Lewis' mother lost her sister by suicide and she was like what could I do to make you feel better. That's what this song is about.

The song's about losing someone you love to suicide and wondering, after they're gone, if there was anything you could have done to prevent it. The woman in the music video is always smiling, always laughing, but she had a storm to weather, as Lewis sings. You never know what someone's going through, even when they wear a smile. They could be hurting under the surface.
