Apparently, many of you thought I was sponsored by Microsoft lmao. I don't think they would approve this.
Because they’re fools
Why use VS when you can user Word?!
Man I was laughing. Some people really don't get jokes, y'know
I actually looked for the link in the description :)
Microsoft word for programming feels as bad as vscode xD

Actually it has .doc support via extensions
Vscode is the best
I've written latex papers and restructured text documentation in vs code and it worked like a treat
Emacs is da way
@@swiftrealm im considering properly learning vi(m)... not sure if the delay learning the overhead for it is good for me right now though. I know the basics from when I was coding for a decades old solaris box haha
Initially, I was having difficulty to believe in this guy but then I saw the number of monitors he has 💯👏
More monitor = more skill
xD
@@simpleairplane1030 Ok, that's make sense...
He also has the biggest Windows I've ever seen
hunnnn, i just missed the laptop on his desk, you know every guy/girl with lots os responsibilities in a company has lots os monitors, a nice desktop and a powerful laptop. But from now on I will be better writing code with MSWORD. My life will change and tomorrow I will be a better man.
My favorite IDE is graph paper. I have 128 different colored pencils. Each of which representing one character. I color in each square with my pencil to represent the character that I need, photoscan the page, And then run it through a piece of software that costs $31,765/year and that will convert my pdf to a .c file which I then run through notepad++. It is a very effecient, cost-effective, and easy-to-use/do workflow!
Underrated
That is so genious bro...
Woah! That's impressive!
you are such a genius🤣🤣
Truly revolutionary
You should give GIMP a go. At first I was sceptical, but it has become my favorite IDE by far.
You can have the code sideways, upside down, make it 60% transparent, so it's harder to steal, but not inaccessible for your workers, except maybe the seniors.
You can even run Script-fu right there in the IDE!
🤣😂🤣🤣
60% transparency 😂
let's not forget using alpha channels to make desired code blocks reusable in different files
Ik this is a joke, but you *can* export gimp pictures as C code
@@marcopeterson805 X pixmaps specifically.
Cold
No, PowerPoint is the best because you can move code blocks freely and use different slides as classes. You can even create a UI!
Excel is best for me because I can neatly block, style, sort and indent my code in cells. Variables placed inside cells can be referenced with code in other cells with the powerful Excel formula language.
And it's Turing complete
😂😂😂😂
@@danielmbcn Paint is being depreciated. Wordpad still the way to go lol.

Having succesfully plug 3 monitors in a MacBook certifies you as a developer.
I've personally been using Windows Photo Viewer for years now and I've been struggling especially with code highlighting. Thanks for the eye opener. Just what I needed.
This reminds me of one of the first jobs I had out of school. It was doing assembly language programming on one of the early IBM PCs and the only tools I had available for editing were edlin and Microsoft Word for DOS. So I used word because, well, literally anything was better than edlin. Word wanted to always save everything in word format, so every time I forgot to explicitly save as text, it would cause the assembler to spew out an impressive number of errors.
interesting
Trur senior engineer
You could have used debug and written in assembly.
I think the best IDE is a piece of paper, you write your code on it with any tool and any style you want, then you take a picture of it, plug it in to a convolutional neural network to convert it to text, compile and run. It is by far the best method!
My man, LOL
wait you can do that?
You can even write the code from the ground up for the complex neural networks to upload to the computer in the first place and then scan it to the computer for efficiency. No reason to use another IDE to make the networks when the paper is so efficient.
But you must pay attention that the Paper and AI is from Microsoft because it is the best and Microsoft is the best
Pfft, the best IDE is your own mind. You just remember all the code as you invent it and autocorrect yourself.
And then you don't even need a separate neural network to convert it to text because that's already included into the IDE.
Imagine if a newbie in programming watches this as their first video on IDE and uses it
😂
that's literally me
That’s me right now 🥲
yes it is very helpful. He will just stop programming and say " oh programming is NOT for me"
🤣🤣🤣
Word as your IDE, Excel as your debugger is the META
I do by hand and use crayons to mark the functions. Works even with not computer on. 😉
Writing codes on paper is really a good way to start programming.
Nice, send your code to Elon Musk via fax for a hardcore code review
I use MS Paint. It doesn't autocorrect like Word and has a non-intrusive, easy-to-use interface that's friendly to beginners and pros alike.
Im laughing in tears, literally.
lmao that's underrated
Considering there is a programming language that uses images as code (Pete (?)) you can automatically use Paint as well for that! Best IDE by mile.
The next level is to paint an executable.

i personally prefer writing my codes in the backyard or frontyard of sims 2 homes, you can choose from multiple grass or path styles. no more touch grass jokes!
some variables can be literal plants, now this is what i call object oriented programming.
wandering dogs or sims may cause bugs by digging holes or laying on parts of the code thus obscuring it, but this is a feature, that can also be used for documentation. you may use simple cheat codes to make animals playable, and you place holes in front of the lines you wanna comment out. easy!
this is one of the most creative comments i have ever seen!
I remember that almost a year ago, when I started learning programming, I watched this video. I'm still using MS Word for my coding, and it's been a great choice for me. Thank you so much!!
I'm very disapointed, everybody knows that WhatsApp is the best IDE
It even has features to share the code with others
Only for pair programming
@@mindfulengineer Yeah. It is useless if you are working on your own. WhatsApp is only a good IDE if you are working in a group
XD
@@mindfulengineer you can create groups too ;)
Wow I was thinking on how do you document a coded and by far this is the most helpful advice I needed, Thanks Joma Tech! subscribed :)
One thing you can do in Word if you have some text and you want to replace some character with new lines. For example, given the string:
&hello=1&world=true
Paste the text into Word. Ctrl+H for find and replace - put & as the find and ^l as the replace (lowercase L)
Output:
hello=1
world=true
You can also use ^t to replace with tabs. For example you could replace = with ^t. Then you can copy all the text and paste it neatly into Excel as 2 rows with 2 columns.
Notepad++ can do this too - replace with
or \t if you choose "Extended" search mode, but Word is something non-programmers can use if you don't have Notepad++ but have Word, or if you're helping someone else at their computer to format some data they copied from somewhere to put it into Excel etc.

The thing is, my high school’s Computer Science courses back in like 2017-2019 used Microsoft Word as an IDE. No joke. Either that or you can use Google Docs for group projects. It was purely out of laziness and ignorance as our computer science teacher doesn’t actually know a thing about computer science, he majored in physics, and our school must’ve thought “good enough.” He was literally learning computer science as he was teaching us, and frankly, he probably did one or two half-baked lessons throughout the semesters. But with all that freedom though, the real passion ones excelled. Heck, I even found a loophole to get free Netflix for a while through a cookie’s vulnerability on their website. We sort of migrated from what was suppose to be a simple Python course on paper into a C++ one since our teacher did not understood the curriculum well and just asked what language we wanted to learn lol. For those less responsible though, it was just an easy marks class, basically everyone got 100s in it, but only a few actually deserved it. I will say, those few I know went on to become engineers during university later on and incredibly skillful folks in software. So it wasn’t a bad trade-off. It was all up to the student, which I love the idea of.
