This was the first time I heard any of them say, "You take an item to a pawn shop, don't expect to sell it for full retail." The Old Man was an icon! RIP.
Listen to what he said again, he was talking about customers who go to a pawn shop looking to buy something cheaper than what they could find at a retail store or dealer, which is why Corey responded again with the whole "[what does it matter] he's buying it for hi himself anyway"
@@Fister_of_Muppets you are correct, but really it applies to both
Mooi
@@acidhendrix it does make sense. You know they have to make money bruh. Why would they buy something, and sell it for the same price?
No really never knew that about pawnshops
Rip to the old man. He really did love his cars
My Haven one of my favorite reasons I loved him, even tho this show was always pretty fake he seemed the most legit no matter what
He did indeed love his cars and he loved his silver.
Cars and silver indeed he loved but I feel he loved his cars more so as he loved things from his past with them more so that he would be willing to keep for himself with the option of sales if he opted too. Where silver he had no real bond with other than making decent money with.
He was a legend. Rip
@@CatAttack6471 agreed, always loved him and chumlee. Both seemed like the most genuine business ppl
"The fact is that I'm the boss and whatever I say goes"
Spoken like the true Boss he was. RIP Old Man.
I was thinking the same thing, say what you want about the old man but he really was "The boss" haha
The old mans comebacks were always on point even for his age. what a slick, cool man.
Won't be another like him...rip.
I love the old man. I always did. There's an air of honesty and simplicity around him !!
RIP
Silent generation people. Plus hard workers.
@@oberon79 yes exactly the old man reminds me of my grandma she is 89 and turning 90 soon and we are going to throw her a big birthday party witch she hasn't had a birtday party in quite a while so it will be fun!
Clown happy birthday to her!
@@clown3654 I would like to attend the party if that's not too much trouble?
@@clown3654 Happy Birthday to her mate. Hope you all are fine in covid time
@4:49 “I’m the boss and what I say goes” the old man is a legend
Back in my day we had to walk 100 miles to school in the winter, barefoot. ― The Old Man
“I’m the boss. And whatever I say goes.”
They just don’t make em like they used to...
Is it just me, or the Old Man actually gave customers a good deal? Rick would of low balled him the most.
Some of its probably to do with his old age, he might not be that generous when he was Rick's age.
He is just a nice guy
Cheapo Rick would have said 10k and not a dime more.
@@pauldavis5665 well thats how business works
From 30k to 18k🤣🤣🤣
Honestly it surprises me these cars don’t go for more
Here's the thing. My father restored a 1930 Model A ford roadster back in the sixties. He was a WWII vet and these cars are what he remembered from his youth. Todays collectors are often baby boomers. They grew up in the sixties. Now they want muscle cars from that era. And that is why the thirties stuff is not as valuable. Just imagine if this were a '70 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda!
Scooter George Oh yeah that explains it. It’s understandable too in that sense.
@@adam100a8 - Make sense? I do that every once in a while... but not too often! ; ) Anyway, I went with my father to a meeting of the Model A Ford club of America, San Fernando Valley Chapter circa 1967. It was at the Galpin Ford dealership. On the showroom floor was a shiny new 427 AC/Shelby Cobra. "I just said"WOW!" Dad replied, "We're not here for that!" He probably never dreamed that the Shelby would on day be worth more than a Model A.
@@scootergeorge9576 also to be fair the repairs some people have to end up doing to some of these cars is like worth a whole other car in of itself as is with any old piece of technology they only last so long till you need to start pumping money into it to keep it alive
I mean 18,000$ is a lot considering that the equal amount to that in 1933 was 920$
Customer: I have a heart attack call 911
Rick: Best I can do is 9
😂
Conbro098 stolen comment
rick would only do 1... and he'd sigh for about 10min first.
Wtf 🤣🤣
@@antsan04 I'm glad he stole the comment, because for me it's the 1st time i'm seeing it. I wouldn't see this joke if he didn't steal it, because who knows where is the original comment.... Jokes are meant to be shared, i bet you tell jokes that you read and heard from somewhere else.
RIP Old man. Got to love the guy he was a no nonsense personality for sure. Now days people like him are a rare breed. I hope as I age I become just a cranky and just half as successful as him. It was a pleasure to just get a glimpse of his life. Thanks for the memories.
“I’m thinking if it went to auction it would be closer to 30 but... yeah well Then you pay the auction fees and you’re down to 22” CLASSIC OLD MAN
And now he got down to 18. Missed secured 4 grand in there.
3:38 Lmao look at Corey trying to talk about how to keep the shop running. The old man is literally the reason Corey is here😂😂
its just a banter for cameras.
True. Corey is just lucky to be his grandson. Otherwise, he may be working at McDonald’s lol
We miss you old man
RIP old man miss ppl from that generation simple straight to the point no bullishit we need more of that nowadays
“If a frog had wings he won’t bump his arse hopping” teared me up laughing 😂
now I'm going to try and use that phrase in a conversation.
At his age money actually doesn't matter. The memories in the car does.
Old man was the best part of this show. He was the only one that seemed like he wasn't acting. Rest well. 🖤
When he said “let me call in a buddy” I thought he’d just bring in the old man to appraise it.
Watching the old man making deals is incredibly satisfying for a change
This show should be called .. "do you mind if I call a buddy of mine up?"
@Banks the halo great for real, I see this comment on every pawn stars video I watch with people acting like it's their own genius idea
Yeah its impossible to know everything
Or, "Phone a friend"
Old Man always cuts to the chase by being brutally blunt. What a legend!
-yes indeed,, a legend in his own mind.
Fact is, I'm the boss and whatever I say goes.
"If I crash it it's bad if you crash it it's really bad"
"One sweet car" -Old man Harris
I would’ve sent him home as soon as he said no test drives
“The fact is I’m the boss and what I say goes” - RIP Old Man🙏thanks for all the years of entertainment
I miss the old man the show I feel sufferers a little bit with him gone 😥 RIP Mr. Harrison
Rick is great, but sure do miss the Old Man. He just had a manner about and of him that can't be copied. When he stopped being on the show I dreaded knowing that he was about gone. RIP.
Miss the old man. He had knowledge.
Old Man: Whoa! Is that the new Plymouth? Nice.
miss the old man R.I.P
One thing that the crew sure does love seperately is the old man has great taste in old cars, rick has his old books, corey has his bikes, and chum has his sneakers.
Everything is right except for Rick and books. Maybe Rick and world history objects
He always had a expert come in for books
Rip old man
I love original cars because they are so rare, especially one of this vintage. You really get the feeling of what the car was back in its day.
Nice touching, sentimental moment. Between an elderly gentleman and an old car. RIP, Richard Harrison ( 1941-2018 )
Old man was really a cool cat
Man I miss the old man! It's the dedications & struggles that brings you here! A legacy in the pawn business! Always gonna be missed but most importantly loved & remembered forever old man!
The old man bought cars like I buy computer parts 😂

