As far as I can see, this baby has been restored back to it's former glory. When these cars were built back in 1963 they were deemed as too powerful for the street, which means that they were too powerful for the average Joe to get to and from work in one piece while the race care driver handled the car quite well. Chrysler discontinued the 426 Superstock engine in 1964 after realizing that it was too powerful on the street.
