It's a work of art. Beautifully replicated.
I own both Quarter Arcade Space Invaders and updated both of them. So far i'm aware of the update. It increases the sound by 15% and the sound quality improves. I could hear the difference before and after the updates.
Space Invaders famous for that deep low base, should be a little louder

No volume difference just enhanced clarity sounds have a wider rounder clarity… I almost feel like the bass volume sounds a little lower but it’s hard to tell on YT

Hmm. I was a little disappointed with Space Invaders Part 2-the Pepper’s ghost effect doesn’t overlay properly over what’s supposed to be the backdrop. When I play it, it feels like I’m viewing the ship and aliens through a black ink blot. It’s still playable but very distracting.
Thank you. I feel the same way, and you're the only other person I've seen say it. The effect is supposed to be that the aliens are floating above the planet. But what Numskull did is make it look like the planet is in the foreground of the aliens. I'm not sure if it's a mistake, or if that's all they could do because of reduced focal distances due to the reduced scale. Either way, I'm really disappointed in these because of that. I think all the praise everybody gives these for the Pepper's effect is either people not remembering what it looked like, or (perhaps because they're younger), they've never seen the original before at all.

There definitely is a difference thankfully. When I started your video, I had my brown noise machine going in the background. The pre-firmware test, I could hear everything except for the thumping aliens. After you applied the firmware update, I could now hear the thumping aliens! I'm glad I kept my brown noise machine on, because I could actually hear a difference between the tests. Now, does it mean there still is more to be done? I think so, if we're still not getting that classic thumping effect like we did in the arcades. I haven't done the firmware update on my machines yet, so I can't tell you on my end, but your video shows that there is a definite volume increase.

Quite a difference when you compared the two samples.
So yes, a marked improvement.
