I realize this video is a year old but I decided to go back and check out the travel all build. I've been working with metal for 40 years and I have to tell you that your work is excellent!!!
For someone who says they don't do Sheetmetal, you form that Sheetmetal pretty damn good, enjoy watching your work, the before and after is astonishing ,
Thank you.!
As a new subscriber, I'm going through all your great videos one by one. As lots of people have already said, for somebody who says they're not to good at metal work, you've got nailed. Thanks for posting your great work and keep them coming.
Thanks man! I appreciate you watching!
This is very impressive. A ton of small detail that gets overwhelming but you’ve nailed it.
Thank ya!
For not being a sheetmetal man it turned out sweet. Keep up the great work. Another great video 👍👍
Thanks for watching as always!
Ditto on the fabrication 👍
Puddin, when you say that your not a sheet metal worker - that's a damn lie - you're an excellent sheet metal worker especially when I look at the equipment that you've got!! You are an artist with sheet metal.
Everything you've done has really looked great! 👌
You definitely have the skills for sheet metal. Beautiful work!!!
👊🏻👊🏻
You've got me fooled charming you're not a sheet metal guy! You did an amazing job with everything!
I’m not though!
For not being a sheet metal guy you do some pretty damn good work. 👍
Solid clean work. Binge watching all these vids
Thanks!
I'm binge watching your old videos Puddin.
Love seeing how this is done. I know I'll be doing the same on my 67
Man I enjoy the hell out of your channel !!!
I enjoy the hell out of comments like this!
Another great video, watching this video got my 12 year old interested in all that you were doing. Needless to say we started with the first video of the Travelall and he is sucked in! He was worried you were getting rid of the front end, he asked if you were getting rid of it, "why did he do that, it looked really good"!
That’s awesome man! I hope y’all enjoy!
That came out awesome really good I’m impressed thank you
Nice rust repair. Looked good when you were done.
You don't give yourself enough credit buddy, you build your own sh#t,its a dien art man,and that's some sweet metal work, just now binging the build videos 😎
It's looking pretty good. It won't be long that thing I'll be cruising and Tony things and the truck you've always loved.
For " Not being a Sheet Metal Guy " You are doing a Fantastic Job Brother , I secretly think You are a Great " Sheet Metal Guy "...
I appreciate it.!
Keep after it! Rust patches take a lot of time, you’re doing great. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the build.
Thanks man!
you may not think you are a sheet metal guy but i think your sheet metal work says otherwise. looks great!
Great job, love you videos, they give me inspiration for my projects. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for watching!
Good work, bro. I had rust about 5x worse than that on my '69 Suburban a few years ago, and I remade the entire firewall, cowl, and floorpans, but did not do nearly as good of a job as you just did on yours. I'll say it's because I didn't have all my tools back then...lol
Thanks man. I’m glad this thing is plumb full of rust after doing the shoebox project. The new tools I have now help some. I still tend to do shit caveman. Lol
If you had all the tools to do sheet metal work you would be awsome at it cause you do dam good job at it with very little amount of tools for sheet metal great job hope you reach all you goals.
I'm pretty sure you're planning to keep this one for a while so take your time and do it right and you'll be happier for it in the end.
It’s all done right!
You’re killing it dude , always do ... loving this project !
More soon!
Nice job! I'm going to have to tackle the same problem on my 68 travelette soon
I love the travelettes!
That cowl is a real bugaboo on these old IH trucks. I'm in WI, I would have thought that in OK it would have fared better. My 63 C-900 is as bad or worse. I have seen where they drilled out the spot welds and took the top off in one big piece, but I think you did fine here.
I had to repair it on my c900 also. Very common to rust. The truck and 2 Travelalls I’ve owned all had the same rust
Beautiful job , lot's of angles to deal with there and the repair looks great .
Thank you! It was fun.
Haha, "not a sheet metal guy" has; shrinker, stretcher, press brake... Looks good man, I hope to get my fsther-in-law's travelall one day to restore. Gotta finish or get rid of one of my other projects first if I want to keep the wife happy though.
I’m not. I’ve used them like 3 times lol
I've been staring at this problem long enough! Finishing the front drivers side door and then its time to tackle this!
Heck ya! Get it!
Awesome work Puddin - gotta be happy with that 💯
Awesome work as always
Great Job & cool wagon
I’m ready to drive it!
Great metal work!!!
Thanks!
Metal man working womders
good to see you back, happy new year..
Darn holidays and daily driver issues have me behind!
Lol the rust Sensei. Nice.
Haha gotta have fun sometimes
You are hilarious. Loving the build
I think it’s funny that you say you’re not a metal worker but everything looks so damn good
Nice progress on the project
You might not be a sheet metal guy but you are putting a lot of them to shame. I don’t know how it could’ve worked out any better. What you built in this truck will outlast any new car built today. Good job Puddin. 👍 👉🇺🇸👈
I did fabrication work for 8 or 9 years and your good very good
Thanks Billy
Thanks jpw for another great video buddy
Fine work!
