Vietnam's Best Buffets: Saigon's Top Lobster and Seafood Buffets Get Better and Better!

- I just can't believe it! The buffets in Vietnam just keeps getting better and better. In Saigon, I had a chance to visit La Brasserie Restaurant at @hotelnikkosaigon728 for their Seafood buffet dinner and it was amazing. I thought it was the best buffet in Saigon, but lough and behold, I got a chance to visit the Saigon Café at Sheraton Saigon and it did not disappoint.
It's making it difficult to figure out which buffet is the best in Saigon, but that is certainly something nice to figure out! Great lobsters, seafood, and meats with traditional Vietnamese fare made to order of course, and the exceptional hospitality offered at Saigon Café. As best as I can, I tried to sample all the dishes there but to no avail... just too many to try and even just the stand out dishes were too much to mange in the best possible way. It's so very difficult to make the call... what do you think?

I travel and enjoy all the wonderful meals with you. I am 73 and in a wheelchair so my adventures are limited. But being taken along with you gives me joy. I see how much you enjoyed this buffet. There was so much deliciousness, it was hard to choose. You work each plate so beautifully. Wonderful! …. I was concerned about your forehead after the tree branch swiped you. I know they have great buffets onboard. Mr. Lee's videos are as close to a buffet as I'll ever get. It's been over 20 years since I was at one in person.

I spoke with the Vietnamese Brotherhood and they all agree that Tim is the national pride of Vietnam.
The seaweed is actually Sea Grape and very delicious. I can see where that tree gave you a little scratch but you're lucky that was all. Everything looks delicious. I love how your channel is mostly about Buffets. My favorites are the Seafood.

That buffet looked amazing! I was really impressed by the presentation of the sashimi - not sure how they were able to make all of those great designs with it! And I have never seen shrimp that big before!

What a wonderful buffet ! There are so menu awesome seafood dishes, the lobster looks delicious 🤤 but the desserts looked really fantastic. Very nice Saigon buffet Tim thanks for sharing.
Thank you Tim Sai Gon Cafe at Sheraton Saigon brought back good memories of pre COVID days . It was our go to place when we were visiting Sai Gon annually . However these days we shift to other hotels - The Reverie as the rooms in the Sheraton rooms become somewhat dated

The banh mi place he went to is amazing!! The sandwiches are about a pound of meat, so it's not a normal banh mi, also the price is higher, about $2,50, whereas the typical one is about 75 cents but much smaller. When I lived there, Huyen Hoa was my go to place!!!

Pro tip on eating the rice paper salad: get it wet with the citrus and sauces otherwise its hard to eat when its still dry. The sauce makes the dish

My sister lives in Portland. Not sure what type of buffet you wanted but there is FJ buffet for Chinese, a great Indian buffet in Portland - Namaste Indian Cuisine (and several other close by: Govinda's, Rama Indian, and Real Taste of India), there's Mizumi in Tigard (sushi), and the Hill Buffet and Grill in Newport. Hope your recovery continues to improve.

The garlic and butter on the lobster sounds really good but I definitely would not want cheese on my Lobster. I'm more traditional with melted butter and fresh lemon.

Tim, please, describe the dishes tastes, for example, what it tastes like when you eat panna cotta, does it taste like vanilla?
There are so many dishes where you just say "it's nice" but we, as foreigners, have no idea what most of the dishes tastes like. There is thousands of us, world wide, that dont know those dishes. Never even seen before.

Just for the correction you have filmed two kinds of famous noodles in Vietnam, which are Phở (flat noodle) and Bún Bò Huế.(not the Phở with round noodle) 😁. Also base on my view, Nikko is the best for seafood buffet (with the best crab, lobster and oyster...) in not only HCMC but also Vietnam.
