- Meet the legends - Gibson Les Paul model 1959 along with Les Paul Goldtop 1957. The gold standard of electric guitar sound of all time. Representatives of the Golden Era of rock and roll. The dream of every guitarist and collector. A guitar shrouded in myth, secrets and magic. But that is not all. In this video, together with Udo Pipper, we compare original vintage guitars and their sound with the sound of my Dr.'s guitars. Nitro workshop. Stephanie Burst and a set of 8Bomb 59 PAFclone, Javelin GT with a set of 8Bomb Goldie PAF pickups. These guitars will compete for their place next to the vintage originals. The sound was recorded using GoPro camera microphones, since this method maximally conveys the real perception of sound in the environment.

How exciting was that !! WOW. All 4 of those guitars are truly fantastic sounding Rock & Roll machines. That 57' is in a class all by itself. Great work Dr. Nitro. 🏆
Thank you 🙏
This Channel is pure 🔥🔥🔥 for lovers of the '59!🤘
Thank you!
@@8BombCustom Your work is excellent! the ' 58 P.A.F set is stellar and so are the others. I just prefer the Alinico II tone the 58 set has.
One thing i will say is this proves the quality of Dr Nitro and 8bomb custom guitar and pickups. Excellent.
Thank you for your kind words 🙏
Your passion and enthusiasm is so addictive! I love your knowledge and experience and the humble way you share it with us. Best wishes my friend.
Thank you!
Javelin GT sounded so sweet! You have completely nailed it!
Thank you my friend!🙏
LOL! This Piper guy is hilarious! Constantly turning the knobs on the guitar when its not even plugged in! Giving the guy the "look" every time like "check out my mastery!" Your clone sounds really BIG and phat and you can tell he digs it for the big bark it has! 🤘😅🤘
Thank you. I understand how it looks in the video, and it can really lead to such thoughts, but still the context of this meeting completely changes the picture. Udo is a very sincere and open person with whom it is very easy to communicate. He is also enthusiastic and has a lot of experience communicating with music stars. At the same time, he knows very precisely what he is talking about and knows how to convey the feeling of the guitar. Stephanie Burst impressed him so much that she is now with him. He brought it to this meeting to also compare it with the original and was constantly amazed. Now he is my partner in Germany.
Great introduction, very heartfelt. Congratulations on achieving these goals. Very inspiring.👍
Thank you so much for this, and also to Herr Pipper. And to everybody involved in making this video happen! What a fantastic historical documentation and comparison.
Thank you. This is really cool.
@8BombCustom Maybe I should also have mentioned... :)
I think yours are better looking , and sound almost as magical as the original. Thank you again, my hat's off!
@@mikaso Thank you so much
Amazing job! Be proud of your incredible work! Looking forward to buying your pickups!
Thank you 🙏
my take on this is you do excellent work and Udo is a badass guitar player , really enjoyed that :)
Thank you for your kind words 🙏
I must say you've spent years perfecting your work and it really shines here. Mr. Pipper has an extraordinary amplifier that he's using also. The tone coming from those guitars and amp is truly awesome, it is "the" sound.
Thank you! Pipper Raptor is really amazing amp!
Love this video Dr. Nitro, your guitar sounded just as good or better than the real 59.
I thought so too! They sounded really good.. Maybe the pickups where a bit higher on the replicas or the They seemed to drive the amp more.. Also I wasn't in the room.. But great, really!
Love your channel.Your English is so much better now.Great job👍👍
Thank you
15.00 to 17.00 mins in is the deciding factor the burst has body and depth in all registers played ! The 57 gold to should have played not amplified also .. I believe 60 years of hardening of the bronze powder lays a thin metallic skin-on the top and adds to the sound!
Very nice video , thanks ❤
Thank you
Holymoly... thanks for sharing ✌🏻
Thank you
Yeahh ... Mr. Udo Pipper is a true bluesman playing three-finger performance technique 🥰.
Comparison was ... unbelievable, sometimes I couldnt guess what guitar is playing just now, so similar they sounded with this awesome cabinet! BTW "unplugged" checkin' was also wonderful, just splandour!
Your explorations are unique and so accurate! Congrats from the heart! ❤❤❤
Thank you Samantha for your kind words 🙏
Never hearded so fantastic sounding Replica of a Les Paul. Absolut outstanding 👌
Thank you 😊
очень вдохновляюще! awesome video, inspiring and motivating. Proud of you my brother ♥
Спасибо золото!
what a fantastic video have a wonderful day ❤😊
Thank you
I feel like I'm already in the perfect realm as a vintage re-limiter.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Amazing!!! the guitars are special ando this amp is... killer!!! complimenti!!
Thank you
Yours sounded just as good and looked better than the original
Thank you 👍
Congratulations ❤
Thank you
Bravo for your courage👏👏👏
Thank you 🙏
I've been watching your channel for a few years and I've never seen another builder come close to what you are achieving 👌 Absolutely fantastic and your guitar is easily comparable with the real thing imo 👍
Thank you for your support!
There is one in Germany, Bavarian Makeover, Florian Jaeger.
For me, both are fucking amazing. Much Far away than fake Murphy Lab
@@PichtelBranco-kc4yx Yes, Florian Jager makes good projects. I had the opportunity to get acquainted with his work in detail.
I took just enough German 30 years ago in high school combined with the universal language of guitar players to pretty much understand what was being said. All three gorgeous instruments and they all sounded incredible.
Thank you
Javelin sounds amazing ❤
Thank you bro 🙏
After this video I prefer goldies '57 rather than PAF's '59, but both of your guitars sounded as close as possibpe to the originals!! Well done Dr. NITRO!!! 🤟😃
Thank you 😊
I admit I love the sound of your guitars/pickups more than the original 59 LP.
This really put things in perspective for me. I know you make great pickups but man, this is another level and specter of colors you got there (if I may say so).
8bomb ->Javelin goldie -> 57gold -> 59lp
they all stand toe to toe, they're all very excellent and they're all doing their own sort of thing!
because at the end of the day the 50's and early 60's gibsons necks and pickups ect were all a little - to Very much different at times.
there are in fact taper neck 58's and there are big necked 60's. there are underwound and overwound PAF's because they were all by hand and they were wound to the key of : "That looks about right".
The fact that an 8ball is so good in similar company just means he's doing it right. it just depends at this stage in the game what You the player would want in an old guitar. that's what counts. They're different enough that you will find 50's gibsons you do and do not like 100%.
Love the video my friend.
Thank you for your support 🙏
I listened several times between the original lemon drop '59 and the Stephanie and much to my surprise Stephanie definitely hung in there!
The differences were minimal IMHO. and that is really good news if you ask me because i am not going to have $500K anytime soon!😁
There are two 59's on reverb right now for $450K! Ouch!
Thank you 🙏
I am Burst a guy but i have to admit i have heard a few old Gold tops that just scream and Bark like there is no tomorrow!
Great video! Your guitars sounds very similat to original, maybe originals have more harmonics and more volume in its sound. Keep on rockin'!
Thank you 👍
Hi, incredible sound and awesome work. Do you sell these guitars? What would be the price for such an 59'model? I'm asking for a friend ;-) I wish you all the best!

