Am I the only one that thinks Samsung galaxy note phones should Atleast come with a screen protector in the box. I mean it is a 1000 phone. 🤷♂️
It comes installed with one
No they should any flash ship should imo. Even if they charged us for it. Would rather have a Whitestone out on from factory. They should work out a deal with them or amfilm.
I know how you feel. And those who say it does. A cheap plastic one doesn't exactly count. A 10 quid extra would be a huge bonus
@@sp3lllz Yes its not bad. But lets be honest. I think anyone would pay extra 10-20 quid if they would add glass protector (since it will be perfectly placed and almost everyone gets one anyways lol)
Case and screen protector. And extra S pen tips. But I still love this thing!!
@42:05 is the best/ recommended protector. Use the link! Great vid!
Thank you for your support Nate
Translate please, Samsung me respondeu, dizendo que este tipo de película com luz UV, estragam as vedações do smartphone e também faz perder a garantia!
Thank you. I can't stand it when they don't put a Cliff notes in the description. I don't have 50 minutes to find out which is bad or good.
Advice for the installation of the film screen protector: i always find that taking a hair dryer and applying medium to high heat the the curved edge part of the screen protector for about 30 seconds to a minute each side helps the film to mould to the curved edge much better than without heat.
I will try that out. Thank you
your video save much money for the other, thumbs up bro
Thanks for the help, but you didn't test the s pen. It would've been a lot more time but it's key to know if the s pen moves smoothly or rough just like with swiping a finger
Great video, really enjoyed the comparison, so glad Iv gone with the Whitestone dome glass though it's worth every penny
I have used Whitestone Dome Glass for years since I owned my S6 Edge. Have never had a cracked screen thanks to them! Had them on my Note9(1 screen lasted 2 years!) and now I have it on my Note20 Ultra. I will never use any other screen protector.
Thank you so much for your video. Believe it or not I spent the whole day looking for which screen protector was better. Thankfully, I found your video. So I was leaning into getting the dome but the price. Trying to find the Ultimate shield and didn't see it at Amazon. Where do you get it?
Thanks for your patience really great video. Whatever screen protector I get I'll get it through your provided links to help out. And yes, liquid can easily come into the speakers or mics even in the s-pen cavity, if it becomes messy. If it does and you cured it, use a dry soft bridle toothbrush and brush it off and use a vacuum from a distance (do not rub the vacuum tip on the phone to avoid scratches) to pick up the particles from the glue after brushing. If you haven't cured it, damped Qtip with water and rub away with the cavity facing the floor so that gravity works on your favor. Then damped another Qtip with alcohol again and rub away, don't push.
Thank you for your informative video, a small suggestion when testing fingerprint also test s-pen as some screen protector doesn't work well with S-Pen. Thanks
Great set if instructions. Would have liked to have viewed how you took the screen protectors off without scratching the screen. Thank you.
The Ultimate Shield looks very similar to the amfilm (tempered glass) that I bought for my gf's Note 20 Ultra. I would follow their instructions (shows 15s x 3, 30s x 3, and 60s x 3 UV light curing times/methods for example) and it is a bit more thorough also the amfilm version also has a level and a metal weight for the finger print sensor; just seems like the rest is the same with a few more points of consideration added. I paid $40 (ebay) so it is $5 more but it is a 2-pack and this is a $1300+ phone depending if you got the 128 or 512GB version, so I'm good with spending the extra $5 but the Ultimate Shield seems very comparable otherwise. Anyhow, it seems to be working flawlessly so far and fits in my gfs case perfectly. I figured others may benefit from knowing this but great effort to go through so many screen protectors. Thank you!
Can you please email me at HighTechCheck1@gmail.com to discuss any business opportunities. Thank you
The included guides look fantastic. So much of a difference thanks to 2 cents worth of plastic. I've been going protector free for the last 4 years but remember that it used to be a massive p in the a to put them on back in the days.
