So nice to see someone who supports and isn't threatened by his wife's success.
He can be threatened if he wanted to and not be a 2nd Gentlemen at all/any more.
Only a fool would call him a beta for being kind, considerate, and supportive. I'm happy for them both.

His willingness to give up a very high pay high status job to support his wife spoke volumes. He has been a true gentleman and great partner, at least from what's been made public.

He's supportive of his wife and doesn't seem jealous at all, they seem to have a real deal loving relationship like the Bidens and former President Obama and Michelle. I used to love seeing the way they would look at each other 😊 so sweet and I hope the girls well young ladies are doing great😊

He's set SUCH a high bar for future Second Gentlemen. It is so awesome to have a Second Gentleman who is so darn nice and productive in his duties and so supportive and clearly loving of his wife. A Gentleman in every sense of the word!

I admire his strength of character, his love for his wife and his enthusiasm for supporting her dream and the country.
Look how he always addresses the audience. He is cute, funny, self deprecating and very supportative and second fiddle to his vice president wife. He ties to be a normal person and be authentic😀
Wow! It’s so refreshing to listen to this man of genuine integrity and compassion. The difference in lawyers associated with republicans compared to lawyers surrounding democrats is night and day. A true professional! I love him! 🇺🇸💙⚖️

Douglas Emhoff was delightful to listen to. Unpretentious and easy to like. And I especially appreciated that he spent most of the time directing his answers to the audience instead of soley to Stephen. He acknowledged the audience and included them in the conversation, instead of letting them watch a conversation between Stephen and him, which is what usually occurs in these guest interviews.

The first husband married to our first female Aussie Prime Minister ( kinda equivalent ) Julia Gillard, was known as the ' First Bloke ' here - it was sooooo Aussie ❤️❤️ & he was great - just like Dougie 🤣❤️❤️

Emhoff is a gem and a gentleman who obviously cares deeply about not only his wife but the tremendous role she plays in the future of our country. Please let us see more of him! His humble, sincere approach to life as well as a great sense of humor, like that of his wife, makes him a great asset to Harris campaign. He brings more fresh wind to the democratic sails.

This is not at all necessary in order to succeed in the job of president or vice president, but I really enjoy the warm and genuine relationship both the Bidens and the Harris's seem to have. No negotiating of prenups to make a supportive appearance, I'm pretty sure! It's lovely.

I’m watching this after the announcement that Kamala Harris would be the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for President. I don’t think one can over estimate the importance of Doug Emhoff as a role model for young men. To see someone who is accomplished in his own right willingly give up his career to support his wife is great, particularly with the misogyny that often comes from male politicians

Great to see the Second Gentleman really is a gentleman. Not enough of those around these days. Hope it all goes as smoothly as it can.
In a way, he is following two other persons, who had to leave their prior careers to support their spouse in a high-ranking position in Washington:
Martin Ginsburg, who ended his successfull career as a tax lawyer in NY and started teaching at Georgetown Law Center, where Doug Emhoff is also teaching.
Jill Biden, who was the first second lady to actually work parallel to her duties as a second lady.

He seems so likeable & genuine. It was interesting hearing the behind the scenes stuff he had to learn. I really enjoyed his DNC speech too. I've never heard a speech like it.