Too many beauties in one video 🙌🏻
Yes 😊😊😊 Thanks
👍👍🍺 amazing.
Thank you 👍
Алексей,у самурая нет цели только путь, но у тебя есть и путь и цель и ты к ней идешь семимильными шагами. Надеюсь, что когда нибудь у меня будет возможность поиграть на твоей гитаре!!
Спасибо
What amp it's that? Nice sounds
Pipper Raptor 18w. It's a realy awesom sounding amp.
Controversial feelings... At first glance 8Bomb sounds more clear, but then original guitar sounds tastier. I need to relisten and to rewatch tomorrow. Any ideas?
Thank you
16:00 By the way, an important point is that you still need to listen to the guitar without an amplifier to understand how good it really sounds. I always do this too =)
Exactly 👍
It really does! I'm amazed how bright the 1st strat from 8Bomb Custom sounds now even made of 5 pieces of wood. Magic!
Как говорится - ничего не понятно, но ооочень интересно!!
😄 Спасибо. Возможно мне помогут сделать субтитры на английском и ютюб их смижет перевести.
Hello, Dr. Nitro. I'm writing through a translator so that CZcams algorithms don't remember the "ru" segment. There was such a question. About 3 years ago, you talked about some kind of device that transferred vibrations to a guitar deck. this caused a resonance in the tree. How did the experiments with this gadget go? Can you remember its name? Thanks PS: I will send this message to spam under other videos, hoping for a quick response. Thanks again
Hi. Thank you. I have emailed you.
@@8BombCustom Thank you. can I continue my correspondence there if it doesn't take much time?

Молодец!
What amp is that?

lol u start talkin about how "someone can confuse this with modern reissues, but for me..." and I did not expect you to be younger than me. i'm not sure i understand, though. these are OBVIOUSLY superior to reissues, but the 2019-present VOS CS Reissues can look damn convincing in many finishes... personally, I prefer plan tops, a nice plain top can have plenty of unique grain that gives it a lot of personality. i think that's one thing the Gibons CS can do like nobody else... make those old finishes, make the guitars actually look (almost, ofc) as good as the originals.
i just wish it wasn't $5200 for a 58 VOS Reissue...
What pedal did he used?
I will definitely tell you in detail about this pedal in one of the following videos. It's truly amazing. Like the Amplifier.
I need this pedal ❤

First burst sounds the best. No contest
Thank you 🙏
Are you from lithuania?
I'm from Belarus
@@8BombCustom cool, so did they let you play the 59 or only look at it?
@@ilmisxx2 of course I played it. And not only 59. It was 53, 54, 55, 56, these two Lespauls and couple of strats.
@@8BombCustom cool, which were your favorites? That 57 is a monster to my ears
@@ilmisxx2 both 57 and 59 were wonderful. but in terms of wood resonance I liked 53 better.
Surprised by how fat and full the 57 sounded. usually those sound more like single coils, but not this one
Not all vintage 59er sound great.
It Would HELP if I COULD UNDERSTAND a WORD he SAID!
I work on this
I think your guitar sounds better than that 59 standard by a mile easy..
Thank you for your kind words