You doing alright bud? Good video though so good. I've watched probably 15 videos and that's like 2 days of time I spent just 50min on yours and I don't need to watch anymore. Good job you should have put white stone dome in there
This was the first time I saw your channel. Your video was great. Your a trooper for taking one for team. I am a fan please keep up the great work
Thank you for your support Bill, looking forward to. Asking more videos for everyone.
Ive used the whitestone dome glass and the cheaper alternatives. No specific brands, they all use the same liquid glue. The whitestone dome glass glue is the one that sticks well but a little harder to peel off.
As for the fingerprint scanner, the glue between the screen and the tempered glass has to be super thin, so i put some kind of metal weight, (a 10 roll of pennies will work) on top of the area where the fp scanner is and cure the glue with uv light, only removing it to cure the fp area last. My fp works 95% of the time.
thank you so much for this video! it was exactly what i was looking for
This is great, just test the S Pen next time for some of these, primarily the rubbery/plasticy ones and these videos will be perfect! Thanks for this!!
That was the only thing missing and one of the reasons I came here. I still learned alot so thumbs up for putting this together!
I was saying "pen, pen, PEN!" 🙉 by that first one. 😅 That's too bad. Otherwise great vid! Very helpful 👍🏻
.
Damn have u had a good screen protector that doesn't change pen feel?
Only the headache glass ones. But this one feels pretty smooth and pen glides on it.
This is very very helpful video after buying 2 from amazon and they didnt out good and now this video has helped make good choice.
Thanks for the info I love these kinda videos
Thanks for making this video. This helps!
Great info. You have a new subscriber!.. Thanks
I thought your information was very good. However, I didnt hear you mention the functionality of the S pen on the protectors. Tempered glass would be the only choice I would think would be compatible with the S pen, ( as the plastic type , like Zagg, were terrible and the pen tip drags on the surface leaving marks, that may or may not dissipate. ) Please consider testing Whitestone vs Amfilm and any other similar Glass types , with the necessary features. Also, the quality of the glass edge ( smooth, tapered, or squared off would be a nice detail for finger contact comfort. )
This is a great video. Much appreciated. This narrows down my search, but I still haven't been able to figure out which screen protectors are going to be the most durable for dropping my phone. I drop it all the time. I've been hearing that a lot of these glass protectors pop off or break easily. Do the film protectors protect it from dropping, or just from scratches? In the end, what is recommended for a guy that drops his phone ALL the time? For my previous Note, I used Skinomi, but as of late the sides peel up too much.
Had a tempered glass for my S10E and it did Crack but when it was time to trade in the phone for the Ultra 20 I'm writing in now, the S10E was in pristine condition
This is a great concept for a video, yay! I have the UniqueMe for my Samsung, it went on PERFECTLY, no rippling, no bubbles
Does your finger print reader work?
@@larnellbrown9147 yes no issues
Thank You so much for this...
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it
I’ve had the OEAG screen protector since I got the phone on August 18th. It’s been very good so far. Those wrinkles/lines that the screen protector has from applying too much pressure or from using the pen does go away after a couple of hours.
All are rubber/plastic type like ZAGG. however, you didn't mention Am Film or Whitestone Dome. No test on how the S pen works with that type of rubbery plastic surface. Is there a reason why you didn't try that out?
Thank you! For making this video I can now choose which option is best for my Note 20 ultra you are the man👍
You're welcome Pablo, thank you for your support.
Thank You for going through the pain for us!
Exactly!
Yes. Exactly the case.
Subscribed.... Bro... Why did I not see this video a month ago? 😅 Def 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey so are the liquid assisted screen protectors easy to take off? Or is there going to be a lot of hardened residue for me to scrape off? Thanks!
Thank you for this! Man, this video is awesome! 👍🏼
Thank you for your support Lu!
Excellent! Thank you for this information and the installation instructions. I definitely would have messed up my phone!
That was very thorough, thank you for sharing the vid. 👍👍👍👍👍
You just got another good subscriber and a like and a comment thanks bud !
thank you for taking your time for us and money of course.
