Sweet. You all are back in the main studio. Nice. Glad Roland beefed up the voices. Nice patches. Seems plenty of throw in the faders considering the size. Nice.
Same throw in the faders as SH-01A and JU-06A.

You use Arturia KB for playing the JX-08. Is it a random choice ? What nice combination is there else? KB for playing music separate and with another device, as the synth> Because if i buy a keyboard with te JX-08 or JD-08 i like to use it as a separate music device too, not only for midi. I know ofcourse about the special KB for 08 but 110Euro for only a keyboard i can use on a nice music device too. And how you connect the two in combination with a DAW on PC ?
You can play it with any keyboard/synth that has midi.
It reminds me of that scene in City Slickers, where the two brothers who make ice cream - Barry and Ira Shalowitz - the one brother always knows the perfect ice cream to go with any meal. That's how Jack is with a patch - one note of what it sounds like is enough for him to create the perfect demo riff. Funky and bluesy like Bernie (Patch 3), Deeply Spiritually Fulfilling (Patch 6), Simply Preposterous (Patch 8).

That's right, some stores may have received stock already but the two new boutiques don't go on sale until early next year.

I think Roland need to take a hint from Behringer and reissue full-size reissues they're missing such a incredible chance.
Would be expensive but there is a market for it. People would buy even if premium.
JX 08 or Deepmind 6?
£349 for the Roland £397 for the Behringer.
They both sound great. The Behringer seems to offer more.

It really depends on what you want. The deepmind 6 can only play one patch at a time while this can play 2. Deepmind has six voices of polyphony, this has 20. The deepmind has a really nice screen that shows you lots of information at one time, this has a tiny screen that shows you pretty much nothing. And lastly and maybe most importantly the deepmind is an analog synth with an analog filter, this is a digital Recreation of an analog synth.
Personally I was not a big fan of the sound of the deep mind when I owned one but you should try to play one in person you may like it more than I did

Can anyone tell me if Roland is planning to make a boutique JU-06a with 20 voices?Just as he says in the video, if they're gonna do the Juno version with higher voice count, thats what I WANT.

That Thing IS the closest to a enhanced voices Version of a Juno Boutique with more capabilitys. IT even have the 106 Chorus.
You're asking for something with more voices, but as a consequence those voices are vastly less authentic to the original Juno 106/60. The JU-06a is running full circuit simulations of the 106/60.. so yeah, you only end up with 4 voices (as the processors Roland use are quad core ARM based). What you're asking for is just Roland's generic Zen Core virtual analogue engine, that they have in everything these days.. with a sloppy parameter template on top to make it limited to the parts that sound vaguely more Juno-esque
I would get a System-8 if you want 8 voices of Juno 106/60. Or you could polychain 2x JU-06a.. but don't rely on Roland's polychain implementation alone, you need to round robin the synths with a MIDI distributor as Roland only made overflow polychain for some dumb reason
Roland needs to take a hint from yamaha and make a "reface" of every boutique model up to this point. They'd sell like hotcakes 🥞
I think Roland could surely afford to do it and sell them for $300 and yes they would sell !

I own a JX8-P for twenty years or so.. I actually do like clones but this one here, I can't recognize at all. The Presets should have been the originals anyways cause they still are great. Especially with Soundtrack being one of the best sounds ever.
I think I've heard some original patches in the musictrackjp review of this synth. So I'm eagerly waiting for this one to become available.
Hmm. I'm a fun of the boutiques (I have 8 of them), but not really hearing anything here that grabs me.
Everyone with want the jd08 but this one is a curiosity for sure
My first impression was “why wasn’t this a jp8080 boutique instead?”
Sounds great but serious hum and noise problem with USB, and if you want to transpose a sequence, you can't do it from a Midi keyboard, you need to buy the Roland dock. 😡
Use a genuine Apple iPhone or iPad charger to power a Boutique if you have USB noise or hum. They are properly grounded so eliminate noise and hum. Obviously not ideal if you want to use the USB features.

I agree, Jack. 4 voice polyphony on the JU-06(a) is ridiculous! If there were more (at least 8), then I had bought it instantly.
This JX-08 doesn't do it for me, sound wise. And probably equipped with the most unusable presets I've ever heard...
JX range were divisive synths. But For me it is a desirable sound. Buying this day one.

JX-03 patches are basically awful but you can great sounds manually. I suspect this will be the same.

The sound aside, only 4 voices on this is ridiculous. I cannot understand how Roland was thinking when they decided that would be enough in 2022. Had it been all analog, it would have been more forgivable, but it’s not.
What can it do that a free plug-in can't do?

Roland did a good job recreating the sound of the original jx-8p, but of course a real jx-8p always has it´s own sound and character. But why do they keep release these miniature synth modules that suck hard, just my opinion.
Uninspiring synth by today’s standards… but it’s Roland we’re talking about here.

I know, that sucks, why not the real original synth in a small format like the size of a JD-XI at least.
