I would totally decorate my whole house with all of the “vintage” decorations you shared. If only they were as readily available as they were in our day..
I would hang them, tape them to walls and windows...just to live in those wonderful scary Halloweens of youth. Although you can find them, less people use them for sure. Luckily, some are going crazy with scary yard scenes. Thank you for commenting, I always appreciate that.
I have some recreations of these old cut outs. They are some of my favorite things at Halloween because they are so nostalgic. So much of today’s Halloween is either cartoony or sexualized. There is a lot of gore too. None of which is that same scary like when I was a kid in the 80’s. Back as a kid I’d often put on a black dress of my mom or my aunt’s a cape, and they’d pin a black pompom on my head for hair. 😂. While I’ve slowly had to toss some, I still have some decor that I bought 25 years ago when I first got married. And I hate the inflatables. 😂
YOu got it exactly. Too cute, overly sexed up. The GORE is just weird. That is a perfect homemade Halloween Costume. I'm so glad you enjoyed this nostalgic show.
Awesome trip down memory lane. Halloween has always been my favorite day of the year, but i hate how overboard people have taken the gore these days. You pointed out perfectly the mysterious, spooky vibe it had in the 70s and 80s.
Great stuff! We had some of the more popular die cuts and blow molds for decorating the living room and front porch. Including a few of the flocked ones.
Thank you. I loved that time. I had to look up the flocked ones to be reminded. Maybe too fancy for us, lol....but they are great. Decorating the front porch was always cool as the entry way everyone had to pass through. Thanks for watching AND commenting.
This was a great video, and I remember a lot of the decorations you showed. I found a store in a nearby town for me, that still stocks and sells these items. The owner says he still gets a lot of people looking for those vintage decorations.
Victor: "If we did cut ourselves, we just held it with a rag, got a BandAid and continued right along cutting." Me: Because we didn't need medical care for the slightest injury. It took breaks, amputations, or ruptured organs to hurt us. 😀 (Yes, I'm exaggerating, but the last two generations seem to have gotten *really* frail.)
Amen! I try not to go into much detail in how I feel about today's generations, but it is all there while I am doing these. Nothing will be remembered from them. There is nothing to remember. Thanks for the comment.
I would suggest this GEN Xperience Halloween Time Machine czcams.com/video/s25fZ5FH51I/video.html and this funny Halloween Riff czcams.com/video/DympKL2dkPI/video.html They were last year, so I was still finding my stride, lol. HOpe you enjoy
Loved that vintage Decor because it was Halloween. Very Halloween Branded with the scary figures and images we recognize as the holiday. As much as I love a good ol' fashion horror movie, Spirit is ALL Intellectual Property type of decorations.

Go online there is a company that makes reproductions of the originals.🤗🤗🤗
Beistle has an online store that sells a lot of these. They have reproduced a large amount of these.
@@shawdowsanddust5301 Thanks, I couldn't remember the name of the company.
Hell yeah. I miss these days. 😢
You and me both.
A+ video!
LOVE IT!
Such great images too!
So many images. They brought back so many memories, too. As I forgot about a lot of them until now. Thank you

Wow, I recognized almost all of those cardboard printed figures from the early part of the video. I never realized how universal they were.

Thank you. Those images did convey and air of mystery that sparked our imagination...then suddenly there was too many cutesy decor around.

Love your PROFILE PIC SO MUCH. I'm glad he is able to source them. New ones or not, these kinds are Halloween to me...and perhaps you too.

Halloween stuff was really WAAAY better before Spirit Halloween made it all so overdone!