Gotta like and sub just based on the amount of effort you put in.
Thank you for your support Dylan!
Excellent review! Thank you
Thanks for the demo of the screen protector. Wish you would have use the s pen to show it works.
Seriously appreciate the efforts put in to making this video!
So which is the best?
Very Useful .Thanks Bro
Thank you! Excellent video!
Great video, very informative and you cut out the repetitive stuff that can get in the way of longer videos. Thanks very much
Whats the best one i don't wanna watch this for an hour 🤪
Same
In his opinion 42:05 is his favorite(other than white stone dome)
@@buickjam but a lot of bad reviews it seems
@@buickjam Unfortunately it's not currently available on Amazon and it doesn't have great reviews on there :( sooo....still looking for something
Thanks for posting! Question did you leave that last screen protector on the phone, I would have. 😁
I had to take it off so I could do the Whitestone dome review but it was working well while I had it on.
Very nice job, thanks.
You should do s-pen test. Because most of plastic screen protector leaves a permanent mark when you use s-pen.
My best recommendation is Tmax (for UV protector), or Matte plastic protector.
I liked it so you have a better engagement, thank you for your time, very useful
Thank you for the great demonstration
never thought I'd watch this from A to Z. thank you so much for doing this for us ❤❤
Great Video and thanks for taking the time
thanks! excellent video! glass protector (non adhesives) doesn't work for my phone at all. I wonder now if I have a defective phone.
I have used Whitestone Dome Glass for years since I owned my S6 Edge. Have never had a cracked screen thanks to them! Had them on my Note9(1 screen lasted 2 years!) and now I have it on my Note20 Ultra. I will never use any other screen protector. Worth every cent.
On the last one, I've done quite a few Whitestone dome screen protectors on my Note 10 plus and Note 20 Ultra. First, I always cured mine 4 or 5 times on top middle and bottom. That glue after 15 seconds will ALWAYS get into your ear piece of the phone. Second, the fingerprint sensor doesn't always work properly. It's really ridiculous that you'd have to go through this kind of pain cause of a fingerprint sensor. Anyways, cool video. Maybe next time use more than 1 case to ensure compatibly. Use 1, 2, and 3 part case per screen protector.
Thanks very helpful 👍
Hi, great video. Because of your video I stayed away from UV types. I installed a hydrogel protector. As soon as the installation is done, I immediately use the Spen. I noticed there are like cross over lapping lines in the screen protector visible only at a certain angle and in reflection of light, you won't see it when looking at the screen normally. My question , did my Spen caused this? Shouldn't I waited for the protector to heal itself over 24 hours before I use the Spen? Thanks. I am amazed by your effort to try all those products to come up with this very comprehensive review.
Hi. I just got my Note 20 Ultra recently and it has hydrogel protector pre-installed. The thing is it scratches easily for me as I had long nails when I got it, not to mention there were air bubbles that expanded when it got hot. Noticed that it's not sensitive enough for S pen as I had to press harder on the screen and it worries me if I end up breaking the S pen.
Currently using the UV ones. Is it that bad? I might switch back to hydrogel as the pre-installed were 1 year old.
Amazing video thank you so much!!!
Thank you for your support Mac!
What is your opinion on the Infra Red Screen Protector.I have installed it twice & i am so frustrated to see that my screen starts getting scratched & even bublish with some Rainbow colour from the sides , once i dropped it on the floor (and once or twice outside.
So , i noticed in one shop that the guy had a simple screen protector. Will that be tough enough compared to the In Fra Red Screen Protetcor ....
Which one is the best please, and are types with glu and uv light good? what about nano.. i'm so lost lool
Idk if the The Glass Screen Pro with the brown packaging one that you kinda skipped over is just a popular packaging, but I got one just like that and the fingerprint scanner doesn't work at all on it.
