Now that I'm thinking about it, we don't see too many insects or critters like we did in Florida. We had screens in Florida and always had spiders and lizards getting inside. 🤔 Yes, the kids are adjusting well. They LOVE it here! 😍
South Africans eat scones with jam & cream but homemade scones are more nicer when eaten plain with tea or coffee because they are dense sweet pastries. My 1st time hearing meat (pastrami) & mayo being eaten with scones though. Fried eggs are really good especially with Aromat.

Gauteng is inland so it's very dry. Your skin will even crack in Winter so lotion is very important here. The cities at the coast though are quite humid. Durban is super humid. The air is very dense there. One small jog and you'll be sweating buckets. It's amazing in Winter though because it doesn't get extremely cold.
Nivea is the best just add glycerin to it for winter, that's how I use it in winter then warm weathers I don't add it because I don't get dry in warm weather.
Pawpaws have a yellow flesh and papayas are orange. They're from the same family though. We used to have only pawpaws here in SA, but Woolies loves to introduce varients of things we already have and then other supermarket chains usually follow the trend. I noticed that we now have orange sweet potatoes in SA, when we used to have only white sweet potatoes.
