I had the pleasure of knowing Guy Madison. What a sweet kind shy man.
Oh, I love hearing that. Everything about him seems like the type of professional but shy actor I adore: they do what they gotta do for pr, but rather just be quiet and play make believe. The photo of him getting the mail is the most revealing. Seems like an actual pappazzi shot. He does not seem thrilled, but is so beautiful. Talented too.
When God made Guy Madison, he didn't do anything else for the rest of the day. A stunning man!
Looks like he was born on a Thurday (January 19, 1922), so maybe he took Friday off...and made it a long weekend. :-)
He sure was a beautiful guy , they don't make em' like that anymore , the lucky ones that were there to know him , that was when Hollywood was real 😂❤
I was so happy to see these photos. From his legs to the top of his head, Guy Madison (to me) was male perfection. If I were to build a man from a kit, I would want him to look like Guy Madison. I have seen a few pix of him with just a swimsuit on and all I could say was "Yowza!" Thank you for this montage!
Glad I'm not the only who thinks so highly of Mr. Madison. Swoon.
@@CollidePress Another great looking man is Sam Elliott
Already working on it. I love Sam and had a chance to work with him years ago. One of my favorite actors and people.
@@CollidePress That is cool to know. He married one of the most beautiful girls---Katharine Ross. Sam also possesses a great voice that is instantly recognizable.
His voice is unmistakable. And it's only surpassed when he's looking you in the eye. I've never met anyone who is so fully present when he's speaking with someone. As for his wife, while I never got to meet her, she was in town for part of the shoot we were on, and whenever it was a rough day on set, I'd ask about "Miss Katherine" and Sam would light up like a Christmas tree. Never met anyone so obviously and respectfully in love...at least not in Hollyweird. lol
What a gorgeous man. Great video. Thanks.
I remember him well......
Yummy. 😊😊
So natural, genuine, real, authentic.
What a good looking man at every age.
Indeed he was. I was much older when I looked into him as a younger man. He didn’t seem to have a bad era.
When guys were handsome, attractive, good-looking, sexy NATURALLY 👏👏👏
If you ever do a tribute video on Montgomery Clift, let it be known beforehand please hahaha I'll have to take A very very deep breath to watch it through!
Well, turned up that oxygen, cuz hoping to have his done tomorrow or Wednesday. I like this "Whatta Man" series...and I think others will too. :-p
@@CollidePress WOW...VERY MUCH LOOKING FORWARD TO IT! And now I'm prepared for ir!
Wow. He sure was handsome, esp as he got older. I don’t usually go for the pretty boy look, but he sure was
@@steves9905 He was outrageously handsome! Even after his car accident, he still was good-looking! And A very talented actor as well! So in the end it wasn't just about his good looks.
I first saw Guy Madison in my favourite underrated Christmas movie, Since You Went Away starring Claudette Colbert. It was his first film; he has a cameo role as a young sailor and he took my breath away!
Very much Appreciated. Guy Madison; the picture of Masculinity.
Thanks! Appreciate you watching.
somehow this stunning fella has escaped my attention all these years. He definitely personifies the word "dishy" !
Glad to help serving this dish...he's definitely worth considering on the menu.
Hell yeah sexy Guy 🖖 also no one can copy his stand of being as a man, or actor 🌈🙃💪👍
L'eleganza se non la si ha, non si può darsela!
Hay your word's in to be in English 💪
Has some great scenes with Jennifer Jones and Robert Walker in "Since You Went Away"
A very good-looking man indeed! It's sad that he's not better known. I'm a movie buff, so he's no stranger to me. Excellent range of photos- I think I'm gonna like this new "Whatta Man!" series! Nice work!
Thanks, Shaun. I've missed most of his film work, but loved him on tv.
Always loved him.
WILD BILL !
That's how I knew him. Loved that show as a kid. :-)
@@CollidePress I think Andy Devine used to say WILD BILL in every episode.
Till the end of time
Agreed. Glad he lived such a long and seemingly happy life.
Yes he was a heart throb of mine too. I lived the Wild Bill Hickok show.
Yeeeee-Hawwwww! :-)
@@CollidePress As a boy of the 1950s I had several TV and movie cowboy heart throbs. I am a natural horseman or a horse whisperer (if you will). I would probably not have become a horseman if I had not had the inspiration from those cowboy heart throbs. My regret in life- I never met or found the horseman partner I always longed for. LOL I always had a horse but I never had a cowboy.
Yeah……. ❤
Uh. HUH. 🌈
Right - only one word is necessary - YES
Loved watching him on "Wild Bill Hickock" in 1951 when I was 6 ! Made my mom buy all the "Sugar Pops" cereal boxes with his picture on them, too !
That's awesome. I think I ran across a picture of that cereal box online. Fun history!
No hacia galta ser moreno para ser belloel rubio mas guapo del cine
You also can not find a lot of his movies he played in 🖖💪
I wonder why. He was so popular, though his debut came not long after WWII, so wondering how much TV hurt his movie career. Seems like a great guy. Nice penmanship too!
@@CollidePress it's like some one removed his history right out.
@@CollidePress also there are more like him you can not find anywhere! 🌈😇🖖
Heyas Clint, I too dont know the guy or his works but a good archive of him all the way from his real life in the forces to his mature self. He was handsome thats not in dought and lucky pupper @ 4:00 I will wait in anticipation for other guys in this series. Cheers DougT 🇫🇴 (btw i will get that aircraft carrier clip to you ASAP)
Glad you enjoyed. He's always been a favorite, despite not being as remembered as some of the others. No worries about the clip...thought maybe my email was acting up. :-p Cheers!
Je suis étrangère et je ne connais pas cet homme. Il est plutôt beau pour un occidental.
Gail Russell and Guy made such a good looking pair. Her drinking ruined the marriage and her life.
Sounds like you know far more than I about their relationship. I only know he was married twice, divorced twice, and had several kids, and grandkids. Everything I've ever heard leads me to believe he was as nice as he was beautiful.
@CollidePress I have been a black and white fan for many, many years. The actors' lives were run by the studio system. Guy should have had a bigger career. He had the looks, and with work, he had the talent.
♥️🌼🌈🌹💜
🌈✌️❤️⭐️💌
No photos with women, was he married?
He was married a couple of times and had several kids and grandkids. Good guy. Just chose to not show him with anyone. My impression is he preferred to keep his personal life out of the spotlight. Old Hollywood class...he signed sooooo many autographs. :-)
The sad thing being born handsome is that you automatically "attract" with your looks before doing anything.
All of us "plain and ugly" guys need to work on relationships!
I am sure Guy, himself would admit to this!
Did he need a "gay" manager when he seemed to be a normal masculine male.
But in Hollywood, things are totally different.
I'm sure you're gorgeous. Though specimens like Mr. Madison are indeed rare. Not as rare in the Hollywood machine. Not that familiar with the story of his manager, but sounds like the typical predatory folks I met along the way when I was working in the biz. It was a different time but some of the games were the same. From everything I've heard, Guy was a great guy. I always thought he was a good actor, though the critics do chide him for being a pretty boy. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, right?
@@CollidePress Please realize I am not accusing Guy of anything other than trying to establish himself in movies.
There is a book out there about his manager which explains the inner working of agents and the control they have over their "stable."
It totally explains the "Guy Madison" situation!
The book is: 2009 biography of Henry Wilson (agent for many male stars). Wish I had the title!
Totally get it. I've heard about the book (and think Netflix based a series on it). Having seen modern versions of it in real life, I decided to skip it and just enjoy the myths...even though I know they're just that: stories about humans trying to make a living in Hollyweird. ;-p
@@CollidePress So true!!!
