Sitting at his desk with that building falling down around him, it looks like that old guy lost his mind back in the fifties
Their both off there rocker
No is not . He just a different breed .
It’s very strange though. It looks like one of those abandoned buildings
He was ready to meet a customer to sell a car
If they loved the cars why didn't they take better care of them.
David Day fr
Same reason they didnt prune the showroom. Hillbillys.
They talk all the time about how things like this are survivors, because they survived scrap yards and destruction.
This....this video explains why these vehicles are actually dying.
Owners that hold onto a memory. At the cost of the actual thing that created the memory.
Expecting someone else will pay them, in excess, for making the job of saving them even harder than before.
Its sad...very sad.
Because they're crazy people.
My thought exactly
I hate these people that call themselves "car guys" Who would rather see it rot then sell it to someone who would restore it.
well i think anyone that love cars could consider themselves a "car guy" to an extent ... i understand where you're coming from ... i think they know what they have and they are sitting on their hands till the right buyer comes alone ... but to have it in the open to the car can rust and get swallowed up by the elements is CRAZY in my opinion ...
If you can't do the work yourself then you aren't a car guy. You are just someone who pays someone else to do the work.
but the guy you sell it to isnt gonna restore it either. he says “oh yeah im gonna fix it one day”
Yes, it is unreasonable. Hoarders, those cars will just rust away until they're both dead.
yup, then the next generation will be smart and sell them off...
They treat them like junk until someone is interested... Then it is a ridiculous high price they ask for.
Yup, they saw rich famous guys coming a mile away and prepped their price and game..TV and all 😂
I live 10 minutes from here. I live in Belfast next to Pikeville where the dealership is.....I’m depressed to report that this building can barely be seen anymore. The brush has won its deadly course
If possible I think it would be cool to see if this building is still around today. Post some videos or photos
@@pajerofan22 you can’t even see it from the road anymore. All you can see are some of the front line cars. They let the building become too overgrown
@@projectdriven4493 thats a shame, any Nash healeys left u think?
@@pajerofan22 they are all gone
@@pajerofan22 Stapleton42 on YT just posted he will have a video coming up about this dealership soon...he filmed it today 2022 03 01
these guys don't want to sell anything. 30000 for a pile of rust you got to be kidding
Debt will make you think stupid things. Lol
Mike can enjoy any situation
Dark, dirt, rain, storm doesnt matter 😃
Just wow. If these guys had kept these cars In a decent building and cleaned them like twice a year they would be worth so much more. Kinda crazy how they are totally fine with letting these classic cars just rot away.
He could had sold just one of them years ago
Take that money and build a spacious garage for all of hi cars and he could had saved himself a lot of money
But most people let their depresion get in the way
Or just are to stubborn to sell amd rather let them rot
He just realized they wore roting so might as well sell them
He said 30k for a car that the forest was about to claim
Maybe they're charging extra for the foliage.
Yeah but there rare asf
A request to american pickers team please show us all the cars and bikes restoration process please it's a humble request to the team
They dont restore them. They have people for that. Watch a different show
They're Pickers, they don't actually restore cars. If possible, they'll get 'em to run on their own power, put new tires, clean 'em a wee bit, and then sell 'em to someone that will restore 'em.
Miss and love this show
That dealership is like time just stopped
No just the maintenance on everything.
... make 'em run again PLEASE!
& thanks for video documentation
'Roadworthy Rescues' was at this place, too.
If they are aware that these cars are expensive, why do these owners always seem to allow these cars to set out in the elements? In this case out in the woods overgrown by brush.
He coyld had sold just one
Take that money ti build a spacious garage and he could had saved so much years ago
They are hoarders! My father is the exact same way no use trying to make sense of it They are who they are lol
It took 2 years but Mike made this a runner. Keep the patina and a new interior.
Do you have the video?
What a mess ! Yard / shop needs some cleaning / clearing ! cover the cars, sad the AMX in the shop as celling plaster on the hood etc.
I live 10 minutes from here.....it’s much worse since they were there in 2014
The AMX at 0:28 was just sold this year. The new owners looked up the title history and contacted the owner who sold it in 1992 to these guys, and that former owner is a relative of mine. The pictures I saw from this year show it sitting in a build where the roof had caved in on it, and clearly things had devolved a bit from when this was filmed.
There was a nash Healey in the original movie Sabrina with Bogart and Hepburn.
The "Grey Gardens" of auto collector videos
Sad to see cars that were running being forgotten about and turning to rust
Im happy to see at least 2 of the cars got sold so that someone can enjoy them.I hate to see nice cars rotting away.
That tow truck guy is like "this was not the deal there's no way im coming back tomorrow yall are nuts, also you owe me 4-5 hours worth of pay." Lol
Awesome episode!
Alright Bobby! It’s Robby! Robby. Lol
Completely baffled by what I just saw..
I love these guys they are truly honest and passionate and really appreciate the stuff they find.
hky Dangles you’re funny. The only thing that they’re truly passionate about is money.
So...if you clearly have enough time on your hands, and a lot of space, why wouldn’t you keep them all inside?
Or at least cut back the growth and grass. Sheesh.

