I've seen quite a few g body's with an updated dash and none of them really went with the vehicle, this one is different you did a great job. it doesn't look ridiculous and it goes with the rest of the interior
I'm sure to "car purists", stuff like this probably makes them cringe, but I love the idea of classic cars with modern interiors. That's just me, though. To each his own! All that said, I can definitely understand why some would want to keep the car "OG", how it was originally made.
This is dope man! very clean job... I had a 91 Camaro with t-tops thought about doing newer model Camaro interior in it but ended up selling the thing but anyway great work!
The price to have this done in Houston starts at 5k. That’s just to install the upgrades, if you want new leather, new carpet etc. you gone spend 10k at the minimum.
Man this is nice brotha I have a 1984 Monte Carlo SS I just purchased from Tennessee. I just got all the interior out of a 2017 ZL1 Camaro to put in my Monte carlo SS …
Man you did an awesome job even with your with what u say about the trim around the gauges not sticking u did an outstanding job great work I had an identical 84 white with blue interior drove it until it died with 330000 on it
I swear I’ve been trying to get this done on my ls 400 you’ve done a great job with your install see if the steering column can be fabricated in I’m sure it’s possible
Great work! How did you approach retro-fitting the headlight knob? Im doing a 2013 Malibu dash swap into my 78 firebird but the headlight switches are very similar.
Bruh beautiful job if you're doing work like this I'm definitely hitting that subscribe button and bell notification and I sent this to a few of my fellow car heads and after watching it I'm sure they will do the same I have an 01 Monte Carlo SS and I'm doing some mods of my own both preformance and custom interior I'm looking forward to seeing the other videos on your channel this just motivated me to do something today that I have been putting off due to regular life stuff that you have work around ... But again thumbs up for real and that engine sounds crazy I don't really do videos about my work but I would like to send you pics of the work that was done so far if your interested in seeing it let me know where to send it with that said it's time for me to get to work on my console/digital command center.. thanks again this excellent
do you thing someone could put a mustang dash frrom about the same year as the camaro for a gbody? how impossible is making the stock guages work? this looks SO well done!
andrew lawhorn I bet it is!! Fitment, bonding, wiring . Then touch ups 🤦🏻♂️ I could not facilitate that kind of progress. For real though, you should open up a shop.
I used abs plastic and ca glued it shut Then drilled holes in it the size of a vacuum hose did the same on the back of the vents. And used the vacuum hose to connect it.
I’m eyeing an ‘87 M/C SS. I want to drop a supercharged ‘18 LT4 with a stick. Basically, I want a complete Camaro ZL1 swap from the motor to the dash including the infotainment system, navigation, 360 camera and WiFi. Is it possible to do a swap that complicated as far as the dash and options I want are concerned? Any help or advice would be a welcomed.
I'm sure it possible but you would have to use the body harness from the new car and that would be pretty detailed work, hell you may need the entire car to complete a swap that detailed, If you decide to take it one please Vlog it I'm sure we all would follow that swap to the end💯
@Andrew lawhorn how did you learn how to do all this work? I'm currently looking for a monte carlo and want to cut some of the cost of having someone else to do it
Very impressive. I love it when people take a car and make it there on vision. I'm gonna sub just to follow the build
I've seen quite a few g body's with an updated dash and none of them really went with the vehicle, this one is different you did a great job. it doesn't look ridiculous and it goes with the rest of the interior
