at 3:25 ish he mentions something wrong: North is where people are cutting trees and northeast is where we have majority the black people , there is no north west. (Pernambuco and Bahia states are the main ones in that matter, but northeast has way more stuff)

a small correction: in fact the state with the largest German and Italian presence is in the state of Santa Catarina (the state that borders Rio Grande do Sul). In fact, it is in Santa Catarina that the second largest oktoberfest in the world takes place, second only to Germany itself (oktoberfest is a festival of German origin, involving German culture and tradition)

Geography Now's video is kinda old and has some (by current standarts) outdated information. However, most of the information presented is quite accurate. For instance: the population of natives has actually increased, and now surpasses the 1 million mark. And regarding the pardo: There's way more than just white, black and amerindian mixage, since by our official reckoning provided by IBGE (Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística/Brazillian Institute of Geography and Statistics): A pardo is anyone who has at least (not limited to) two lineages from distinct ethnicities, and is ambiguous as to what race you belong to. So anyone who has mixed heritage would be a pardo by default in Brazil. White+Black? Pardo. Black+Asian? Pardo. White+Amerindian? Pardo. So on and so forth.
And that's where things get murky: In Brazil, if you're racially ambiguous, you can choose your race. Or rather: there's self-identification and third-party identification. You're a pardo of white and black, but every bit of you is phenotypically black but your skin? You can choose to be either black, white or pardo and it will officially count. That's self-identification. Third-party identification is when another person acknowledges you as being from that specific race, and those two acknowledgements can bring a lot of headaches to everyone involved. The only ones that don't apply are the Native People of Brazil, since to be a native here, it's more about participating and living in their many cultures, that's why you'll find natives that have white, black and even asian traces over here.
In any case: Diversity is at the core of what constitutes Brazil and being a Brazillian, and that goes for most (if not all) of our being a s a Nation.

We don't have tigers or crocodiles and snakes don't invade the city and they are rare. No one goes to the Amazon in the middle of the forests, people go to cities and visit reserve areas, no one goes to animals
In fact, most of the animals in the Amazon rainforest are small, there are no bears, gorillas or anacondas as you think. It is a forest rich in biodiversity

In fact, soccer and carnival have the biggest advertising investments in the country, but the main reason is that they are a tool for the masses to maneuver. Generally speaking, the poor and less educated tend to "forget" about political/everyday problems when they are fed this absurd amount of propaganda. The number of people who even like soccer is far from 90%.

If you wanna come to Brazil you must know that English is not a mandatory language here. Most international touristic spots do know and speak English, but the population doesn't!

About the deforestation, Brazil already produces enough food to feed its entire population 2 or 3 times, and yet we have more than 20 million people (10% of our population) starving. The problem is that Brazilian farmers export most (and the best) of their food, leaving a huge part of our own people without food.
Brazil is a wonderful country, but its government is extremely corrupt.
