sorry, what is... "bay charge"-ing? never heard of it before and googling doesn't help much either
Externally charging the battery in a battery charger which has one or more individual "bays" where you place the battery for charging.
@@andyhedin4893 How do you charge it then? Does it have an internal charger?
@@lancomedicYou can charge the battery via a USB C cable & charging "brick", or throw the battery into an external "bay" charger and charge it that way. My external charger (with four bays) can charge four batteries at once.
@@andyhedin4893 Thanks
@andyhedin4893 He does say in the video, 3:37 "You Should Never Bay Charge these Batteries"
I watched this 3 minutes after it was posted and the price had already gone up! Thanks big “A”.
Titanium version is at 39.99 now. MaxLvl moves the market.
Same and I can't find the RX 1000
Wait a week
I can't believe i caught you red handed not turning the beauty on. Thanks for the upload all the same:)
Woops!
I love small improvements to products. It shows that they're somewhat listening to customers and is how you achieve product perfection.
I feel like the texture on the cap to twist off to get to the battery has changed for the better also. Love the new version
Any time a company makes something better and cheaper they have my attention!
Oh nice improvements and a very decent price. Thanks for sharing.
A flashlite review where u never turn the flashlite on?
He literally never does beam shots, the explanation was there are plenty of more detailed beam shots comparison videos and he simply doesn't have time for setting up and including beam shots and making them up to his standard. Idk how I feel about it but that was the explanation from him in other videos
@@CDXRK Also most flashlight reviews that aren't from dedicated flashlight channels do a horrible job at showing the beam. AWB is usually on, Auto-Exposure is usually on, often no comparison to anything.
@@CDXRK Beams shots?, he never even turned it on at all. Some review
Frankly I forgot, but as you said..turning it on does very little with auto adjust on the camera.
I'm not a huge fan of the USB battery type, but for a high quality pocket light without a strobe (which I have NEVER had occasion to use) this thing is totally 5easonable
I have both old and new, the new has definitely been an improvement , also if you compare the 2 , new one is shorter ever so and the cutouts are more on the new 2.0 , still a great edc
Been everyday carrying my acebeam pokelit AA 1000 lumen grey version for over a year now ... Similar light to this .. paid 26 dollars Canadian. Love it ... Acebeam is blowing olight away when compared to the i5r
BOUGHT ONE, LOVE IT! 👍👍
Now almost everywhere they are $40-$57 depending on which model. 1 place is $39 and 1 black posting for $29.
I loved it !! 😊
I enjoy your videos, mainly flashlight videos. I bought a boruit recently that I like. Why no reviews of boruits?
Main things I dislike on my Rider RX, and why I never carry it anymore, are the bulky pocket clip and the UI. Tbh the UI is about 80% of what I don’t like. It’s just so clunky to have to click through modes like that…we have so many better options these days, this just does nothing for me. At least they fixed the clip, though!
What does the light look like. Turn on and compare!
Another awesome review! I have a question. If I already own a Olight I5T should I look to pick this up? If the only difference is for the ability to avoid accidentally turning it on and having the two materials to better cool the flashlight.
Yes; you get standard 14500 battery usage rather than Olight's proprietary 2.4V cell (both will use a 1.5V AA).
Hmm, no...if your going to get another, get the weltool T1 pro tac...it's a completely different light but insane power with a 14500
I have one of the original ones. I like it as a good "nearby-grab,", but it hasn't made it to EDC. I still prefer my Sofirn SC21 Pro as the main, and the Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 as the backup because of its silicone rubber dome.
Both great edc , Sofirn covers the enthusiast and the Lumintop is an amazing user friendly edc . I use the Lumintop at night when letting the cat out, moonlight mode with the diffuser for the win.
The Lumintop tool AA is where I would guide most people for a one and done edc torch.
@@GamerBivy As badly as the Tool's clip sucks, I would too. It has too many other plusses, like running on ANY AA (1.2V up to 3.7V), and the diffuser makes it a decent enough area light.
What's the cadella of the 1000 watt??
Aiwaa 😘💕👍👍
galvanic corrosion
👍🍻
If I might ask, can the battery be charged with a USB-C to USB-C cable?
Yes it can.
@@GamerBivy Good to know-thanks!
You said you should never "bay charge these", what does that mean?
I believe he means do not charge them with a battery charger where you can slide 1 or more batteries into different bays in order to charge them. google "18650 battery charger" and you will see the chargers that I'm referring to.
Exactly what was said above, sorry I didn't clarify.
@@sashaghovanlou8175 Thanks!
I always charge those batteries in my Xtar charger 😳
It can damage the circuit
@@maxlvledc you are the first I've seen saying that. Is that something acebeam told you or did it come from somewhere else? Guess I'm wondering why and how.
@@TheRealBigJake some companies with similar batteries warned me, but maybe I'm wrong
Wish theyd make these without the blue
Same, with black would be hot
On the one hand the whole bolt-action thing is becoming quite the overdone fad, on the other hand I gotta admit it's a nice implementation of it and actually provides a feature. However what might be even better is if they had a 3-step action one of which slides further back so the beam is more direct.
Doesn't happen too often that I need to direct a beam, but it's even rarer that I need to standoff the flashlight pointing it upwards.
What is "bay charging"?

@sashaghovanlou8175 that's what I thought but wasn't sure about. Never heard bay charging term. Thanks friend.
Since your video, the price has increased over $10.
?!
25 in US 89 in AUS . Rip
I had the Titanium 1st gen. It quit working after 6 months. I’m sure I just happened to get a bad one. Always heard good things otherwise.
Send it in for warranty, I'm pretty sure Acebeam has a five year warranty.
Yep, send it
But does it Work???????🤔
yes they do, I did 4 takes. Somehow the one I used didn't have me turning it on which I find humorous.
Just curious...do they work ??? Imagine an automotive journaliste doing the same type of " review " with a car .
Yes lol, definitely..I filmed this 4 times and must have spaced.
For them to claim 1000 lumens is a little ridiculous. That tells me all I need to know about the company
It's actually 1,000 lumens if you get the cool white version of the light.
@Spolt_main according to their specs it's 1000 lumens for 35 seconds.... That's ridiculous..
@Jon-ki2px It's also a/n 14500/AA flashlight. If you want something with higher sustainable output, get a larger one with a fan. At least Acebeam uses ANSI for their turbo settings, Nitecore has a 13-second turbo on the MH12 PRO and even shorter (8 seconds) for the two EDC lights. Basically, what I'm saying is 35 seconds isn't that bad for an AA light.
@Spolt_main my point was it is shady and dishonest to market as a 1000 lumen light when it's not ... Olight does the same shit with their exadurated lumen claims. That's one of the many reasons I don't buy from them either.
Yes I’m the first! Who gives a crap?
😅😂😊
