In this video, I try to beat a hardcore nuzlocke of Pokemon Black without...
a lot of things.
Rules:
1. Only the first encounter on every route can be caught(if there is a static encounter and wild encounter in the same area, I can choose which of them to use)
2. If I already have a pokemon from the encounter's evolutionary family, I can re-roll the encounter.
3. I must try to nickname all new pokemon.
4. No items in battle.
5. No over-leveling past upcoming gym leader's highest level pokemon.
6. Set mode must be turned on.
7. No items out of battle. Including potions, so no healing during the elite 4.
8. No held items.
9. No TMs.
10. No move re-learners or tutors.
11. HMs cannot be used in trainer battles(so only for field moves + wild battles)
12. If even one of my pokemon faints, I have to reset the game.
13. All type matchups are inverted. So Grass is 2x super-effective vs Fire, and Electric is 2x super-effective vs Ground.

This must've taken an insane amount of planning, impressive. What I want to know is, how did you know to check an almost decade-old playthrough to figure out Seismatoad's ability!? Were you that paranoid about Bulbapedia being wrong lol? That's seriously crazy. I wonder how the heck you could possibly create a more restrictive ruleset, but I know you'll be able to. Looking forward to whatever comes next! :D
Nah the speedrun guide I looked at to get trainer stats had seismitoad’s ability as poison touch, but every other source(including bulbapedia) had swift swim. That was enough to double-check with a playthrough
My favourite cutscene is the one at the end of the area zero adventure in SV, feels like a good ending to a good (for pokemon games) story
I need to try an inverse nuzlocke some time, it would be really fun having the entire game turned on its head.

My favorite cutscene for a Pokemon game, although I never experienced it in my games, is when Arceus makes a Palkia/Dialga/Giratina egg in the Sinjoh Ruins. Just the fact that it uses real-world images to show Arceus' immense power will forever be mind-blowing to me!
its a shame this doesn’t have nearly as many views as your other vids, it’s just as good if not better
no items outside of battle is very fun. ive beaten every pokemon game ive played like that. the elite four is always the best part (minus the grinding). it's a lot more fun coming up with strategies where you take the least amount of damage rather than just fully healing your team after each battle.

My favorite thing about your nuzlockes is that you show multiple attempts on one video. I know I just tend to like longer form content, but it's nice when there is more video to watch. I also like seeing you get better at the game overtime.

this challenge is absolutely insane, this is like, a harder-core nuzlocke with the whole no healing aside from centers and no deaths period rules!! the final battles were just that more intense to watch since i knew just one mistake would end the run entirely

47:00 i don't understand your reasoning for the Acrobatics and Bisharp thing. Even when doubled in power, Acrobatics would still be 220, way below than 400 from Stone Edge and 380 from Sludge Wave, and no, AI factors Acrobatics as normal. The only explanation i got was that even with type chart inverted, AI still sees Sludge Wave as a non damaging move, but if that's the case, Hydreigon had to be the next pokemon and not Eelektross. Idk, that was really weird

I edited it using nitro explorer and a hex editor
why u no use the universal Pokémon Randomizer to “unlock” trade evos
Normal is now the most broken type in inverse because no resistances and ghost is no longer immune
4x weak to ghost though
@@IceBr8kr It may have a weakness to ghost, but having no types that resist it is broken, even if it's not super effective against anything except rock, steel, and ghost. Take a look at gen 1 psychic where only psychic resisted psychic, gen 4+5 dragon where it was only resisted by steel. If there's no type that resist another, it's probably going to be broken
How did you make types inverted?
Used nitro explorer to take out the type chart file, edited it online with a hex editor, and then put the edited file back in.
