thanks bro it worked, I thought i had a bad battery because it was not showing that it was taking a charge but I tried the trick and it turned back on with 88 percent battery life thanks.

couldnt get it to work but i kept pressing the same buttons and it says android is starting and optimizing apps. but no change and back to asking for pin. also pressing up and power makes it go into safemode. so there is a pattern and the buttons do something just cant find pattern for reset

another friend who has the same phone did some searching. found out from a possible kyocera rep that the repair partition was removed from these phones way back then wich is why we cant access factory restore. no way to inject it back so they are toast,best to find another phone.

on the cricket version, holding only the power button simply keeps rebooting the phone. holding only the down volume button boots the phone in safe mode. the up volume button does nothing as far as i can tell. then again, i'm chinese, so what do i know.

+Jesse Moreno I did a hard reset on my Stylo 2 after the 7.0 nougat update and it helped some, but not enough to really matter, but it's always worth a try.

I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I was going through my old phones, and I have the same exact exact model, but apparently the screen is busted however, I can’t turn it off! I tried holding the power down etc
Is there a way I can power it off by holding buttons? Like I said, the screen busted up pretty good. I can’t see anything the most I can see is the top right corner, barely and it has a full battery.
Unfortunately if you hold down the power button... It'll just reboot itself.
And without the screen it's about impossible to navigate through the hard reset settings to power it off. Unfortunately I don't know of any other way.

It's because it's on a CDMA network. Most Countries other than the US use the GSM network. Also this is a Boost Mobile device that worked on the Sprint network, which is officially gone now.

i have a c6743 model its not working
When I hold both volume down and power button it never vibrates but regardless I let go of volume button then press it back down and still nothing. 😞
It just doesn't work for me. It will vibrate on it only hold down power button but when holding volume as well it don't vibrate and don't go.....

Trust me I did exactly same as you. Hold volume down button and power at same time. Release volume down when "feel vibrate" (I never felt) but any ways I release then put finger back on when screen turned black but still nothing. 😔😔😔

Mine just don't vibrate. It only does it if only holding down power not the volume and power. 🤔
I tried to 1st hold down power and feel vibrate then hold the volume and try trick it but couldn't and regardless nothing works. I been pushing power and volume up and down for like 3 month now. 😂
Im having the same issue. I did a hard reset + a Google frp bypass on a ZTE sonata 3 within 30 minutes yesterday but this stupid hydro has been giving me issues for a week now

Unfortunately I don't have that device, so I can't show how to do that.
I can't factory reset my kyocera hydro view. The way they tell me to do it is, " shut off phone, Press power and down volume buttons until the recovery screen shows up." The recovery screen part doesn't work on my phone. Can I get any advice or help on this problem. I would be pleased if I get any help on this situation. Thank You.
Same as my situation, I pressed as it rebooted like 5 times then set it down not sure if that is how but got something that looks like it might be resetting. never got a screen to select factory reset.