I bought a 2 pack of Whitestone dome note 20 ultra from Amazon. Both were cracked on top right. So decided to buy from the official website, arrived week and half later than 2 day delivery..... Wouldn't you know it, both protectors had cracks in the same location. Did a warranty replacement from the website and they charged $15 for 1 replacement protector. Customer service is nonexistent. Crazy to charge people more for items sent broken. Had Whitestone for 4 different phones and never had 1 arrive broken prior and I've purchased maybe 10 kits over past 3 years. Shame, quality control is going down hill
I've heard this same story about 10 times this year! Whitestone is falling off.🙄
I bought one for my note 20 ultra and I had one for my note 9 and I loved it, it never cracked or had any issues now I have this one and within a couple weeks I have 2 cracks and 2 chips
I never got any of my money back from the dual pack or the $15 1 replacement which they never sent yet over a month later
Thanks for the awesome vid, I've bought 4 screen protectors and i cannot deal with the fingerprint dot, still don't know which one to go for, the plastic type doesn't give much protection but no annoying dot in the middle, might go for this
I have used Whitestone Dome Glass for years since I owned my S6 Edge. Have never had a cracked screen thanks to them! Had them on my Note9(1 screen lasted 2 years!) and now I have it on my Note20 Ultra. I will never use any other screen protector. Worth every cent.
Atrayel I might try that, thank you
@@Shinjite1754 Whitestone dome glass is really good, perfect for Samsung phones
Great video! I think I'm going Rinke thanks to you 👍🏻
I opted out of the fingerprint scanner due to the annoying cutout, so I went with the privacy glass. Everything is working great except for the keyboard doubling and tripling letters while typing. Touch sensitivity is up. If turned off screen is almost inoperable. Does anyone know a fix for this?
How about reflections and fingerprints?
Thanks for the advice
I got the rinke. Tired of glass popping off or cracking with my cases. Wish they had a privacy version though.
I ordered a Zagg glass fusion. Pain in the ass to install and it wasn't even glass. I just Yeeted it in the trash
It was a pain to install, it's not too bad to use but I'm going to have to take it off because it bubbled up in places. Nice waste of money for it just to be a bubble turd.
It has the word glass in the name but it's not glass? Wow! I haven't gotten a Zagg screen protector since I bought one and had Best Buy install it on my Evo 3D! That's seems like a lifetime ago! It was one of those orange peel ones and I hated it but left it on because of how expensive it was.
@@silkyjohnson i threw that shit away i was pissed but whatever
I got mine at best buy when I bought the phone, went back the next day cuz I messed it up horribly and payed 8 bucks to get it installed. Its ok but there is already some creases and a dent after less than a week of use
This protector is trash! Replaced twice in 3 months mainly due to indenting. Comes with lifetime warranty but you pay shipping. I believe a gimmick. Not because of durability or quality
does this also applied to note 10 plus? the answer will help so much thank you
One of the best videos
Thank you
what do you think about whitestone Dome Glass for note 20 ultra?
It was good on my galaxy s20 plus, based on that it should be just as good for the note 20 ultra.
patricios71 i saw a video where a guy did a review in it here’s the link czcams.com/video/Elf1GtbyCaI/video.html
I dont usually like glass screen protectors because of the way they adhere like tape and the fingerprint scanner is compromised but whitestone dome glass adheres with liquid and cures with uv light so there's no bubbles at all and no worry about it pealing up after curing it has a tray so its perfect installation also comes with all the bells and whistles for covering the speakers and buttons so no adhesive will seep in i love mine and the uv light that comes with is very nice quality. easy and flawless installation well worth the price and with the note 20 ultra version you get 2 screen protectors and accessories after installation you just have to re do your fingerprint
My only problem in my past experiences with the note 8 and 10+, is the durability of the screen protector. It seemed like every tiny drop would crack it. They did come with a lifetime warranty though.
Mine came broken
Great idea for a video!!
speaking in general, without naming porduct
work quick in a bathroom with shower runing, NO dust at all
next time I will wait 20 min (?) for dust to stay stell to the ground and moisture in air to disapait hopfully leaving a clean room to cover.