"I got a 1991 Chevy s10. Holes in the roof, frame bent, motor leaks oil, needs a new trans. Brand new tires, brakes, and wipers. Fun to drive. $25k no low balls. l know what I got."
This word "Equivalent"...I don't think it means what you think it means...lol
You're comparing a dime-a-dozen pickup truck to a super rare classic. I'm not saying the Nash was worth that, but you're comparing apples to onions here 🤷♂️
nice nash sport coupes!!
Cool cars!
Can anyone help me out here? They're in the situation where they have $30,000 sat in a forest, clearly not in a hurry to sell, what?? Why how etc...
Awesome pick!!!!!
Better outside in a field than crushed at the scrapyard.
those tha ppl that think they can take it with them when their dead smh
Very cool car's
Magnificent cars. Bungling owners and "collectors?" Not so much.
If I knew where they lived I would buy an AMX or an SST if I can get it at the right price.....Had a 1969 SST I got from my doctor, then I got married, she says we don't need that. Sold it a worse mistake I ever made. Oh got rid of her three years later.
Ralph Christ bro u already know the rules for a car guy always car first then wife smh I feel bad for u man
Live and learn
@@Slowhand871 Tell me something I don't know
Ralph Christ ....I've got a similar story about my 1964 VW Notchback, it had dual carbs, 5spd race tranny, lowered with disc brakes, Wolfsburg chrome package, all that, and my now ex-wife hated air cooled VW's, so she talked me into sellin it...to a guy who bought it for his derelict kid, who then turned around and totaled it into a light pole...I'll never forgive myself for sellin that car...
Hey man the dealership they went too is in Pikeville North Carolina. I drive past it all the time. They actually have a facebook page if you want to talk to the son. The dad died back in 2018

This is a Real deal.
Paperworks?
Guns of August
It would be nice if they can really open to the public like Maple Motors in TN, but judging by the video it's gona be a titanic task to achieve their glory days back again. It's so sad to view those cars get rotten in their own dealership.
30 k i'd buy myself a Corvette
The office needs trimmed
A senior citizen tow truck driver. That's a scary sight.
Cars sold from a Hobbits showroom at the Shire
So sad man
What's the point????
Plz just let the ppl take care of the cars
Pls update on youtube after restoration
That car was in the movie Sabrina
How much are the cars valued at?
In good condition 100k. My guess is they will just flip them with nothing more than a little cleaning and 2k in towing. Prob make 5-7k per car after costs.
aftermath vid?
2020 in microcosm ... sitting at a desk in a 'jungle' and trying to be normal in completely abnormal situation.
This is fine
I think that was staged
Pawn stars would pay 10k
Hording at it's best
Robbie or Bobbie?!?
👍👍👍👍
Should've bought the roadster 🤷🏻♂️
why would he leave the red one behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You bought Junk theres prospective projects then theres junk,
Gonna cost more to restore those than what they can sell them for. Bad deal.
BMW bike ?
i am sorry to say but that building needs to be condemned.
.... sitting in the middle of poison ivy..... wtf !!
Very strange guys
Not worth it
If you guys knew how radioactive that rain is, you wouldn't stand in it like that...
This guys is such a clown nobody wants rusty cars they want them fully refurbished!
People buy old cars to restore them, not every car from the mid 50s is going to look immaculate 60 years later. There's a whole business with restoring old cars and let's just say a lot of money goes into it
Good luck making money off those ha.
You know nothing about automobiles. If you did, you wouldn't post an idiot remark like this.
they kept one and sold the other one and make a huge profit on the gray
they sold gray one with 20k profit and now sold another one with 11k profit
Because there are thousands and thousands of Nash Healey's available, right? When's the last time you saw one of these cars on the road anywhere? Hahaha
Mike is not the nice guy he pretends to be on TV. He is always expecting his customers to be nice and generous with there time but when I called Mike on his cell phone after my Dad passed away he was not concerned that I was looking for information on a Indian race bike that my dad use to race in the late 50's. I called him because he claims to collect Indian bikes and I really thought he could help me know what the bike was by the pictures I sent him. The only thing he was concerned with was what website had his info it. SO he wanted info from me but did not reciprocate by helping me out at all. He just ghosted me. I never called him or texted him again out of professional curtesy. I just thought it was a total d--k move. He only cares about him self and what he can make. No longer a fan of Mike Wolfe
I mean you dug deep for his personal cell phone number and then started asking for info like youve known him from way back.
Im gonna run a scenario with you that I do when I have computer clients who aren't getting it. Lets say instead of Mike Wolfe being who he is its YOU, you're the man with the knowledge and tv show. Its Tuesday afternoon you're going over some things for your business and you get a call. You don't recognize the number and you're kinda a celebrity so its strange and there are lots of wackos out there. You go ahead and answer and this guy starts asking you about Indian motorcycles and then the dude starts sending you pictures via text! Now you're like what in the world first off how did this guy get my number and why is he blowing up my text with pictures???? This guy is strange and has gone out of his way to find my personal number. So you go look dude I need to know where you got the number from but the other guy just keeps going on that his dad passed away and is sending pictures. So you hang up and block the guys number.
That was you to Mike Wolfe. He doesn't exist to be your personal information giver. Next time A. do the research yourself and B. If you MUST speak with him go through the proper channels.
