  • July 30, 2020 marked an extraordinary anniversary for Joni Eareckson Tada: it’s more than 50 years since she took a dive that redirected the course of her life. Becoming a quadriplegic without the use of her hands at age 17 brought unexpected struggles… a battle with depression, suicidal thoughts, and desperate prayers for healing: Do I not have enough faith?
But as Joni has trusted God over the past 5+ decades, he’s been faithful to heal her in another way, a more important way. Because the good of the soul is more important than the good of the body. On the podcast, Crystal sat down with Joni to have an honest conversation about healing and why God allows hardships and pain to remain in our lives. Even though Joni hasn’t received physical healing, she shares about God’s unmistakable power in the deeper way that she has been healed.
Are you are struggling with a disability or illness? Do you feel like your prayers for healing have gone unanswered? Be encouraged today as you listen to this powerful conversation about finding a deeper healing.

I love the work of God that has been done in Joni's life. Wisdom pours out of her so effortlessly. She has such a deep understanding of scripture. It has been hard earned and very admirable. May the Lord continue to bless this heroine of the faith.

Joni's words are amazing and profound. You can see she has been with Jesus all these years. The talk of a deeper healing really touched me. I look back at my life, the tears, and all the other things...and I can say it is well with my soul.
I am not healed yet, but I want to sing to the LORD. 🙂 I can see Jesus more clearly now that He has cleaned me up and is accomplishing the deeper work in my life. This is truly 'dynamo'! God bless you all.

Needed this. Indeed, I am learning too, that being conformed to the image of Jesus in character and nature is Infinitely/eternally more important that my own physical healing of multiple body parts.

A couple of weeks ago I was listening to Jeremy Johnson - Fearless Church- his testimony back when he was a youth pastor. He tells about the time he was in his office and he was tired and just crying out to God and beating on the office walls. God asked him if he was ready to do things His Way? Yes he said. What God had him do was pray 🙏🏻 8 hours a day for the next week. Jeremy said: I am a youth Pastor and what do I do when people come to meet with him and God said ask them to pray an hour with you. He said they usually didn’t stay for a full hour of praying. Then the next week God wanted him to pray for 8 hours a day again. He said in that two week period of praying he noticed his secretary in her office had started praying and then he noticed 2-3 young people praying with her in her office and that number grew. After those two weeks when they had church and God wanted him to pray for the sick and had the young people who were sick to come up on stage. He said there was 30 or so and they were all healed and one was a teenager in a wheelchair and they came out of that wheelchair. I was thinking why wasn’t Joni healed as a teenager. Listening to this podcast but also listening to Jeremy Johnson’s testimony. Maybe it is that your friends need to have faith for your healing. Also matters of the heart and the deeper healing of people’s souls - mind, will and emotions. And heart ❤️ healing. I listened to a short Powerful message yesterday on that the church is to be a house of prayer. 🙏🏻. I will keep praying for your miracle Joni.