Cons: Another factor to add or worrie about when troubleshoot screen problems that occationally turn up
my previous dust protector ruined my stylus made w/screen mesh over rubbery tip
Just a quick observation the glass with liquids do have a way to install as the top of the scren protector have a small(varely visible) indent for the speaker, the les light comes woth 2 ports one for usb c and micro usb on the other side, and last if you take the apropiate time and dont let the glue run before installing the glass you will not have to worry about the speaker as the glue will get tothe edge of the and not run out i have 4 note 20 ultras for my family and i installed all 4 of them with yunners protectors and they fit perfect in a spidgen tough protection cases and they run with no issues didnt even have to register fingerprints again
Finally, somebody with experience using glass with the Spigen case. Thanks!
When you damage the glued glass film, how You take it off? 🤔
I use a lot of screen protector for me the plactic ones are the worst for how the screen feel. But work great for the on screen finger scanner. So for the glass ones with finger whole in the screen.lol I love those the touch of the screen feel great.
I just Bought A Samsung Note 20 Ultra yesterday Night & i have not put any Screen Protector or a case on it .So , this video is gonna help a tone for me.
I'm going for the Ringke Easy Dual Wing. Since didn't show wrinkles, it wont lift up from edges since it gets tucked down under the case. I feel more protection with the glass ones, but they are messy and and start peeling off when you put them in your pocket, cause of the case, using the edge panel, using the swipe gesture navigation bar or even cleaning them and prices are not cheap for something decent, plus is hard to find one that works well with the fingerprints scanner.
there is a CZcams channel of a guy who tests cases with tempered glass screen protectors. I have learned quite a bit from him. There are cases in which the corners are molded higher up and then there are cases in which the corners are molded lower. This is important to consider when you're thinking of using a liquid-based adhesive tempered glass protector.
Which glass/screen protector would you prefer?
Great vídeo ... Thanks ... Greetings from México
Greetings! Thank you for your support!
I got ESR. It was frustrating that the fingerprint sensor didn't work because I heavily depend on it for Samsung Pay everyday. I trial and error found that if you removed all fingerprints and start over with registering one finger at a time. IT started working. The fingerprint section of the screen has an obvious hole, you could see two tone of color or lighting thru it, not cool.
Have you come across a protector that isn't that rubbery TPU film and is not the crappy glass ones. Unfortunately after adding the curved screen the glass protectors have been garbage. The previous note 10 came with factory screen protector which was like a thin plastic protector that felt good but was not as durable. I wouldn't mind replacing it every couple of months if i could find it. If you come across this type of protector please let us know.
itzjung really...this old guy is still using that on on my note 10+ with a case and my phone still looks new. Cases are a huge factor i have found.
Thanks alot
I hope you did test the spen also
I have used Whitestone Dome Glass for years since I owned my S6 Edge. Have never had a cracked screen thanks to them! Had them on my Note9(1 screen lasted 2 years!) and now I have it on my Note20 Ultra. I will never use any other screen protector. Worth every cent. Yes works with the fps. You don't have to but I recommend registering Fingerprints AFTER you install it so you have no issues.
I Concur
I also used Whitestone Dome. Some materials just don't work well with s-pen and my experience is that the non-LOCA glass doesn't have the sensitivity.
I had gone through 4 brands of tempered glass screen protectors for my Note 10 plus and only one I settled with- Whitestone Dome. By far the best I would recommend for the Note 10 plus as it was very compatible with the in display fingerprint sensor. Also compatible with all cases. 👍
I bought a cheap $10 UV tempered Glass screen protector from ebay for my s20 ultra. My fingerprint scanner wasn't working after. I was so pissed off becuase it worked well with my s10. I waited 2 days and it started working again. The only difference is that fingerprint is a little higher when pressing off the area and it takes a little longer while registering. I registered 4 times all with my thumb with difference angles. I hope this helps others. Just try waiting 1-3 days and see if it registers then. Good luck.
Awesome video thank you !!!
Thanks for the support!
