Astoria Column Astoria, Oregon

Astoria Column was built in 1926 with the funding of the Great Northern Railroad and Vince Astor. It is 125 feet tall with 164 step spiral staircase. You can purchase a wooden airplane from the gift shop that you can throw off the top of the column to see how far it will fly.