When you ask ya girl if she want anything to eat and she say no but then u get ur food she start pickin at it and askin for some
One of my big pet peeves when I go on a date
I miss the old man. Rip og.
Gotta give it to the old man he knew how to live his life to the fullest. I'm sure they sold his car collection though and stuff that was meant for the shop in the first place.
Man I love that car, I always wanted a rumble seat
old man: this was my first car, I want it.
“Whatever I say goes” greatest quote ever
Mr. Harrison was a Master Negotiator.
One of the best I have seen.
That Old Man was a real gentleman and very fair for a pawn shop owner. You cannot help but to think he is a all around great guy. RIP. His son Rick is nothing short of spoiled rotten.
Love the Old Man, RIP.
It was nice to see the old man!!!! O miss him. Thanks.
The old man was so cool. I watch these videos over and over with him in the videos. RIP OLD MAN
his face when he said he wasnt going to let him drive it lmaoooo
I love my coffee cup that was autographed by the old man. When I go negotiate something I tap into his no nonsense vibe by using it.....
I ril miss oldman... Rest in paradise...🙏🏽💐
4:46 is it just me that got scared by his face 😂
DON'T TALK ABOUT THE OLD MAN THIS WAY lol
i had a little heart attack
Don’t disrespect him like that
Old man was the only guy old enough ik that can call other old men "Son" or a grandma "young lady" RIP 😭
Spent what I make in a year after taxes on a car in 5 minutes, the American dream is alive.

RIP Old man! We will miss you
The old man has a great taste in cars, I love these old mechanical beasts from 30s and 40s. Rest in peace old man Harrison.
"What I say goes" As it should old man. RIP
Still love the show-as I am a history buff big time-in fact I have no interest in gambling but if I ever went to Vegas the only thing I would really want to do is visit the Gold and Silver Pawn. Rick is clearly the star-his knowledge of history is astounding. But I do miss the wit and wisdom of his dad, “the Old Man”. He was like the “special sauce” that gave the show a certain zip or zestiness that is now gone.
Rick researches the subject before the show is recorded to reveal a few google facts and figures. As to values, he invariably asks a friend of his to inspect and value it....I don’t know what makes them an expert valuer though.
Awesome video 😊
I like the way the Old Man referred to a guy who looks well into his 60's as "son" 😂 he' really is the Old Man.
The old man's a icon he made this show ! We all miss him
" fact is I'm the boss. And whatever I say goes." Yes sir...
Old man is legendary status
Love the OldMan ❤️R.I.P.
The old man knows his stuff.🎩
man I just figured out that the old man has passed away and I've been crying for 40 minutes
The Old Man knew how to live life to its fullest he loved his business and his family. That's STONE COLD!
RIP Old Man....hope we all can see your collection
Love the old man.He doesnt fallow that "Customer is always right" mess.Straight out cool & blunt.
Never sell to a pawn dealer, unless you can get on TV and make an appearance fee.
I always got a kick out of how EVERYONE hated Rick yet loved the Old Man!!! Classic!!!
That seller couldn't suppress his smile when he agreed to $18,000.
Miss the old man. Loved em old vehicles ❤️😅
The old man said it right, you dont come to a pawn shop and demand the full price
We all miss you old man!!!
Love that old man. RIP
Also RIP to the man selling the Plymouth. He was my step dad and passed 7 years ago to cancer.
Nice to see the old man doing business like only he can. Cool Cat!
I miss him. The grandpa we all wished we had.
This car really describes old man.Rare, old, unique and classic!

The "ole man" was pretty savvy.
Old man got his way, R.I.P
R.I.P the old man
The Old Man was the best. RIP
Love you old man❤
Old man told him upfront and straight! You brought it to a pawn shop!
When he wouldn't let the mechanic drive it, that immediately sent up a red flag with me.
I'm glad the old man got in the right business all those new episodes back in the day I was always waiting for someone to bring him a car to look at.
he is selling like a used car not a 33 roadster
Man i miss the old man he is the definition of a BOSS what he wants he gets R.I.P he reminds me of my grandpa R.I.P Nicholas Fuentes miss you grandpappa
Corey: it’s coming out of ur bank account
Old man: son ur bank account is my bank account
The old man and my grandpa had the same saying about frogs having wings
LOL the old man suddenly showed up out of nowhere
Long live "The Old Man!!"
Im 20 years old and I would only fix the carb. Love this car, and it belongs in a museum someday.