I brought the glass screen protector by ESR... had to return because it had the smudge and the fingerprint sensor didn't work for me no matter what. Ended up with a Zagg hybrid glass.. clear all the way and both looks and works well.
Where did you get the fist Wallpaper?
how does the selfe cam look under that?
Thank you!!
Thank you for all your hard work. I really love that your taking your time to help others. That is so very noble of you. I think your awesome.
Thank you again 💓
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. PLEASE STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY!
Thank you for your support Mega! Comments like this make it all worth it. 😊
is the ultimate shield permanent? like what if it starts looking bad can it be replaced?
Thank you so much for making this video!! I was worried for you when the liquid got in the speaker. Glad everything cleaned out! 👍🏻
You really helped me understand glass screen protectors with a liquid adhesive:
✔ You get what you pay for. Look at what comes in the kit to help the installation be successful. Purchase the product that supports your level of experience
✔ Make sure the speakers and microphones are securely covered. Double and tripe check to make sure they are covered. If the sticker used to cover the speaker or microphone looks weak, do not trust it
✔ The installation trays seem like complete overkill to the novice like me, but they are required to level the phone and keep the phone level so that the liquid adhesive is evenly dispersed under the glass
If you don't know what you are doing, get the product that includes the installation tray and adhesive strips
✔ If the installation starts to go wrong, stop. There is nothing you can do to recover the installation if the liquid adhesive is out of the tube. Clean up everything and start over because trying to continue may end up costing you more
✔ Don't be afraid to bail out. Nothing is fixed until the UV light is used
I am going to purchase the Whitestone Dome Glass Note 20 Ultra screen protector - a product you said you installed previously. I really thought the installation tray was overkill and a nice convenience tool, but after watching your video, I realize that the installation tray - for me - is critical to complete the installation any of these products successfully. The liquid adhesive is very mobile and travels quickly. You helped me understand why some products are priced as they are. The tools in the package make the difference.
Thanks, again!!
Thank you for your support, it can be scary for a lot of people when the liquid gets into places it shouldn’t that’s why I tried to show everyone what to do if that happens.
Thx for your content!
Thank you for your support.
Get the Dome Glass Screen protector...it comes with a fixture and bigger UV light it's so much easier and it does protect better than any other.
With the glass protector I notice that you can't tap smoothly on some spot. For example, the home bottom and even when I'm texting to someone. I have to press hard to get that letter. I give a no no for glass protector. Hopefully they will improve.
So what do u think of the Whitestone Some? I just ordered for my Note20 Ultra...kinda scared to do it myself. Time will tell...
I just got my Whitestone in, ill be making a video very soon. I personally like it, it's just expensive.
Do you know which plastic film is the same clearness as the original one that comes with the Samsung phones pre-installed? I removed mine by accident, and could not re-use it on the device.
They seem to be really clear, if there was any difference between the two I couldn't really tell. The plastic that came on the phone wasn't meant to be kept on as it was really flimsy. They only real difference I could tell was the feel, the film protectors in my video were a little more grippy. That's not necessarily a bad thing especially when your tryi v to use the fingerprint sensor.
the film strips are good for scratches ... but my phone had it and crackd i was lifting something at work and had phone on front pocket the weight of the object having pressed up on my phone crackd the screen. i think if i had the glass screen protector might have held better on that scenario but who knows..
Which one would be the best for no rainbow effect in best sensitivity
It's like the Vitavelaaa one got the factory rejects, they didn't even have the spelling on the sticker right that sealed the "wood" case, but then the one right after that which was the same exact screen protector but different brand did have the spelling right, lol. In regards to the Dome Glass type protector, I tried that one 3 times and it didn't work for me each time. The first time the fingerprint sensor didn't work at all even after reregistering it and turn up touch sensitivity, the second time the glue leaked out of the side all over the side and back of my phone, then the third time my finger only registered maybe 25% of the time. I got so tired of trying to find a screen protector that worked that I just don't use one anymore.
