Just a girl with some tangles trying to tame them! It’s wash day and prior to cleansing my hair I wanted to try the new Just for Me Curl Peace Pre Poo.

The first time I used this Itghought it was great. It was a great detangler. A yaer later, a month or so ago I went to use it again and found it really defined my curls so I did not wash it out. I was able to go over a week. So, I use it as a wash & go with no other product.
That sounds great, what other product did you use it with? Was it another gel?
If we have this product as a child, it would have save so many of us who have received relaxer damage and not have the mom put a relaxer in our head as a child.
I love this prepoo. This prepoo is way better than the African Pride prepoo. I add fresh aloe vera gel to this pre8and get an enormous amount of slip. When I use my sulfate shampoo, my hair is still moisturized from the pre-poo. My hair is not striped or dry from the sulfate. shampoo.

I like the African Pride Aloe and Coconut Water pre-poo. It’s moisturizing and great for detangling.

The first time I used this product a few years ago, I used it on my natural hair it as it was attended for. Back in 2021 I straightened my hair for my birthday. I left it straight for about 2 months. the intention for using the product this time was to pre-poo before washing my hair. When I saw how much my hair was curling up I decided this would be a good wash and go or at least curl and go. It looked like I had done a wash and go. It was the best my hair looked in this "wash & go type " style since I have gone natural. I swear by this product even as just a straight detangle before a wash.

thats called shrinkage, it means your hair is healthy. Usually heavier products help elongate
Keep the hair stretched (twists, braids, Bantu knots) it will help with the hair being elongated.

So
I came across this product on the drugstore shelf....never seen it before nor heard any reviews. I bought it because my daughter's thick and gorgeous hair has NOT been fully detangled since February because she cries nearly all the time. I do her hair soaking wet, with conditioner for slip and another detangler that used to work, but she just fusses or blinks back tears. I don't want her to hate her hair, so I comb it just enough to be a cool style without stressing her out. I honestly don't even know the true length of her hair and it is beginning to be difficult to manage. I am on the hunt to find what works because her hair is awesome and I need her to love it as part of her whole self!
i’m 16 years old & i was the same way when i was younger. i was a tenderheaded kid but speaking from a kid’s pov, let her grow into her hair. i’ve learned from my mistakes of wanting my hair straightened & got heat damaged which i now regret lol. just ease her into her lovely curls. she’ll soon realize how much power her hair holds. 😁
Hey Steff, you have Gorgeous Hair and I love how this product performed in your hair. I mainly use oils such as grapeseed (extremely moisturizing) or I use a diy oil mixture- it depends how what my hair needs at the time. I'm a new subbie and I have a diy pre poo on my channel if you care to watch. Hopefully we can stay connected and grow together.

I love this product, however On the yuka app, it rates 45 out of 100. So bad ingredients. The just for me tea tree biotin rates 100 out of 100.
I just bought this line for my daughter's hair !! cant wait to try it but i didn't get this however im going back to get it though . but do you wash this out before shampooing or do you kinda just go ahead with a regular routine after applying this?

Can this be used a styler??
Good question... I am not sure. I haven’t tried it that way.
I wish one of these companies would create a styler based off these pre-poo formulas. I get so much definition and weight to my hair when I use the african pride pre-poo
It will build up on your hair because of all the detangling ingredients.
