Great video Paul. Been watching this in 2 parts as had a bit of a bad week. I remember picking up Uss Ind in a charity shop in Woking and that had no slip either. I went to a charity shop in East Whittering last week and brought a PlayStation game for 50p and it’s worth £14 in CeX 😃, so you guys have taught me a lot as would never have looked before. So bloody true about what you said about Amazon!!

I've returned stuff using that Evri option and left it to the post office to package it. They don't put it in a jiffy bag, they put it in a grey plastic bag that doesn't protect it from anything other that the rain. After returning a number of items that way I had an email from Amazon saying that a number of items I'd returned had been returned damaged. Of course they were! The option YOU told me to use wouldn't protect anything from anything, so of course they were damaged by the time they got to you.

That dint might have happened in the factory, that's the problem with steelbooks.
Very annoying, you are definitely on a bad run at the moment with steelbook deliveries. Had a bumper week for new additions. Got the Wonka steelbook from HMV, the Avatar Collectors Edition (Amazon) and the three Sony Steelbook re-issues that have Dolby Vision encodes (Godzilla, Stand by me and Guns of Navarone). Hopefully, this means we may also get Black Hawk Down and some of the other recent re-issues from Sony. Let us know what you think of the Avatar digipack when it comes as it would be great to get your thoughts on how to best protect those discs..thx
USS Indianapolis is a decent film and their story is the one referenced in JAWS.

Since the backing was on the steel book and it was shrink wrapped is it possible that it was not Amazon’s fault but the manufacturer?
It’s more likely it’s Royal Mails fault, but most of the blame lands on Amazon for using crap packaging

Shame about Wonka. I ended up with both steelbooks because I liked both. By images online i preferred amazons cover. But in person the chocolate box is beautiful. Embossed artwork, glossy and the edges are golden. Really worth getting if you can

They're not "catchphrases" (wtf?) they're quotes from reviews and they are especially handy for lesser-known films to attract the attention of browsers to encourage them to purchase.

Got a bug bear with Amazon and probably gonna get some commenting saying your fkn stupid but ordered Wonka Yesterday and they took my 14.99, so last night it got delivered, was birthday so having a takeaway, went to open it and it was bastard 4k, have got a 4k player but my mam wanted to borow it, the mother in law did aswell so stuck with a 4k for 14.99 and cant borrow it to anyone.
tickets to c2c are a bit cheaper than £250

My friend worked on Wonka and said that timothèe was a complete a**hole.
I've not seen the movie, but he said one time he was kicking off as he wanted time off to go skiing and he smashed some prop that took over 6months to make, some sort of mystery box with various compartments, not sure what it was called but it put production back by a few months 🙄
Blu-ray Monday with Big Pauly or What You Might Be Able To Do If Your Wonka Is Wankered!
Have to agree with you on the Dream Scenario box as though I’m not quite at your level of fastidious regarding perfect, unblemished packaging I do think this is, quite simply, fuck ugly. The picture of Nic Cage looks crappy Photoshop quality anyway but the surplus of stars and soundbite reviews make everything so cluttered that were I not aware of the film prior to release it certainly wouldn’t have caught my eye in any positive way. Shame as it’s a terrific film and, in my opinion, easily one of Cage’s best recent films with a far more subdued performance that recalls his superb role(s) in Adaptation, a film this reminded me a lot of with is Kaufman-esque deadpan humour and logic. It’s not for everyone though but is more thoughtful, intriguing and emotional than other recent fare including Renfield which I found hugely overrated. I’d put it up with Pig as one of those pleasant surprises you don’t quite know what to expect but are ultimately rather moved by the whole thing. Very impressed, though I’d have liked some extra features along with better packaging but, as I’ve mentioned before, too many big studio releases skimp on bonus features despite hyping up “30 minutes of bonus footage!” or suchlike …
… as for Wonka I was, again, pleasantly surprised and though it didn’t reach the giddy heights of the Paddington films was still utterly charming with some great songs by Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy (Big Divine Comedy fan here since the Nineties plus seen Neil live 5 times … easily one of the best modern lyricists and musicians but that’s another matter!) a great cast and enough charm to shrug off the cynicism of whether we actually need a Wonka prequel. Huge Grant was fun if grossly underused with slightly shonky CGI, Rowan Atkinson felt wasted and the third act didn’t quite reach the heights of the previous two but it was fun, innocent, charming, frothy, funny and sweet which sometimes is exactly what you need! Just a shame Paul King isn’t returning for Paddington 3 …
… and that’s about it. Maybe try not to fret too much about your slips and steelbooks or, as Tyler Darden says, they’ll end up owning you. But hey, we don’t talk about that, do we?

@@BigPauly not a problem, every one's mileage is different. I only have small things delivered to a locker. Damage is near unheard of,
