes in 3 years, but I am hoping to start next summer. Most of my planes were 4 strokes, I will be selling them for electric...maybe not my cub. That's a big deal AMA wants to feature in an article please let me know if this happens. Merry Christmas, and Happy thanks giving and God Bless your family...just awesome!

    Alright Pete, us snow jocks getting ready for more snowremoval. This year I have a little bit different approach than last year when I started out with the loader and inverted snowblower (And got very little snow). So THIS year I'm starting out with a hydraulic blade up front and my 6'' box blade until I get a good frozen base on the gravel driveway. Then later the inverted will come on if it is warranted. Wow lots of prep to get that nice front mounted snowblower ready to go.

    Thanks for posting. I can always use a refresher. Here in northern Wisconsin we awoke to conditions very similar to your opening snow scene. I too am very far behind due to the long beautiful fall during which time I spent piling miles on the RZR instead of prepping my 3039 for winter. Luckily I don’t have to wrestle with the front drive shaft since it remains on all year. I especially liked your portable work light. What make is it?
    I use the same blower and I love it. It has never given me a problem. I also have a rotary broom which I use in the early season. Talk about a great tool! We get a lot of nuisance snow off of Lake Superior and since we’re at the southern end of the lake effect range we get severe dustings almost daily in the early winter. The rotary broom works well. I’d say it does an even better job than my blower since it gets down to bare pavement every time. Since I can turn the head both left or right it makes cleaning in tight areas a breeze. I’ve regularly cleared up to 6 inches of wet or dry snow effortlessly. Some years it’s all I use. You might want to check it out. The broom can also be used to freshen up your lawn in the spring. Take care and thanks for the great videos.

    I used to leave the mid-drive shaft front bearing mount in place with my 3320 TLB. I just removed the lower draft arms when using the loader. Also was able to leave my Deluxe Grille Guard in place when using the front 3 point hitch. Made winter changeover to the front plow much faster and easier. That being said that front bearing carrier was fairly low which could have been a problem where ground clearance was a concern.

    Thanks for the very informative video. I am thinking about getting a 3039R or 3046R. I wondered if I should consider a front mounted snow blower. After seeing this video I have decided that it is a non starter. I have a JD 4115 with a front mounted snow blower that I have to put on each year. I guess my question is am I gonna have to go through all that work on the snowblower every year to switch it from the loader back to the snowblower or can some of that snow blower items stay on the tractor? Thank you and I enjoy watching your videos all the time especially since you have the same tractor I ordered. Because of you I think I’m going to get my tires filled with rim guard and thinking about Bora 4” rear spacers because I have the 72 inch heavy duty loader.

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  Před 2 lety +2

      Pete some of the black metal underneath my tractor is for the midpoint deck, if you don't have a deck your tractor won't have that. It use to be harder look at my older videos as I had to remove the tractor lift trapeze. I don't know the exact front hitch you'll have. If you don't have a mid mount mower you could leave the prop shaft support on, and the blower shaft but I'd recommend removing the lifting arms which may be mandatory. As I'm no longer using the mid mount deck I could leave the prop shaft support on and the blower shaft but I don't want it dragging and pushing through mud, dirt and rocks. In the video you can see the dirt on the bottom of my tractor...even the transmission and front axle. I would highly recommend rim squared and spacers if you're doing loader work...it's an absolute in my book. I hope you receive your tractor soon. Tractor in peace!

      Todd I did the same thing !
      Pete got me all fired up and I ordered a new 2022 3039r with 320r loader HD bucket and the Balise box with the extension piece and a 72 inch drive over mower deck and I wanted to keep my loader on in the winter so I went with a frontier three point imatch for the rear !!
      Did you get a date yet when yours will be delivered to your dealer they haven’t even made mine yet apparently I will be getting an email or Text when they’re going to make it ?

    great video. i like watching your videos i just ordered me a 3046r with backhoe not sure when they will start building it. about year ago i bought a 59" snowblower the front hitch, pto shaft, bearing bracket at great price. just ordered all new nuts and bolts for it. i have a question, on your pto bearing bracket can you tell me what the wire on it dose and do i need it and also dose the tractor wiring harness have a place to plug it into. thank you

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  Před 2 lety +1

      Martin good question. The dealer installed that sensor at the bearing housing so the tractor engine would not shut off when the PTO is engaged and the tractor is reversing. It worked for one season and has not worked since. Many viewers have sent me directions how to reprogram the tractor so it will not shutoff reversing when the PTO is engaged...but i simply put a cloths pin under the PTO button. Maybe I'll make a video fixing that sensor. I think the dealer ran the plug to the sensor I don't think the tractor came with one. I hope your tractor comes in soon.

    Hi I have a question regarding the rate knob in the hydraulic line leading to the front 3 point actuator. My first time using my new blower left me wondering if I needed to adjust the rate knob because the lifting and lowering of the blower is so quick and jerky. It was the first snow of the year and I carved up my gravel driveway quite a bit with the blower shoes since the 1/4 mile driveway is a little soft and not totally level. Frequent fine adjustments with the stick were difficult and somewhat frustrating. Turning the knob seemed to help but I have gone 4 full turns now and the difference is negligible if at all.. I'm not actually even sure if the knob is in the send or return line and consequently which way to turn it to soften the action! I will not likely be using the front PTO for anything other than the Blower

      @maraudermitchelli  Před 2 lety +1

      MB I don't fiddle with the knob anymore. I think we just have to get comfortable with the sensitivity of the stick. Not John Deere's best design as the loader stick has cables which run to the valves...my stick has a lot of play in it. Take your time and get use to the sensitivity I hope this helps. I would also adjust the cutting edge and angle to what is best for your driveway...which may be not scraping to pavement or stone. Have a Happy Thanks Giving

      Allen a little every time i add fuel. A little goes along way. I started using it in my pickup truck...that i would only do every 5-10 tank fulls. There are other similar product which are probably great. I hope this helps.

    Question I was always told do not use a power grease gun because you will blow out the seals?

    • @maraudermitchelli
      @maraudermitchelli  Před 2 lety +2

      Todd I don't believe that to be true in all cases...you probably generate more power than this pump when you're pushing hard. There is something on my excavator that they told me not to use a power grease gun...and i can't remember what. So i think what you were told is partially correct for certain applications. I hope you put a lot of miles on your Harley bike. Have a peaceful holiday.