I need you to fab me those pieces... Hell, I have half a mind to trailer my body out there to get you to fix my cowl. Save your templates.
If you're not a sheet metal guy I'm really not a sheet metal guy. Repairs look great to me. Wish I had half your tools and the shop space. Building my project in a little two-car garage that the wife insists she parks in :)
I under that! I started with a one car garage, grinder, and flux core eBay welder. Lol
loving the videos
Awsome work!!!
Thanks!
Great build!
Thanks!
looks really nice.
I appreciate it!
I agree with the others; that turned out dang nice. You've got some sheet metal skills in there despite you saying that you don't. If the end result looks good you did it right!
I do have one request for ya tho: buy some of those magnetic LED work lights so you can light up the work area better for the camera. I'm able to pretty much see what you're doing, but it would be better with more lighting. Just my 2 cents, brother, no hate. Love your videos and have a great year in 2020!!
Ya the lighting sucks sometimes! I need to do something about that
Liked how it turned out looks good. I like longer vids I'm just sayin keep them coming.
Thanks! More coming soon!
It's looking great. I've got a lot of rust like this to fix on my Camaro.
Gotta love it. I’ll be glad when I finish up the rust!
Looking great
👊🏻
Great stuff dude!
Thanks!
I started watching your channel for the TravelAll. I've heard you say many times about many things that you're not a this or that guy. Funny how it's ways about the things you seem to do a fantastic job at. The question....what kind of guy ARE you? 😆
A guy who will find a way to get it done!
For not a sheet metal guy it looks damn good
AWESOME!!!
Thank you!
keep making. puddin.
Nice work🤙🏼🍻
🍺 I’ll drink to that!
👍
For not being a sheet metal guy it looks pretty damn good.
Really nice work, what size wire do you recommend on the wire welder . Do you have a perfer wire welder . Thanks
For not being a sheet metal guy looks like you did a pretty good job
Lucky little girl
Dude don't short change yourself I have done automotive painting for 25 plus years and that firewall concaved part was excellent work. Under the dash who cares if someone gets under it and says anything just shove them farther under the dash with your boot.
Nice job
👍👍
What color and what type of paint did you use for the anodized blue look on the wheels for your acetylene cart? Love that
I dont know if you read comments on old videos, but did you put drains for the water that comes in through the cowl? On my Scout the cowl dumps right down the inside of the fender and the factory drainage was pretty terrible, I had to make bigger drain holes to prevent it from rusting again.
This is a huge problem for IT trucks and Tavelalls. If you can build ready-made pieces you can sell them.
Ooh wee you have a good attitude. I really wish I was as sorry at sheet metal as you. 😮😂 10:33
nice work
Thank you!
👊👍
Nice
For a man that says your not a sheet metal guy, it looks bitchin for sure! Great job
Lmao with the intro!!
I know this is an old video, but could you have cut out the Silverado firewall and replaced the international one so all the factory AC and wiring brakes, mounting ect could be used?
The truck is a lot wider then the Travelall. Too wide for that.
We were just discussing you on IH Parts America forum.
Uh oh!
@@PuddinsFabShop No man, its all good.
Looking good, but I kept flinching every time you pulled the trigger on the grinder or welder with that big, expensive windshield without anything over it. Hope it didn't get slag pits in it.
Relieve my anxiety and throw some cardboard over it next time.😁
It has a small crack and the sun baked it in a couple spots. It’s being replaced.
Yes sir better then having rust there that's for dam sure
Morning puttin
Hey mate you not doing to bad then for not being a sheet metal guy lol keep up the good work.
Thanks Wayne!
@@PuddinsFabShop your welcome mate
You are a sheet metal guy.
Glenn Campbell.
I can’t tell you’re not a “sheet metal man” by the way you can fix all those crazy contours. Really impressive Jacob! BTW I hate RUST!!! 🙂
I hate it too!
That was my thought when I saw it.
Did build the wagon on the wall
Oh ya. That’s for my little girl.
"I'm not a sheet metal guy"...uh-huh.
Since your piece was completely gone, and maybe you do this later i the video, but there is a drain to let the accumulating water run out. I will try to post something here later.
There are drains. I forgot to show them
👍👋👋👋😁
👊🏻
Like the others here for a guy that's not a sheet metal guy you doing a hell of job. Also you are you planning on
going to the Round Up again this year in Austin?
I will be skipping the round up this year but be going in 2021
He's a better sheet metal guy than me. I can spell sheet metal and that's about it.
FURST
Thanks for watchin!
Pretty good for not a sheet metal guy
I Dropped a comment
Doing a fine job Puddin, I have a 67' for sale if anyone is interested
